“It's 60-some cents per ounce. Cheesecake and peanut butter were really good, but dulce de leche was meh. Lots of nice toppings; the cheesecake bits are real and yummy - not the weird fake stuff Yogurtland has.“

“This is what spontaneous LA dining is about. Just walked by hungry. Super cute. You can be sat with full service or you can order with a number and find a lil spot to eat with a number. Both ways are full menu. Everything was tasty and out quick.“

“Great staff. Had a bit of a “discussion” with gentleman at wine bar. I believe he was just ringing me out and not the sommelier as my glass of wine was a bit off and I just wanted a repour. He did not agree and there was some push back. I wasn't asking for anything free just a new glass after I had only taken a sip. Otherwise great experience. Staff in dining area super attentive and friendly.“

“This place was so popular and for a good reason. The Moo-Ping did not disappoint. The skewers were so tender with the right amount of fatty and lean meat and the seasoning was full of that Asian sweetness. The jade noodle (no soup) was delicious with the 3 different kinds of meat and the vegetables creating a wonderful medley of flavor. The crab curry had a wonderful creamy taste and a slight kick. Everything was amazing. Could not have asked for better Thai food.“

“I visited holy grail donuts today. And I'm telling you that it was great experience to enjoy good donuts. You can see how your donut is made and who makes your donuts in the store. It was so fresh and I've been never experienced this before. The vibe was cozy and comforting. Also staffs were super friendly. Strongly recommend. I wish donut shop like Holey Grail Donuts exists in my country too ;( Maybe little bit expensive but worth to try. You won't regret it.“

“Every time I’m in LA/Eagle Rock, I have to stop by here. The donuts are sooo good, creative flavors, and fresh. I buy a dozen or 2 and trail my butt back to OC and my family is so excited. The vegan donuts are sooo good!! Don’t let that ube cake donuts fool you, it’s so soft and airy. My favorite along with vegan ube glaze. Yum!“

“The place is gorgeous, especially if you love a nice terrace. The food... Is it because it's the only middle Eastern gluten free place, or is it because the ingredients are fresh, or is it because the preparation is perfect, or maybe it's all the small details... I think it's all of the above, one of the best middle Eastern places in LA, and the best gluten free one :) enjoy their manahish!“

“I came from Minnesota to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint! Coming from a place where good gluten free food is hard to come by 401K knocked it out of the park.I’ve never been to a place where I can order EVERYTHING on the menu. I had the mini corn dogs, focaccia, sliders, banana bread pudding, and churros. The menu doesn’t really make sense but it’s everything you miss most when you have celiac. The bread was fluffy and cooked to perfection. The sliders were plucked with flavor and the buns were soft and fluffy. The bread pudding was to die for! A perfectly balanced dessert.Lastly and my Favorite were the churros! they were so delicious and melted in my mouth.I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, if you’re gluten free or not check out this gem.Another plus is that they food & drinks are very reasonable priced. I would’ve spent more on this meal in MN.The owner was also very personable, she chatted with every table, including ours. Such a lovely experience and we will be coming back every time we’re in LA.Dietary restrictions: Great for vegans and celiacs. 100% GF kitchen.Parking: Free street parking on the street next to the building.“

“Bf's family is part Danish and I get them treats here. The mom said her favorite cake is Princess cake but that I shouldn't worry about it because it's so hard to find.Copenhagen Pastry to the rescue!I called and they told me they always have slices available and I might get lucky getting a cake in the morning but it's best to order online. It was easy to order the cake online and ask for personalization.Pick up was also easy and the staff is always so nice! She loved the cake! She was so very happy.“

“Chocolate Oreo Ice Cream! Let me tell you it definitely hit the spot, one of the best ice creams I've tried I can see why it's one of their top flavors. I got the single scoop and it's a good amount of serving but I should have gotten a double scoop for sure! If you love chocolate ice cream and Oreos, then this is the perfect flavor for you. Although, there is a hint of coconut in the aftertaste in case you're not too huge on coconut. But the actual flavor overpowers it. We went late at night but the service was still good! You have to be careful not to miss the window it's right next to a small coffee shop. There's a few chairs around to sit after or you can walk around and see the other shops around. Very small space but great ice cream! I will definitely need to go back and try other flavors!“

“My boyfriend and I have been to this location several times and love it here! We noticed that our service is more attentive around dinner time vs lunch time. At lunch, we are not greeted as much by a server. We even had to find our server to pay out. Overall the food, drinks, and ambience is what keeps us coming back.“

“If you're interested in trying popular Vietnamese entrees outside of pho, head over to Be U! This woman-owned eatery is located in a prime hipster Echo Park neighborhood, and to me, it's a perfect blend of my culture superimposed on Los Angeles's colorful cityscape. The menu ranges from homey comfort-food entrees to popular street bites, and some new-age fusion items as well. Atmosphere: 2/5 As a take-out-only restaurant located on Hoover Street, there's no seating and it faces traffic. If only there were some colorful plastic chairs (like the ones you see in SE Asia) - the vibes would be immaculate. However, you're either standing and eating or taking the food back to your home. Service: 3/5 Wasn't bad but wasn't warm or friendly either - service was okay Flavors: 5/5 Highly recommend: -Banh mi trung op la (banh mi with fried egg): homemade mushroom pate is delicious, it inspired me to make some at home. The egg was crispy to the heavens. -Rau ma juice: in English known as pennyworth, extremely refreshing, herbal, and will cool you down on a hot day. -Tofu goi cuon (spring rolls): The peanut sauce offered with this was so yummy! The spring rolls were super fresh and all the herbs complemented the flavors. Parking: 2/5 Street parking only, very limited Pricing: 3/5 Definitely not cheap for Vietnamese food, however, LA is a high-cost-of-living area so I understand that the owner needs to maintain overhead costs and pay her employees a fair wage! Expect to pay $4-5 higher than what you're used to paying in the OC/SJ/SGV. The reason why I rate it low is because the portions are significantly smaller than what you'd get at a traditional sit down Vietnamese restaurant Overall I recommend Be U if you're unfamiliar with Vietnamese food outside of mainstream pho, but if you're willing to drive to SGV, Garden Grove/Westminster, you'll be truly immersed in the cuisine and culture“

“So excited and proud Sugarbird finally has a storefront. My family and I have followed Chef & Owner Kei since it first started and only had regular priority mail delivery and pickup from a co-op location in Downtown LA. I stopped by after the Montrose Farmers Market, where Sugarbird was before and I believe still is for other Farmers Markets, and Kei herself was managing the store. She was nice and really excited to finally have her own storefront. I got a free tea, free clotted cream, the tea sandwich set, six scones (ube, lemon blueberry, matcha, fig & rosemary, passionfruit & earl grey) and shortbread cookies.“

“Yearly Update - GO THERE! It's the best bakery around, the pastries are so fresh and delicious and they do seasonal things. We love this place and go there every weekend as our family treat. They were and still the best!! Everyone there is so nice and their welcoming vibes projecting straight to their food and coffee. Amazing place that just keep getting better and better!First, GO THERE!The pastries are amazing and fresh (right out of the oven), the coffee is great, and there are so many vegan options (but not everything is vegan, so you have a choice). The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are so welcoming. “I really went back and forth between giving four or five stars. This is my second visit to Gjelina and I love the food and the environment. We had a quick, light lunch of olives, simple salad and pizza. The salad was very fresh, the pizza was delicious. The prices are pretty outrageous, but it is Abbot Kinney so we expected that. Our server was lovely. What caused me to take a star off was that a woman came and completely cleared our table while my husband was still chewing and had a full slice of pizza in his hand. I can understand pre-bussing some unnecessary plates from a small table, but to take every plate, every piece of cutlery while my husband was still eating was excessive and made me feel rushed, like they were trying to turn over tables. I work in hospitality and this is the kind of rush you expect from a Red Lobster, not a nice restaurant on Abbot Kinney. I absolutely would go back and I realize I’m being particular, but at this price point and having worked in both high volume corporate and fine dining, I know what to expect as you wrap up your meal and this wasn’t it.“

“10/10 I love a good sushi spot ! This place is hands down one of my fav places to get sushi from it's not your typical sushi spot where they have regular fancy rolls. Someone's less is more and this is definitely one of those it is a very basic hand roll ( seaweed , rice and your choice of fish) but it is so FRESH and quality is there !“

“Such a unique dining experience. Quite a few celebrities have also eaten here. They have a special booth you can reserve that’s pretty much in the kitchen but idk if I would ever reserve it because it’s also on the walkway for everyone to enter the restaurant. We were placed on the upper level. It was very quiet and secluded. The food is ordered for families so the whole group had to decide on food. The waiter was so attentive. Our drinks were topped off. He had such a great attitude and knew the menu very well. This was a great experience all together. And hands down 10/10 stars for that waiter. I can’t remember his name but whoever was working on the evening shift on 5/5/2024 on the top floor (the older gentleman) he deserves a raise.“

“I think I just had the best chicken karaage known to man! One bite and that's all she wrote! Mind blown! They also have different kinds of crispy goodness! The chicken wings were spectacular! I thought nothing gets close to Semenza's Pizzeria chicken wings in Reno, NV. I think I have a new benchmark. We had to travel 40 miles just to try this new place and one way to extend the umaminess was to order 1 kilogram of karaage to-go. Easy to air fry. I have to comeback for their tendon (sold out). Food came out exactly 12 minutes! As promised by the gentleman who served us. Inside was clean and there are a few tables where you can sit and enjoy these crunchy, crispy, juicy, mouth watering heavenly treats. Parking maybe tough especially on weekends.“

“We came here as a group of 6 on a Friday night and the wait for a table wasn't too long. We sat outside and there was an outdoor heater lamp to keep us warm. The service was warm and friendly, and pretty attentive. They checked on us multiple times throughout our meal. I got the pad se ew and the calamari and my partner got the pad Thai. The pad se ew was pretty basic, tasted good. The calamari was my favorite, I think - crispy with flavorful sauce. My partner's pad Thai tasted a bit off. It wasn't bad but just different from what we're used to tasting at other Thai restaurants. My friend's chicken wings were small pieces, but were pretty crispy and yummy. Since we were a "large" group, they automatically charged a 20% gratuity on our receipt, so make sure you check the receipt when asked for additional tip to the bill on their electronic screen. There is also a free parking lot near the restaurant.“

“No nonsense menu with solid options. Tasty meals. Great location on boardwalk... Tasty, well-executed meals. The casual bistro vibe is enhanced by its great location right on the Santa Monica boardwalk. An ideal spot for people-watching over a glass of wine. While not reinventing the wheel, Figaro delivers on classic French flavors in a lively beachfront setting. A pleasant option for a laid-back yet satisfying meal.“

“My husband and I love this little gelato shop so much! The owners pour so much love into their business and delicious rotating menu of flavors (and they are probably the ones you’ve met if you stopped by). As someone with celiac disease, I also can’t believe everything is homemade and gluten free (and their waffle cones are objectively delicious). Our nephews and niece are big fans as well, and they even had sprinkles for the kiddos.Dietary restrictions: Everything is gluten free, and lots of dairy free options as well.“

“The food is so great! Not too heavy that you are bogged down after eating and not too light you’ll be hungry right away. The staff give good idea on the food they sell just in case you’re not sure about which one to choose. The staff? Even better!!! I was there this morning and spilled my Macha drink on my white blouse. Staff was so helpful and accommodating, they helped me get the stain off my shirt. You can tell the staff love the food and helping people. Just a great place to go and enjoy!!! Highly recommend!!!“

“I really enjoyed Sycamore Kitchen. Be prepared to wait in line to order your food, be assigned a number, and struggle to secure a table. This place is super casual in their approach, which has its pros and cons. The French Toast (available only on weekends) was divine, and the eggs Benedict was one of the best I’ve ever had. Of course, as you’re waiting in line to order, a bakery display stares you down… and we couldn’t resist ordering the Lemon Custard Cake and Apple Bar…. Both of which were phenomenal. This place is a little pricey for being so casual, but it’s worth it.“
