2.5 stars but rounded up to 3 because I really wanted to like this place. Glad there's a nice sit down mexican restaurant in Elk Grove that isn't self serve. The server, teno? was very nice to me and my partner but we can see how his tone made him seem unpresentable to some as there were wandering eyes about the way he communicated to tables nearby. The 3.5 stars is very misleading. This place is 5 stars, best in EG. The atmosphere feels very homey and comfortable. The service is amazing and the food and drinks are even better!! I highly recommend!

Every now and then they run a special of "Chicken Mole" and it is to die for! Best I've ever had! The way the ingredients and spices blend along with the generous amount of chicken involved makes this my all time favorite dish not only here but anywhere! As always the service is top notch and the ambiance is amazing. Always a pleasure to frequent this Elk Grove landmark. It's been here for 25 years for a reason.......because it's good! Very good!
