We really like this restaurant. While Auburn has many good places to eat, Max's is one of the few places that feels a bit "nicer". So while the food is good (if not spectacular) the service is always pleasant and attentive, the atmosphere fairly quiet, and it feels "civilized". Note: However, the bar, situated in the middle of the restaurant, can become a bit loud, in which case all bets are off.
