“We are very fortunate in Parkersburg to have THREE five-star restaurants. We had guests from Columbus and went to Southern Craft tonight. We had no wait (WVU game televised), prompt service and superb food—ribeye, short ribs, burgers, salads. Yum all the way around. It’s now been two years since it opened and we hope it’s here to stay.”

“This place is super nice and great location! I had the mushrooms and polenta in sauce. it was absolutely delicious! I would recommend getting some Tabasco and Sirachi for us spicy foodies!”

“I LOVED this experience! The server, Olivia, was patient and knowledgeable. She was also very attentive without being disruptive. The food was FANTASTIC! I love the idea of "all you dan eat" but not a physical buffet. The food was also really quick to get out, but nice and fresh. The price is a bit higher than I like paying for food, but it is ABSOLUTELY worth the price. I will be returning for sure!”

“My wife and I have eaten at the Dog Haus for years. The owner and employees treat us like family. The food, including desserts, is homemade and very delicious. Ribs are excellent. It’s your fault if you leave hungry, cause portions are generous. Overall a great place to have lunch or dinner.”

“I love everything about this place. It starts with the lovely building with the beautiful front door. Inside the ambiance is lovely, lovely furniture and decorations. Mexican music is playing at just the right sound level. The staff are always friendly and the prices more than fair. Everything is always so clean even the bathrooms. The food is plentiful and delicious every time. My test for a Mexican restaurant is usually Carnitas. Most places make them dry. Every time I have ordered them here they have been delicious moist and juicy!! Absolutely our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area.”

“They have delicious subd but they were a lot better when you could taste the smoked meat and cheese..I guess to curb the price hikes over the years the meat and cheese has been sliced thinner and thinner to the point you can almost taste it..I would much rather pay 10 bucks for a delicious sub than to pay 6 or 7 bucks for what used to be the best sub in town.. Hopefully the owner will see this and consider bringing back the meat and cheese ..

Vegetarian options: The subs do have meat as little as it may be.”

The bartenders, owner, and staff were great! Had a great time talking to other local customers at the bar as well. Too bad it's not in my backyard as I'd be a regular, but it's absolutely on the gotta-stop-in list anytime I'm in that area.”

“The Pizza Place has been a part of my diet since I was a kid. I live across the country now and I miss having it available to eat.
The cheese and sauce is a complement to the pepperoni that curls up to make little bowls for that delicious pepperoni oils.
The crust is like nothing else I have found in this country.

“I am not a typical bar person. I was looking for the best restaurants in Parkersburg and this place was towards the top of the list. I looked over the menu and was surprised at how many different options they had. I had the thick cut bologna sandwich. Wow, when they say thick cut, they mean thick cut. It was atleast a quarter of an inch thick. The downside was that it was just the sandwich. There were no sides. I this was a shame because the sandwich itself was over $7. But, I could not complain too much because it was very good. The sides are extra, but they come in huge portions to share with the whole table. I was in a group of 6 adults. The wedges were more than enough for everyone. Our waitress was great and was helpful with the menu. Some of the menu was a little hard to navigate, but she was great in explaining everything.”

“I've used the cafe for small and very large catering orders as well as personal meals. Catering has always been prepared fresh and the staff are easy to work with. I especially love stopping in for breakfast.”

“We go to Cheryl’s as often as we can. We always get great food and the service is unbeatable. When they are really busy or have a new cook, you will have a little bit of a wait. The staff always are kind to us and anyone that comes there. Today, we had Baked steak and it was so tender and delicious. Nothing but good to say. Everyone should try their Baked steak.”

“I have met some of the most sweetest customers come through the Drive thru! I’m glad I get to be a part of the team as well as a customer! My favorite go to Burger is a Dbl Cheeseburger with BBQ sauce, mayo, pickles and red onion …It’s made fresh when ordered!”

“I had dinner there tonight and it was very delightful. We were sat immediately and the waitress greeted us almost immediately after. We got the lemonade and sweet tea which were both amazing and the waitress made sure to fill the cups ALL the way. My boyfriend has celiac and he got the gluten free pasta and the waitress (Kim) was very delightful and helpful with this. My only complaints is the salad had wayyyyy too much dressing. Like a small child could probably bathe in the amount of dressing in the salad. Also the little tablet they give you charges for the games you play on it with no warning beforehand. Overall it was pretty good, pretty busy for a Thursday night.

Dietary restrictions: They have an amazing create your own pasta option for gluten free, however the meatballs aren’t gluten free. You can get the meat sauce though!”

“Our first time visiting this amazing local restaurant. Unfortunately, they were out of lasagna. But, the chicken alfredo, which was recommended, was literally the best that I’ve ever had! 10/10!!! We will be back!”

“I just moved to the area and was looking where to find Chinese food and I was directed here and my God am I thrilled I found them. I ordered take out, 5 different entrées, all of them delicious and packed to the brim. Some places don't fill the take out boxes, these guys PACK it in! I was able to feed 2 grown men, a picky 2 year old (who loved the food!) and myself with plenty of left overs for a very reasonable price. The lady even threw in a rice I said I didn't need, which I thought was thoughtful. I've definitely found my go to Chinese food restaurant!”

“Husband had this pizza years ago at a rural location. He completely forgot about it until seeing sign at a different location in another very rural area. I personally have never had it and I'm extremely picky when it comes to pizza. It's one of my favorite foods. Well he suggested I try it because he remembers loving it over a decade ago. So I agreed and got a simple pepperoni pizza and then drove 15 mins home. Only cost $11.99 plus tax for a 12" Pizza which is cheapest pizza I've ever purchased. I had to rewarm it which made me hesitant on the quality. I was totally wrong. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER EATEN. First purchase for me was yesterday and today I went out and bought 2 more. Great dough, sauce, cheese the works. I will forever be a Hunt Brothers Pizza only..”

“By far the best BBQ in the Mid-Ohio Valley, and I've tried them all. This isn't your typical boiled ribs or crock-pot pork with barbecue sauce on it. This is real, low and slow BBQ. In addition, the cornbread pudding is killer.”

“[[Sat.23.March.2024 @ 9:06am]]Was coming down south bound on Emerson from I-77 abt 5pm yesterday, while driving toward intersection of Emerson & Rosemar was thinking of getting some thing for dinner, question was, go in and set, make quick inside pickup or threw drive thru, almost to intersection happen to look to right and seen “China Kitchen” setting back in corner of plaza past gas station, made decision to turn right on Rosemar and right into plaza and head to China Kitchen for first time.It seems this china restaurant stays busy i guess due to intersection and traffic in area, walked in most of all these type restaurants are all about the same on inside couple to few tables, dining areas lil small, it is understandable not many customers hangs around to eat here usually take-out.The front cashier was nice and quick on her feet to get all customers orders and taken care of, i do have to say did not have to wait long at all to get my order, i think i was only there about 8 minutes but it was a small simple order.My order was: •Cheese “Huidun” Wonton’s• Egg RollsThe food was Good & was Cooked, Prepared correctly i had no problems with the food or taste at all, the pricing was wright on mark and no matter what when i do a inside pickup order any where i always give a $8-$10 tip, just think that is reasonable.”

“On Friday 10/13 I was in the store on 7th Street and the Manager on duty was very courteous I brought up an issue with my pizza. She was able to make me a new one and get it out to me very quickly. It's definitely a reason to return to this store due to the help of the lady with the long blonde hair! =D”

“We frequent this particular Taco Bell because it's the one closest to us. They are pretty speedy but sometimes to a fault. You may have missing items or the wrong item. In rare instances we have had stale bread products that are either hard or tuff to eat ( this doesn't happen too often) but it's disappointing when it does. They have some staff that are just not people oriented and there are a couple that are great and very helpful. I must say that most of the time our food is fresh and served fast.

“It's Hardee's. I always sort of enjoy Hardee's and at the same time am slightly disappointed. They seem to spring up like weeds in odd places where the major fast food chains aren't.

Maybe part of the appeal is that they are kinda rare, even in a big city like Columbus. I do remember enjoying their thick burgers, and I think they were at the forefront of that trend. However, they don't seen to have that same emphasis these days, and maybe not the same quality as all chains compete for the lowest cost options and cut corners.”
