“Amazing superb customer service! I would actually hope so for this space having limited seating.Note: if you feel like trying more than one main dish split it (ex:pho) and you’ll have a solid amount of food, they are not stingy about their splitsBanh mi was delish and packed high! They get their bun from a bakery in Los Angeles.Spicy garlic tofu bites were good. Their homemade chili oil was good too!Pho was solid just wish they had a different type of noodle and didn’t cut it up so much when splitting. The noodles were so short and they were hard to grab with the chopstickMetered parking on Montana and it’s right next to the dry cleaners near the cornerVegetarian options: They have options that’s just veggies onlyParking: Paid Street meter parking“

“Feels like a modern trendy hip pho spot that totally passes the vibe check. We were greeted as we came in even during the busy dinner time.Sat at one of the booths with space to have a stroller next to us without being in the way for others. The staff are super friendly with awesome ink tats and just super chill.I ordered the #4 pho with streak and brisket which was yummy, next time I will for sure get a large. We got 2 orders of the #30 the minced pork and veggies egg rolls which were delicious and gone as quickly as they came.Huge dinning area with a modern rustic open kitchen décor.Needed to stay up so I got me a Vietnamese coffee which was on point. Can’t wait to come back to try other things off the menu.Parking: Big parking lotKid-friendliness: Able to fit a stroller next to our table“

“If you're interested in trying popular Vietnamese entrees outside of pho, head over to Be U! This woman-owned eatery is located in a prime hipster Echo Park neighborhood, and to me, it's a perfect blend of my culture superimposed on Los Angeles's colorful cityscape. The menu ranges from homey comfort-food entrees to popular street bites, and some new-age fusion items as well. Atmosphere: 2/5 As a take-out-only restaurant located on Hoover Street, there's no seating and it faces traffic. If only there were some colorful plastic chairs (like the ones you see in SE Asia) - the vibes would be immaculate. However, you're either standing and eating or taking the food back to your home. Service: 3/5 Wasn't bad but wasn't warm or friendly either - service was okay Flavors: 5/5 Highly recommend: -Banh mi trung op la (banh mi with fried egg): homemade mushroom pate is delicious, it inspired me to make some at home. The egg was crispy to the heavens. -Rau ma juice: in English known as pennyworth, extremely refreshing, herbal, and will cool you down on a hot day. -Tofu goi cuon (spring rolls): The peanut sauce offered with this was so yummy! The spring rolls were super fresh and all the herbs complemented the flavors. Parking: 2/5 Street parking only, very limited Pricing: 3/5 Definitely not cheap for Vietnamese food, however, LA is a high-cost-of-living area so I understand that the owner needs to maintain overhead costs and pay her employees a fair wage! Expect to pay $4-5 higher than what you're used to paying in the OC/SJ/SGV. The reason why I rate it low is because the portions are significantly smaller than what you'd get at a traditional sit down Vietnamese restaurant Overall I recommend Be U if you're unfamiliar with Vietnamese food outside of mainstream pho, but if you're willing to drive to SGV, Garden Grove/Westminster, you'll be truly immersed in the cuisine and culture“

“Casual family-run Vietnamese spot that serves classic eats. Came here for dinner at 8pm on a weeknight with a friend and there was no wait. Parking is available in the back. Indoor dining only. Credit cards accepted. There was a Yelp check in deal where you could get 5% off your bill. We ordered some spring rolls as apps to share and they were very crispy. I had the pho tai and it was very filling. I liked the broth and the leftovers kept fairly well the following day.“

“The Pho is enough for 2 people and it's delicious! We have had both the chicken and the Wagu beef. Also, the rice plates with fried rice and either Wagu beef or spicy pork is really good. We get one of each (Pho and rice plate) and share. We are quite full and satisfied when we finish! And the prices are very reasonable.“

“My favorite spot for Vietnamese food. Prices are fair. Portion sizes are huge. Best if all it's authentic. They also have dishes from different regions of Vietnam. This time I order Pho Ga, Banh Knot, Egg rolls, Curry fried rice, Beef Banh mi, all the desserts & salty plum soda. Everything was delicious. We had nice amount left overs. After we went home into our food coma.“

“Best pho around. It's changed hands before but they still have the original pho recipe from when it was Pho Hua. It will not disappoint. Make sure you save room for dessert and walk across to US Best Donuts. They're also the best as well.“

“Food was good. Service was great from the owner's wife, Helen, herself. The place was very clean and big spaces between tables. There is an added tables from space outside the restaurant uf you see it full. Their table was cut off from a big trunk of a tree which the couple owner designed. If you go to their Vernon Pho in Alameda we should see more of these kind and beautiful tables, Helen said. I give this place a 10 for food, cleanliness and service!“

“Great prices for good comforting food. The pork sausage spring roll is great. The pork is very flavorful and the fresh mint is everything. I liked my beef pho but the broth was kinda sweet for me. No MSG used. Service is good. It's in a mini mall with limited parking. Wish they weren't closed Mondays and close at 8:30 pm when open.“

“ive been coming here now for close to 3 months. absoutely love this place. they know me and my bf now because we order EVERY dish with extra meat. hahha. add shrimp to everything it tastes amazing. we have gotten thai dishes, soups, and banh-mi sandwhiches and we love it all, infact .... its too hard to decide so when I go I just order everything and take it home for left overs. typically we go now 1-2 times a week and make it a routine. its too good to pass up. this is a local gem!Parking: easy , its a big lot, if you go at night parking is simple, during day maybe alittle harder because there are only like 10-20 spots, but never had a problem ever.“

“Last year during the writers strike when I was working for Uber eats during the big storm, someone ordered pho from here all the way to Altadena. Now I know why. Their pho ga is usually good. It's tender. And the vibe is just really cool. The prices are fair for Hollywood, too. Seems to be a local favorite. Never too busy but there are always orders coming in and eat in couples drifting through.“

“Very unfortunate rating I have to give, because I actually enjoyed the pho. I originally ordered the oxtail pho, but after like 10 minutes found out they were sold out.The broth was nicely seasoned, not as clean/clear as I’d like though, the rib eye was okay, but there were not enough noodles. Anyway, I ordered shrimp egg rolls as well. I was almost done with my pho before they came out. Yet and still? They came out FROZEN! Not cold, or old, FROZEN!“

“Came here with some friends and decided to have the Charboiled Beef With Rice (I'm not a fan of Phở, even though I've tried it countless of times in countless different places. The meat was seasoned to PERFECTION. I actually wanted to order a SECOND meal JUST like the one I had just finished having when I ate it. It was THAT good. Service was also great. It was around 12 of us and they handled our orders so quickly and efficiently. Definitely a place to check out for good Vietnamese food.“

“Spacious pho restaurant in a little KTown plaza. Conveniently located right next to a bus stop. Valet parking in the lot, but you should be able to self park/street park. The takeout and ordering in experience is very fast, and staff is nice. They have the menu under a glass cover on every table, at every seat. I felt pho was better than average, but not the best I've had. I got the pho with meatballs, and the meatballs came quartered. I didn't enjoy the texture of the meatballs and it's possible they could have been frozen, which was regretful because I feel like a proper, handrolled meatball can really make a bowl of pho go to the next level. Good amount of noodles and the broth was also good. We also got the vermicelli and grilled pork, which was flavorful. Dish came with pho broth and a spicy/sour dipping sauce. I'll probably opt for a vermicelli/rice plate next time I come here. Overall, prices are very fair for LA. A bowl of pho will run you $12 here, and a combination pho (with varied meats like their brisket, tripe, meatball etc.) is just above $13. Hits the spot for pho, but not mindblowing to me. Still a solid spot to stop for a quick meal or conversation.“

“Fave pho place here in South Bay. #16- CHICKEN BREAST in PORK BROTH. I'm usually not a fan of chicken breast in my pho. By the slices or so tender. The broth is clear and flavorful. Once you try this you will never go back. BANH XEO- this is the egg pancake with chicken, shrimp , and bean spouts. This was SO good especially if you wrap if the lettuce and mint and dip it in the sauce. The egg part was so chewy. I LOVED it here. Will make this place my go to!“
“Saw this restaurant on Door Dash. This is now my go to Vietbamese restaurant. Ingredients are fresh and everything is super flavorful. The spring rolls. Garlic noodles and shrimp fried rice are my fav. Looking forward to trying more items from their menu. I love the spice level of their food. That peanut dipping sauce is life. 10/10 would eat again.“

“I got the “wagyu” or the house bowl. It was good. Personally nothing to blow you away. The soup was rich in beef flavor though not as fragrant and aromatic as I wish it was. When served you also don’t get a side plate of herbs so you’re not getting any big aromatic pho flavors. This place looks hella closed and dare I say, dingy, on the outside but the inside is nice! Service was good, and not only was I seated quickly but I also got my food quickly! Generous portions with a good amount of meat. All in all, I think it’s a 7/10 overall.“

“This is the best restaurant in all of Los Angeles. Yup. I said it. Firstly, yes it’s Vietnamese food, but with a homey, DELICIOUS spin, where they favor simple yet powerful flavors, SUPER fresh ingredients and don’t get overly complex with anything. It’s just perfect.I have tried most everything on the menu and have continuously come back for many many years. Ten years? When did you guys open? How old am I? What’s going on? All I know is, it tastes exactly the same and exactly as delicious all these many many years later!! I don’t know a single restaurant that has upheld that consistency while keeping things delicious over the years.Have a Vietnamese iced coffee with your pho & get the jackfruit mix for starters. Or the jicama chicken meatball. Or the fresh rolls. Ooo or get a bahn mi. Yeah I wasn’t kidding. I like everything on the menu!“
“In my opinion, this is the best bowl of pho I've had in LA and I've tried them all. I think the reason I'm giving this business four stars has to do with both the ambience and the selections on the menu. For starters, they do not offer other traditional Vietnamese dishes, like spring rolls, or bun. It seems that it is very limited to Pho and some fried options. The ambience was very bright, and the music was a bit loud for my taste. I like something a little bit more subdued, but I understand that I'm being a bit picky. But the actual Pho itself? Unbelievably flavorful. Another complaint, they do not offer the nuc bro which is traditionally available at every pho place I've ever been to. On the plus side, they have what it is almost a salad bar type, set up where you can grab the sides for the Pho that you want: lime slices, basil, bean, sprouts, jalapeño slices, and onions. This is perfect for me because I like to have a little more basil and onion, but I don't care for the jalapeño and that way none gets wasted on me. If you're only interested in getting a bowl of pho, you are in the right place. I will be back here again for sure.“

“I love pho in Korea too, but coming here makes me feel like I’ve had the pho of my life!! I had rice noodles 5 times, and the spiciest flavor was deliciously spicy according to the standards of spicy chicken, and the basic flavor was deliciously spicy according to the spicy standards of Shin Ramyun! It was nice that they gave me plenty of onions. If you travel to LA and crave soup, definitely eat this!! It's better than most Korean food in Koreatown and the price is cheaper.“

“Love their combination meal. It either comes with 1 spring roll or 2 egg rolls a bowl of brisket and rare steak pho, and a drink. For about $18 or so. You can add a Thai tea for an additional cost but definitely worth it. They also open at 9am which is convenient.“

“I came here for some phô with friends figuring I would find something on the menu, being LA. Turns out they have a whole vegan menu! The phô was great and I saw that they had bahn mi and knew that I'd have to come back. I did and will come back again too. Everything I had was great. Bahn mi was spicy and came with great taro fries. Updated from previous review on 2024-03-13“

“Celebrated the Mother's Day here with my family for a party of 6 and I am very happy of the choice of restaurant. The ambiance was beautiful. Perfect for the occasion for sure! The food was amazing! All of what we ordered was delicious! Photos attached. From appetizers all the way to the desserts, we all loved them all! It was definitely Vietnamese cuisine with a nice modern twist on flavors! We had everything shared by family - family style, per our server's suggestion and it was just perfect! They had a nice sized bar and ample of choices of drinks and cocktails. Service was good, in spite of the day being very busy because of the occasion. She was awesome when it came to knowledge of menu and drinks, and her suggestions were on par! Ambiance was great, with their beautiful wall papers all around! Parking was a bit difficult. There was a valet parking area but something was happening next to the restaurant ( apparently shooting a movie or video) that made the parking area super crowded and hard to get to. I'm sure it wasn't the case on any other day. Overall, this restaurant was great and I would go back to it again for sure!“

“We picked up a banh mi and it was just okay. Overall it tasted fine, the sriracha mayo was good. The bread was undercooked and too pale and my first two bites of the pork were just chewy fat. Once I got rid of those pieces, the pork was okay but I had to take a bunch out.“
