“I moved to Sonora in July 2023 and quickly found Mandy's for breakfast. After making the rounds at a few places in Sonora. Jamestown and Twain Harte I settled on Mandy's as my go to. Here is why: the food is great and consistently so, the menu has variety and its vast, they serve dinner from Thursday through Sunday, the prices are reasonable enough that I can afford to go any day of the week for a good meal or two, but the best reason and the one that keeps me coming back is the whole group of people there. Clearly everyone enjoys and takes pride in Customer service. Mandy must be the cause. She quickly learns your name if you become a regular. Her service skills are above par as are those of EVERY person on staff. I feel like I'm eating with family at every meal. Today was my birthday and I was there for breakfast, get the pork belly Benedict. It's awesome. Like everything on the breakfast and lunch menu. Then I went back for dinner, try the red enchiladas, I got 2 chicken and 1 cheese. Added a glass of sangria. Yes the have a beer and wine license. Then I asked for what was on the dessert menu. When Morgan got to the fried plantains, I said stop I'll take those. But I asked for just a bit of ice cream. Mandy happened to be there and made a command decision that if I wasn't going to get much ice cream, I should have more plantains. Good call Mandy! Like I said on the way out it was more than I should have eaten. But I savored every bite! It was that good. Now a couple hours later I'm still full. There is a long list of locals and regulars who are quickly greeted by name when they walk in. I'm glad to be one of those. For a lot of reasons today was the best birthday of my life. Thank you Mandy and team for giving me a place to hang out part of the day. I simply love this classic diner that is just a couple miles from home and on the edge of Columbia State Historic Park. I'm glad I found a place where I could fit in.“

“This was our first time at this restaurant last Saturday. The food was very good and the service was excellent. All the waitresses very friendly. The portions work quite big looking around on the walls all the Italian and Sicilian pictures and things like that. I would definitely recommend this anybody going up to Sonora. be sure to get a box to go.“

They were so genuine and it touched our family's hearts. It's not everyday that we receive that type of service. They were so kind about separating all the tabs we had too. “We went to celebrate a birthday dinner, and there must have been close to or over fifteen of us. They had set us up in a nice very roomy spot. Which doesn't always happen when you have a large group. The service was amazing, NOT ONE of our entrées were confused or wrong. EVERYTHING was perfect, from the temperature, flavor, even to their presentation. Even the ambience was incredible. Exquisite dining experience. Looking forward to coming back.“

“I have loved the tea house since I was a teenager. And I'm a sucker for baked goods. Today's visit did not disappoint. New owners... and they are doing it right. “Simple but exactly what we were looking for. Obviously not a lot of Thai options in Sonora but this place takes care of the urge. Fast service, good prices and all the Thai standards. Excellent peanut butter sate, chicken curry, and noodles. Not fancy, just good.“

“Been coming here for ten years. We moved to Oklahoma a few years ago and we still have to stop here when we are in town visiting family. The owner is awesome and the food is great. Can’t ask for more. Btw get the 3 meat burrito if you like breakfast burritos. It’s amazing. Add chorizo to it if you like it :)“

I got a mocha and my kid got a blended caramel coffee, both of which were delicious. The lemon scone was one of the best I've ever had, the glaze was tart and tasted so strongly of fresh lemon, the scone itself was a perfect texture. The chocolate croissant was nice but a little too sweet for me, it was still very good though. Their menu was easy to read, the service was good and they made sure to ask if we had any questions. I couldn't stay inside for long but it was clean and organized, there were many places to sit. Tables and couches were available. There were board games to play, and a shop space where they had small items and branded coffee cups. I will definitely be coming back and trying more of their products in the future.“

“The mixed bruschetta starter was amazing, especially the pesto one. I could have eaten a whole plate of those things!!!!!. For main we had the filet which they kindly split for my hubby and I. SO good and probably one of the best steaks I've had. Mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. Meat tender and juicy and cooked as requested. Indulged in dessert....... The cannolis. OMG! Each member of our group ordered something different, and everything looked amazing and home made-especially the chicken pot pies, salads, variety of sandwiches and teas. We were a party of eleven and they were able to accommodate us sufficiently at a long table outdoors. I really appreciated the service and attentiveness. I know it is difficult to serve large parties, but they achieved this masterfully.“

“I'm a local who likes Chinese food and I come here pretty often. There are some better Chinese restaurants in the Central Valley, but this place is as good as many of them. I'll tell you that it's the best Chinese restaurant in the Mother Lode region. It's especially good for lunch. Prices are low, the dishes are more than satisfactory and they don't stuff you with lots of noodles or rice. You get a good meal for what you pay. I've never had a complaint about the service, either.“

The young lady at the counter was totally accommodating to my order: a sesame seed bagel, with just egg, no ham or cheese or anything else (I personally am not fond of butter/cream cheese/mayo etc... others may like such things, but I really don't). Anyway, I got my basic egg and sesame seed bagel, nicely toasted, and it was *excellent*. And the price was great too!
