Went to Stewart's from Charleston for hot dogs today. Food was terrible. Wieners were lying on top of a bun of chili which was barely a smear and Cole slaw which tasted almost spoiled. Asked for onions and there were maybe 3 or 4 small pieces there and they tasted old and like they had been chopped early in the day and left sitting out all day. The wiener was just plopped on top and the whole thing wrapped in paper. AWFUL!!!! Counted 5 or 6 employees and only one was wearing a mask! Will NEVER go back!

I love this eatery and usually order chili & cheese hot dogs with a root beer/fries. They are a good value and on multiple visits when I order, they inform me of a way to order a promo or combo and save. The staff is always friendly and quick. I am not sure of all comments made by the owner, but I was under the impression that they were related to faith or beliefs and not hateful in nature. I would hope that is accurate. I enjoy this business based on the food they serve.

The chili is the worst I’ve ever been subjected to and was horrid. Buns were dry as well. Also, found out after going that the owner is a raging homophobe. So if you prefer to avoid contributing to hateful owned establishments, steer clear of this place. Better to find a more welcoming establishment with food that’s not worse than a traveling carnival’s cuisine.

Since 1932, Stewarts has been the first and arguably best drive-in restaurant in West Virginia. Driving through Huntington, we knew we wanted to get hot dogs, especially since the city is home to The West Virginia Hot Dog Festival. The festival is held every year on the last Saturday in July except in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We narrowed our choices down to four between Frostop, Midway, Hillbilly Hot Dogs, and our ultimate pick which was Stewarts. We ruled out our 4th place pick Frostop due to lack of menu choices we liked as well as lack of parking space for our RV. Our 3rd place pick was Midway which just seemed too similar to Stewarts but not as cool to us and it hadn't been around as long as Stewarts. Our The sole reason we didn't go with our 2nd pick was since it was a 20 minute drive northeast of the city and we wanted something in Huntington. That left us with our winner during this trip, Stewarts, which is the original drive-in representing WV and had plenty of parking room for our RV. We were also pleased with the menu choices and prices. We ordered a 6 Pack Hot Dogs (only $6), a separate #2 Two Hot Dog Combo ($7) which came with 2 hot dogs, fries, and a medium drink, a separate order of Onion Rings ($2.80), and a Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshake ($3.25). They charged an extra $0.15 for each hot dog that came with onions, relish, and jalapenos. Issues: they only gave us (5) of the hot dogs in the 6-pack of hot dogs. So, I had to go up to the building and ask for our 6th dog. They acted fast to make it right and without hesitation. I would return to Stewarts again in the future if ever back in the area.

Stewarts hot dogs are very good. I've eaten their hot dogs for a least 55-60 years and they are still the best in town. I love them!

We visited in December and the waitress came right out to the car. We got a Christmas tree while we waited on our food and it was all done and ready in 15 mins. She also recommended how to save money on getting the special.

Looking for a good hotdogs on a summer's day, this was not it. Alot of fan fair for not much of anything. Sauce was not good. Found better places near with better hot dogs and sauce. My husband born and raised in WV thought it was bad. He was very disappointed.

I grew up with Stewarts Hot Dogs and Rootbeer. It was such a treat growing up. Now, every time I go to Huntington (I live out of state) I have to have Stewarts Hot Dogs!!!

We went for the basic pick-six, 6 dogs for six dollars. Add a drink/tax and that's $8.56. While I have eaten much better dogs, these were hot, basic and tasty.
