They just opened Nov/Dec 2023... so spread the word and go get some of their DELICIOUS FOOD!I absolutely loved their chicken sandwich. So good. Perfect balance of flavors. Super hot and yummy (I didn't do the spicy one, just regular). My husband will likely try the spicy chicken sandwich next time, although he LOVED the Vaquero Tacos. Said they were "Legit. “We have eaten here a handful of times now so I am surprised I haven't reviewed it before as it quickly became a family favorite! This is the type of food that is a good for your soul...everything is beautifully plated with rich flavors and diverse textures. The food is creative while having traditional elements and everything tastes fresh and like real food...no stick to your stomach heaviness. The restaurant has a cool vibe to it with the addition of murals and artwork throughout. And the severs are so friendly and attentive. My only complaint (and it isn't even really a complaint) is that if you want a quick bite to eat...this isn't the place. Be prepared to sit, relax, have a couple of drinks and snack on some chips and salsa while enjoying good conversation and good company while you wait for a delicious meal. I gravitate to the enchiladas blancas. The one time I didn't order it, I ended up getting it halfway through my first entree because I realized I had made a personal dire mistake. My husband always returns to the enchiladas verdes. We are interested in trying the more Italian inspired dishes in the future but when we are craving this restaurant, this is what we return for! The enchiladas blancas are smothered in a creamy white sauce that is absolutely delicious and are stuffed with crispy potatoes. Everything, along with the fresh cabbage, red onion, and crispy little puffs on top, is perfection! It is served with rice and beans (the perfect compliment to any enchilada) and I cannot recommend it enough. Definitely a favorite that we will continue to return to!“

“Birria quesa pizza was killer. So cheesy and the meat was tender and flavorful. I will definitely be going back for that again. We also had the shrimp tacos and those were delicious as well. The shrimp were not over cooked like some fried shrimp tends to be and it had a good amount of Pico, cabbage and a tasty Chipotle sauce. I would order both dishes again and am looking forward to trying other things on their menu. Also, the staff were very sweet and did a great job.“

“I've definitely been living under a rock. Even friends and family are surprised that I've never been here. I'm disappointed in myself for not trying this out sooner. I was craving carne asada fries and 3 people recommended this place to me. The carne asada fries are hitters. I love the skinny fries and the amount of meat and toppings it had. Typing this makes me want to get it tomorrow, lol. The lady who took our order was very nice as well. My husband asked for extra salsa and she gave us multiple with no charge! How sweet is that. We enjoyed the adobada burrito too! I'm sure everyone already knows they used to be inside the gas station, but now they're just right outside of the shell gas station in their truck! Yeah I know, I'm late. It's cool that you can order ahead of time too and just pick up!“

“Every now and then they run a special of "Chicken Mole" and it is to die for! Best I've ever had! The way the ingredients and spices blend along with the generous amount of chicken involved makes this my all time favorite dish not only here but anywhere! “Bomb. Try the tacos. You won't regret it. Average fast food type setting in the restaurant. Food delivery is quick and easy but it was a little pricey. Service was impersonal but pretty spot on for fast food. Plenty of parking. Easy to find from freeway.“

“This restaurant/food stall is located inside Tilted Mash Brewery. I ordered the chicken, carne asada, and al pastor quesadillas. They were all good and they add a good portion of meat in each. The al pastor was a bit too oily. The cool thing is that you can add additional pickled vegetables and salsas in your quesadilla. I would go back next time I am at Tilted Mash.“

“It's probably the best, most authentic mexican food in Elk Grove. It is an order at the counter, and find your table sort of place. The salsa bar is the bomb. Had takeout recently, and it wasn't as good. Pastor burrito was not great compared to the pastor plate I got on another visit.“

“I was looking for a place in Elk Grove that offered breakfast burritos in the area, so I decided to give Taco Express a try. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. It was an ample portion of meat, potatoes and eggs. My only gripe is I asked for sour cream which was they forgot to add. Also, the staff are friendly. I plan to return to T.E. to try other items on their menu based on my positive experience.“

“Always so good!! The service is always great! Is it authentic...not very but the food is always good and fresh! They finally have some good help with management. For a while it seemed like the GM was there EVERY day! He's amazing but I am sure he enjoys some time off here and there. Anyway I saw a newish manager the day I went and he was great and friendly. We sat on the patio which is so underrated! Love the patio, love the staff and love the food!“
