Lol xD

This place is great! But it's been closed for what seems two years now. Not sure what happened but these guys aren't open anymore

Food is always delicious

I have been eating at the New Moon for over 40 years. The "curb appeal" is not what it once was and they no longer serve my favorite beer - Tsingdao (actually brewed in Qingdo, China...). However, they are THE BEST Chinese food in all of Casper - without rival!!!

Rally good food coming from a guy that judges on everything from the warm welcome to the food and location. We came to visit from TX and it's great food in my opinion.

In my opinion, this is probably the best Chinese restaurant in town. Yes when you walk in it is empty, but most of their business is probably take out. In 20 years I think we have eaten inside 3 times. But still the best in town.

A step back in time which was absolutely wonderful. The food and service was great. We will definitely be back.

Terrible smell. Owner served the table in a Winnie the Pooh t-shirt , no bra and slippers, totally unprofessional! The food was hard to eat because of the smell in there. Wouldn't go back ...ever! Good thing for them my father was with me or they wouldn't have gotten a tip at all!

Stopped by on a trip through Wyo, tasty food from a local joint. Really nice owner who talked to us while the order was being made. I will definitely keep this place on my mind when we go back through Casper.

Excellent Lo Mein. Just the right amount of good grease. Like Chris Tucker ended up digging the food in Rush Hour, good portion. Not to pricey.

The atmosphere is dark and kind of off putting. But the food was amazing! I'm going back for the food!

This is hands down the best chinese food ive had. The lady who works there is the sweetest lady whose been great to everyone in my family, and the food has never been disappointing in the last 30 years. Seriously, this is the best chinese food you could have if you are thinking about it.

Terrible place. Took an hour to get some of our food, I never got mine even 20 minutes after everyone else. The rice never came. The meals were about half the size of a normal lunch meal (we got 6 pieces of chicken for Sweet and Sour chicken).

Great Chinese food in Casper oldest Chinese restaurant. Service is great and food inexpensive. Sad more people don't come in to eat. Most take out.

I've eaten at every Chinese restaurant in the Casper area and this is the best in both food and service. The atmosphere is one of the best parts, diner style and very quiet (it was empty on the Saturday night we ate there). Everything was brought out hot and large portions (I took more than half of mine home). The egg rolls were some of the best I've had and our fried wontons were hot and fresh. We will 100% be returning here regularly.

No flux capacitor required. Be ready to step back in time. Literally. This well maintained 50's dinner has a soda j*** bar, walls adorned with stainless steel, Formica counters and tables and spinning Barstool's. Now add Chinese food from that era. You will know who your server will be. She's been running the place for 44 years. The menus are on laminated construction paper and along with the theme that I hope is coming through, probably are original. You get to pick your spot to eat and it's easy as it's usually empty. It's not a lengthy menu, but has most favorites. I started off with egg rolls and fried shrimp. The egg rolls were good and accompanied by a great tasting pink sweet & sour sauce. The shrimp were huge and the tempura was good. Both piping hot when individually delivered. There is only one soup available, egg drop. Not usually my first choice, but I really enjoyed it. It came with the fried crispy noodles. For entrees, the pork egg fu yung and combination fried rice were ordered. The pork egg fu yung or as I call them Chinese pancakes were amazing. So fresh tasting and fluffy with lots of green onions and assorted veggies mixed in. I didn't love the gravy on them, which reminded me of Heinz turkey gravy. The combination fried rice was huge and had equal amounts of shrimp, pork, chicken, and beef. It was light in color and taste and did not have the carrots and peas which I could care less for in fried rice. All meats were great, but the beef which was small and chewy. Overall 2 hot teas, 2 appetizers, 2 soups, and two entrees was only $26. Two large take out containers were required for all the left overs. Indeed it does take time. I guessed that our hostess, server, cashier was also our chef and would not be surprised if I was right. So it takes time and dishes all come out separate right off the oven. Overall I'd say that take out is the best bet, but if you have the time and want a personal hand cooked meal by a truly caring individual and her family check it out. The visit to the time capsule it's worth the look for sure.
