The fact that they are able to achieve gastronomy to a vegetarian/vegan level is quite impressive. I don't eat sea urchin, but they were able to adapt their "Perigord Truffle Chawanmushi, Uni & Trout Roe" dish and make it with mushrooms instead. Probably one of my favourite dishes on the menu! They also have an excellent selection of wine. Oh and this is the perfect spot for a super romantic evening, but totally see this as a spot where you can celebrate your birthday with a group of friends. “Farmhouse kitchen is the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever had. On top of the food being great and delicious, the presentation makes you want to order everything from the menu. Chef Bo was so nice to come out to our table and all I can say is she was a very nice, young & talented person. She even made me a special dessert for my birthday. Thanks Bo❤️ I highly recommend this place if you want an authentic, excellent and delicious food. In addition, the place is so full of life. The decor is amazing! “The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

I must have dined there +20 times and it just keeps getting better. And, NO, I was not paid for this review. I am particularly “gushing” with my comments this time because my wife and l are dealing with stressful external forces in our life and AOC provided a little quiet from the storm and performed perfectly in every way. “Pictured are the Tokyo Rich Tsukemen and the Smoked Dashi Ramen.The Tokyo Rich Tsukemen carried my experience here at Tonchin LA. I came here solely for the noodles made in collaboration with Keizo Shimamoto from Shimamoto Noodle Inc. They are really the star of the bowl. The tonkotsu gyokai broth was alright, but overall, this was one of the better tsukemen you can find in Socal imo.The Smoked Dashi Ramen, on the other hand, was quite weird. It starts off fine but the longer you take to eat it, the fishier the broth will get so get ready to slurp fast ?“

Ipswich Claim had a wonderful coating and excellent flavor. The Fried Brussels Sprouts outstanding flavor. The French Dover Sole with the lemon, capers, butter and parsley, amazing flavor. Lump Crab Toast bold and delicious flavor.The one dish I would pass on next time is the Tins. We had one tin with Sardine In Olive Oil With Lemon and one with Hake In Green Sauce. They just lacked flavor.Service was top notch.“

“We have been going to Horses ever since they opened since it’s right in our neighborhood. The most friendly staff with a big shout out to Amanda. The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.“

“I had been looking forward to trying Hatchet Hall for a while and went with my husband before a comedy show. There are a number of aspects of the experience that were lovely and some that make me wonder if I will be back. Food: 7/10 - Good but did not get wowed by anything! We got the cornbread which tasted like eggs (I hate eggs) so it was meh, the hush puppies were delicious, then we got a salad which had barely cut lettuce and was COVERED in dressing. We shared the oysters which tasted like cumin and cinnamon and the scallops which were delicious. Would love to come back with different things on the menu. Service: 6/10 - it was too much. Our waiter was nice and pretty knowledgeable but we only saw him occasionally. I really wish we did not see the busser as much as we did. He was ALWAYS at our table and reaching over to pour water. I get that they charge 20% for service but it took away from the dining experience a bit. Atmosphere: 8/10 super cute vibes and tucked away in a garden feel. We went for dinner at 6 and we were pretty cold when it ended because we sat in the outdoor section near the inside. One other weird thing is 2 bathrooms for all those guests- yikes. I also looked at a wall the entire time. Overall we enjoyed our time and the team was efficient but I did not leave wowed to come back, especially for the price point.“

I love ricotta cheese and the house made ricotta here is some of the best I’ve had. Paired perfectly with the bread. I ordered the rigatoni and it was hands down the best vodka sauce I’ve ever had. The tomatoes in the pasta were bursting with flavor, the pasta cooked perfectly, and there was just enough basil in it. My husband had the cavatelli. He said it was the best pasta dish he’s ever had. The cheese and the pork worked well together and the pasta was also cooked perfectly. For dessert I had the mini cannolis and my husband had the panna cotta. He normally doesn’t like espresso but said it balanced perfectly with the chocolate. My cannolis were great. You can tell they fill them to order so they’re not just sitting there. I live on the east coast but I can’t wait to come back to LA and come back to Scopa!“
