“Tucked away between two shops in downtown Mesa, Espiritu is a great little gem with scrumptious food and cocktails that will knock your socks off. I took my future hubby to be to celebrate his birthday. Reservations suggested since seating is limited and it does get pretty full. (We went on a Thursday night) The ambiance is intimate and service was swift and kind. Our server suggested types of cocktails and wine to pair with our meal. So speaking of our meal. We had the market special of 20 oz bone-in rib eye and 20 oz bone-in pork chop. Both had a nice sear and char on the outside and cooked to perfection on the inside. At first I didn't think I would finish since it is a lot of food, but it was too good not to stop! It also came with a side of bean soup and grilled flour tortillas and salsa. I highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't already. The chef is a James Beard award nominee and won on Chopped! You can tell his creativity and his love for cooking in his food.“

“We went for New Years to try it out for the first time. We had a party of 10 that included 3 young kids. Not only were they accommodating but they had our tables set up prior to arriving. That was a plus already. The staff was amazing and very helpful/friendly. While we got to enjoy our family time along with great amazing eats from their menu. So blessed to have amazing, friendly staff to ring in the new year with. They were awesome and the food was great. The establishment was so clean and even had sinks outside the restrooms in case you just needed to clean up. Definitely recommended!!! Also had so many TV’s with so many football games on lol. Great views of the tv’s no matter where you sat.“

“Have you ever eaten Nacho's only to get down to the bottom and you only have chips left! Not here they layer the Chicken Nachos and we actually had chicken left when we were done. Go during Happy Hour only $9.00 a meal in themselves. Pair it with one of there beers and you've got dinner! Great food no matter what you order.“

He ate one and took the other home.My other son had the Sole. He absolutely loved it. He and my wife both agreed it was very moist and flavorful.My clam chowder and side salad were excellent. Of course, I had already filled up on appetizers -- onions rings and stuffed mushrooms.Overall we had a very pleasant evening.“

“My 11 year old son and I stopped in for some sushi tonight and I must say. I've never been so mistreated by a place of business in my entire life. Food was just ok. Nothing special. I ordered 10 piece sashimi, 2 rolls, stuffed jalapeños, miso soup and a sculpin ipa. The girl didn't know what sculpin was and asked for me to point it out on the menu so I did. Our food started coming out and 4 of the 5 items were already on the table and my son and I were starting to get full. The waitress hadn't brought my beer yet and I stopped her and reminded her I hadn't gotten the beer I ordered and I no longer wanted it since we were already pretty far along into our dinner. After I mention this she quickly hurrys to the bar and brings the beer apologizing for the delay. I tell her like I said I no longer wanted it so she took it away. Later when she brings the check the beer that I didn't receive and said I no longer wanted was still on the check. I asked her to please remove it. The owner comes over and in an agitated and aggressive manner asks if there is a problem wirh the bill. I told him yes the beer needed to be removed. He says no he will not remove it since it was already poured. He walks over to bar and brings it back and says here is your beer you need to pay for it. I explained to him how I received it after I had gotten most of my food and no longer wanted it but he refused. He was beyond rude and unreasonable. Most restaurants would take back a beer even if you take a drink and don't like it, I didn't get my beer until I was done with 50% of my food and didn't want it anymore! I mentioned something about his poor customer service and how it's no surprise the place is empty with no customers. The guy gets really heated and demands j pay for the drink. I got up and told my son let's go and the owner begins to assault me pushing me in the shoulder to back me up. 3 of his staff and my son witnessed this. He then stood in front of the doors and would not let us exit until I signed the credit card slip. I went back to the table and signed it "F You" and he let us out but after he read the signature the owner ran outside the store threatening me and getting into my face while calling the cops. His staff even thought he was crazy and were begging me to sign it and they offered to reimburse me $5 cash for the beer. They said their boss was having a bad day. The staff even agreed that the beer came out late which should not have been problem to have it removed. I ended up scribbling something on another copy of the credit card receipt and he finally allowed us to walk away without harassing us. My son was so scared he was calling 911 himself because of how the owner was assaulting me and up in my face. All this mistreatment over a $5 draft beer. I will never step foot in this place again and I should press charges against the owner for putting his hands on me and assaulting me. He even mentioned he has it all on camera so he can validate himself everything that took place. I read over other reviews for this place and it seems this owner likes to argue and fight rather than take accountability for his and his staffs actions. It's unacceptable for anyone to EVER be treated this way, EVER.“

“I came here for a Yelp Elite Event. This meal was free, but even if I paid, I'd still be happy. I had the jumbo shrimp. It was butterflied and seasoned with a Cajon seasoning. I had fries and zucchini as my sides. The service was exceptional and the place was very clean Definitely will be back.“

“Went back to Angry Crab Shack in Arizona, had to share the awesome experience of this delicious food! Tried the Gator Nuggets, Mussels, and Fried Calamari and it was all so good! “I usually don't post on reviews and don't go out to restaurant alot because usually leave disappointed.Went out for Wife's birthday and first time comming to this location.Our server Alexander was one of best we had in long time.He was very attentive. Came by to check on meals, Never had to look around for drinks refills.No issues on changes on meals. Drinks came out fast.Food did not take long and came out hot and lots of it. None of my seafood was over cooked.Only downside was table and chairs. Our waitress spoke to the manager about the patron. the manager refused to say anything to the patron. as we left my husband told the patron we were leaving because of his language. he said he wanted to buy us a drink and tried to apologize, all the while using vulgar language!! “This place has a good selection of food and cheap beer. The dining room is good size, but it fills up quickly. In the evenings they have live music on the stage, and it is even more crowded. Chips and Salsa are good. The fish filet is lightly breaded and very good. They also have the kind that is the whole creature deep fried, but that's not for me! I highly recommend coming on Thursday because it is 50% off all dishes. My friend usually goes every Thursday! Sometimes the service is a little slow, especially when busy. Parking is usually a challenge, particularly in the evening and weekends. Bathrooms are a little scary. But the food is great and worth coming back.“

“For a gas station this place has really good chicken. The trick is getting there right after it's made but that isn't a hard stop. I have eaten here other times and it was still good. The sides are kinda bland but still edible. The biscuits... I haven't had a soft one yet but I can tell they'd be ok if fresh. All together, the chicken is four stars but everything else brings it to only three and a half stars. Great drunk food though!!!“
