“My boyfriend and I have gone twice now. I can highly recommend the paneer tacos, chicken masala nachos, soy protein burrito, and the naan chalupa with soy protein (bf is veg). The samosas also were great as was the chai horchata. We are obsessed.“

“Ricardo was very helpful in helping us out ordering food since it was our first time in culichi town Modesto . He informed us of all the specials they had for the day and rest of the week the food and drinks were amazing for sure will be coming back for more . Such a grate vibe even without the live music. Live music band could be a lil more hyped in playing songs but I understand they wait until someone pays for a songVegetarian options: Veggie roll was deliciousKid-friendliness: They had a kids menu“

“You Can't beat 4 tacos for $5. The sauce is spicy and delicious. The tacos are worth the drive! The only catch is they sell you everything on the side if you want extra condiments but you can't really complain for great tacos at a very low price! These ladies making your tacos know what they're doing!“

“Every time I head over to Viva Taqueria, I know I'm in for a good time. The place is always buzzing, and the moment you walk in, you're hit with a bunch of great choices. I'm a big fan of Mexican food, so I make it a point to try something different every visit. Haven't been let down yet! The rice and beans? Spot on. It might seem small, but getting those right says a lot about everything else they serve up.Price-wise, it's perfect for me. I usually end up spending around $10-20, which feels just about right for the quality and the amount of food you get. It's my first choice when I'm out and craving Mexican. They've got this salsa bar that's always fresh, and catching a soccer game on the TV just adds to the vibe. I enjoy soccer, so this is a big plus in my book. Also, I must say, the staff are great with requests. During the Super Bowl, they switched the channel for some guests, no hassle, for them and their family & friends who all wanted some Mexican food and enjoy the game. It's those little things, you know? But really, it all comes back to the food for me—outstanding. I've even told the staff how much I enjoy this place. Everyone's got their own tastes of course, which I appreciate, but for me, Viva Taqueria definitely in the top 5 Mexican spots on my list. Great food, fair prices, in a cool spot where you can chill and maybe catch a game. So, Viva Taqueria isn't just another restaurant to me; it's where I head to when I want a guaranteed good meal and a good time. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for solid Mexican cuisine in a friendly atmosphere.“

“The freaking best, on Friday, Saturday & Sunday they have a condiments cart outside with some really good salsas and condiments to go with your food. It's like being at a family party and you get to customize your tacos to your liking. I just found this place and love it, it's definitely going to be my go to. Plus they're open until 11 pm sometimes Midnight so for people who like late night eats this is the spot! Also the adds on the wall are helpful, it's cool they support local businesses by allowing them to post their add.“

“This small place has the best Mexican food ever. The refried beans were white beans, and really delicious. The chili verde was tender and had great flavor. I love how fresh everything is. We took some flan home to eat and had to call to tell them it was the best we've ever had. That was a first. Friendly, clean, nicely decorated. There are many good Mexican places in town, but this is my new favorite.“

“There are a ton of these food trucks/trailers around town so plenty of opinion's floating around.... My favorite was the one in Salida across from the Mexican market but it is no longer there. This one is my new favorite and by far the best one in the Modesto/Salida/Ripon area for my taste at the moment.“

“The truth is, the first time I went I really liked the pressed chicharron ones, the second time they were a disappointment, who knows what they were, they seemed like leftovers, they looked like anything but pressed chicharron, they had pieces of meat, pieces of potato, ?“

“A must try. I work across the street, and my coworkers and I eat from here often. Never disappoints! Food is full of flavor and not bland like some places, and the salsa they use is phenomenal. Their asada burritos are a must, and their service is quick for how busy they can get. Anyone saying their food is cold when receiving it is a liar. Only way food gets cold is if you take it to go and don't touch the food until arriving home. That goes for any takeout!“

“I came in with family as they wanted to try this place. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! I'm always skeptical of Mexican food. I ordered their super tacos plate, which is something I would recommend. I ordered the carnitas, Al pastor and chorizo. Personally, the carnitas was the best tasting taco. The family ordered chicharrón and they really enjoyed it. Other family members ordered asada tacos. They said that they liked it, but it wasn't something they would get again as the carnitas was better tasting. A plate of BBQ ribs was ordered as well. They enjoyed the plate, however, they also ordered a super taco on the side. After that taco, they said that they would recommend the super tacos over the BBQ ribs. Even though the meat was super tender. The parking lot is small, and so is the inside. When we arrived, there wasn't many people eating in, however, there were several orders to go. It seems that most people go for their carnitas and the chicharrones. Would definitely be going back for more super tacos!“

“Finally tried this place. Hard to want to try a place that people review bomb negatively for no reason. Wife and I shared an order of fajitas. I had a Modelo Chelada. Everything was great including the service. There could have been more meat than veggies though. Otherwise, it was a pretty good experience. We also had the fried ice cream! Delicious!! I'd give it 4 stars but giving it 5 because people are ridiculously critical.“

“Stop looking for a pupusa Place!!!! do yourself a favor and try this place out! Honestly, the customer service was above and beyond the call of duty, the ambience was perfect and they have lots of space where you can sit down and have a meal with your whole family very clean, I will definitely come back and recommend this place to my whole family. If I can bring at least 30 members of my family to this place I will call it a success. We got some pupusa's and some tacos and a torta. Everything was very tasty and delicious lots of food in the meal and meat, etc., they give you the right amount for what you pay. They even give you utensils, napkins, and extra curtido for the pupusa's. I don't think five stars gives this place it's justice!!! if yelp had 10 stars, I will give them every single one of them ! Keep up the good work you guys because you just gained a new customer as of today I appreciate your professionalism and your kindness as I was there getting dinner for my whole family, I bought 18 pupusa's, and boy were they delicious!!!!!!! Can't wait to be back SOOOOON !!!!“

“Rice & Beans had excellent flavor! The texture of the masa on the tamale was also good.. it wasn't dry. Took off a star for the green sauce- it was too bitter. Other than that everything was good. It was our first time here and we'll be back.“

“I'm on a quest to find the best street tacos in the Bay Area. So far, Los Tres Tacos in San Jose is the King, in my opinion. I came up on El Rey and must say, they were worth the 60 miles round trip drive. Had nice flavor. The Gent who ran the food truck was also a humble and accommodating guy. I always appreciate good service.“

“We love going to this restaurant for happy hour drinks and appetizers or to dinner with our kids. The food is delicious and the prices are super reasonable. The staff is so friendly and we love our bartender Franny who always takes the best care of us, knows our drinks and makes them perfect every time! We haven't tried a bad thing on the menu yet, the frozen margaritas are on point, and if you haven't had one of the staff come to your table to make the guac in front of you and to order with a side of flour tortilla chips, you're missin out!!“

“Good food bad service I order agua de pepino it was so sweet I felt like I was drinking corn syrup, I asked my waitress if I could have a different drink she told me no that I already had a sip and that she couldn’t put back that she was going to charge me for it and I said put back where don’t you guys throw it away? She didn’t say nothing but she was very rude she didn’t say sorry can I get you something else or nothing her answer was clear and rude they couldn’t put it back“

“The food was delicious and there is a wonderful variety of seafood dishes. The server was attentive but trying to hear her was difficult. My biggest complaint was the noise. I didn't mind the karaoke, there were some pretty good singers, but do they have to have the volume maxed out on the system? I mean there were only about a dozen people in the whole restaurant! It really affected being able to enjoy the meal. I probably won't be back unless I know they don't have the music going.“
“Fabulous, bare bones sit down restaurant. Extensive and comprehensive menu. Huge portion of excellent pozole. Birria tacos were wonderful. No alcohol, but excellent Mexican juices and sodas. Part of the Jean Talon market, which is well worth going to. Will definitely be back.“

“Second time here due to family requesting for me to make a stop to pick up food for them while passing through Modesto. This is a food truck. They have bench tables to sit and eat if you decide to eat there. Putting my order in was pretty quick but it took almost half an hour to get my food. They were pretty busy and had only two workers since the third worker must had got off after taken my order. It was a pretty chili and windy night when I stopped by. Ordered a few el pastor and carne asada tacos and el pastor super burritos. Didn't get any photos of the burritos since we took it to go and it was too cold outside. Foods are pretty flavorful and delicious. Only downside is that they don't give you any hot sauce and they charge for the pickled jalapeños.“

“We went on a Saturday morning and they had live music which was too loud for me, but ringing ears aside, the food was delicious. They have three stations to order from! Mexican food, sushi with Mexican fusion, and seafood. It all looks so good, I finally settled with a chile relleno burrito, others in the group had an asada burrito, campechana, shrimp tostada, menudo, and micheladas. We will definitely be going back.“

“Stopped by this taco truck on McHenry. Got two tacos and a sprite for $5. And then it ended up being one of the best tacos I’ve ever had! So good! And they go a little unique with juicy lemons instead of limes. I think the tortilla is cooked up in some sort of flavoring. And the presentation is excellent! Highly recommend!“

“Definitely more expensive than most taco trucks ($12 for a supreme asada burrito) but the asada was delicious and people that work there are very friendly. So far its only open during the week. The burrito was better than the guacamole burrto truck and also the kickn taco truck here in town ??“
“i would recommend these 10/10 the food is always on point they're always conscious about not messing up our orders due to allergies and they keep their salsa bar and everything else fresh and clean Both the younger and older gentlemen are polite they accept cash/cards“
“At this point of my life I'm very picky on the quality of the Mexican food I eat and what my family enjoys. I'm so glad we decided to try this place, it's absolutely delicious. We have tried various regular tacos, tacos de birria, gorditas, and burritos and they are equally good. Handmade tortillas and different salsa with delicious flavor. The owners have been nice to us every visit. I also like the covered patio seating with the AC units which makes its bearable to eat outside even in this heat.“

That's why I order them for the elevated dopamine experience. Hello!!??? I usually do not return to restaurants that serve my favorite meal this way... but the fabulous drinks and drink presentation made up for the no sizzle. Service was friendly and prompt. Yes it's in a sketch part of town but Modesto is Modesto and the food is why I miss living here. They have a large assortment of Lovely traditional tequilas and smoky yummy mezcals. If you Go here order the guava Rita, chips & dips(careful! spicy lol but amazing) This place is not for the faint of heart. But well worth a try. I'll be back. Come for the Margs“
