“After the first three restaurants we tried nearby were closed on Tuesdays, we stumbled into Cafe One Ten with a bit of desperation. The restaurant is spacious but a tad outdated, and only a few patrons were there when we entered, but the service was quick and friendly. In the end, we were pleasantly surprised. The prices weren't bad, and the food was good, especially the fried catfish and macaroni. I've never seen a Texas toast-style hotdog bun, so points for creativity! Personally, it was a bit too much buttery bread for a hotdog, but I can't say it wasn't tasty. If you're looking for light fare, the menu offers salads, but this probably isn't your best bet. The warm, local vibe is hard to beat, though. Thank you to Cafe One Ten for rescuing our Tuesday lunch!“
“I've been dining at the Gables since 1975. Larry and Sue Navicki have always been the greatest hosts and good friends to all of their customers. In all the years I have dined there I have never had a meal that was less than superb. It is 5 stars every time. I live out of state now but rest assured every trip back to the area includes at least one fine meal there. The Navicki family is one of the finest families I have ever known. It is no wonder why the meals are so great....they are a great family.“
“It was my first time trying here and I really loved their chicken ! The batter was amazing on it ! Our waiter was very friendly . The other staff I came across were friendly as well. My only complaint is that the back part away from the golfing area was a bit too crammed for me …I don’t particularly care for eating on top of others . As someone whom suffers from social anxiety it kind of dampened the whole vibe .“
“It appeared open for dining in, but we were ordering to take food to my elderly parents in the room. Everything was delicious and we’re glad the other two places we had looked up online to get dinner turned out to be closed (despite the fact that they were advertised to be open)! I can attest to the burger, fries, and salad being great at Dory’s. And, to the bartender, who took our order (although not a Browns fan ) I would also give two thumbs up! Follow your dreams and have a great time and learning experience at your upcoming conference. ????“
“I really enjoyed Cowboy Night!! This is an event to have once a month. The food was yummy. Bar service was lackluster due to not having enough bartenders to accommodate that full of a house. Also there needs to be more indoor seating, with a larger area total. The place just isn't big enough inside for a large crowd like they had especially during colder months. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly.Parking: Gravel lots“
“The most quaint little spot. Very dog friendly. Perfect to eat before hitting the national park nearby. Don't expect to get in and out super quick, it's a happening place, but worth it! There's a reason it's a happening place.“
“This place is an absolute gem and it is without a doubt the best food in the area, I wish i lived closer!! The staff and management went over and beyond for us to make sure everything was perfect!! its been a couple days and were still talking about it!!!! We ordered barratta salad, Homemade gnocci and rigatoni with spicy blush sauce with 2 sides and 2 salads. Grounds were impeccable and the inside of the resturant made you feel like you were eating at your families house! I hope i can make it back one day! Thankyou for spectacular dinner!“
“Found this eatery by accident while staying at the Quality Inn New River Gorge. The restaurant is in the building of the Inn and is quite a wonderful find.Roadhouse food at reasonable price with great staff. This is a hidden gem serving locals and travellers.not a big menu but enough to satisfy.Best wings in town and I can say that from experience.Has a great atmosphere to go with the food. This type of hotel with eatery is sadly lacking in our overly rushed world.Nice job folks.I'll be back.“
“Always a pleasure to stop by pinheads. Local secret… they have the beat pizza in town! The staff is super friendly. Even if you’re not bowling, it’s totally worth the stop for the great food, chill atmosphere, and good draft beer selection!“
