“First time here and we’re so surprised! Got here right at opening and there was a line but got seated right away. Service is so friendly and fast! We were overwhelmed by how quickly everything arrived. Food is delicious, but you need to cook it yourself.”
“Best sushi in LA! Everything melted in your mouth! The fish is fresh, the price is affordable, and the service is great! It looks like a hole in the wall - but wow :)) We eat there once a week and love it! Drove all the way from Studio City to have dinner there - 2 hours each way in traffic - so that's obviously what it says :)) Haha Just love it!”
“This is my first Hot Pot I visited. The food here is great, we get the half and half for the broth and the frozen meat is good enough after taking a boiling bath in the broth. We had noodles and friedrice which are must try. I liked the service here well mannered and also they will help you controll the heat. Ambience is so good and they will play the music all time which is calm to listen while eating.”
“Great Dim Sum spot for classic dim sum food and not too long on wait for a table.”
“Great rolls. Big selection.... fresh.”

“Food is delicious and portions are generous. The beer selection covers a nice range of tastes and the off menu desserts are amazing. The ambiance outdoors is relaxing and refreshing with plenty of seating. The service is always warm and inviting. I wish I could buy one of the Brew t-shirts worn by the servers.”
“Overall it's a pretty solid choiceThe skewers are good, the options are many.Only complaint would be the lamb skewers lack enough fat for flavor and parking can be a hassle. These are offset by the other dishes, and friendlness of the staff.”
“Good sushi. Fair prices. Clean environment. As a regular traveler it’s nice to find locations like this where you can sit down and enjoy good service and food.”
Restaurants with Delivery
“Everything that they serve is delicious. The tacos de Carnitas are very good and delicious”
“Super delicious pancake. Good service. *****”
“PP Pop offers wide variety of noodles, dumplings, and rice dishes. It is a great Chinese eatery where they offer something for everyone. It is located next to Hong Kong supermarket in Monterey Park. Parking is limited. Service is friendly, it can be slower because they are very busy. Ambiance is fast food, clean, and modern. We ordered bruised beef noodle soup half meat half tendon. I like the noodle, soup, and ingredients. We ordered House special steam pork bun, it is better than average XLB, bit dry to me. And Minced pork noodle with dark sauce. This one is a bit bland, meat is salty not the sauce. Overall, it's a good place for quick meal, not for hanging out.”
“This is by far one of our favorite restaurants around here. The owner is an absolute GEM! The food is incredible. We were new to Burmese food and they were wonderful about explaining everything and teaching us. We haven't had a bad meal yet. My husband's favorites are their Mont Hinn Ga and Garlic Vermicelli, I love their Shan Noodle and Garlic Noodle dishes. The Burmese tea is perfect. We tried their Fried Samusas last time and they were incredible as well. I have a sensitive digestive tract too and never have issues here, it's like comfort food. It's a small, homey type of establishment with amazing prices. This is a regular stop for us and we will continue to return. Highly recommend!”
“The Newark location has great atmosphere, very friendly people, and boba always taste great! The Dirty Boba is fire....LITERALLY!!!”
“We had a graduation celebration for a group of 25 on a Monday evening. Shakey's still has the best pizza, mojos and chicken. Evelio and the team were all attentive and great. Highly recommend for a family dinner and great time. Thank you Evelio and team!”
“This place is amazing! The owner was extremely friendly and the food was some of the best I’ve had when it comes to breakfast burritos/quesadillas. I’m from riverside but I will definitely be making the drive back!”

“This place is great with lots of food options and it's self serve so you can grab your own meats and veggies as you can choose whatever and how many you want. They offer alot of meats and veggies and well kept in fridges. Been going to this place and enjoy it, will return once again soon.”
“Taken a few friends here as they heard of this place being so good. I've been here before on a dumpling crawl. The pies here are filled with meat packed with flavor and juices. You'll have to vent the pie before biting into it or risk squirting your neighbor when the juices escape the pie.”
“This is my first Hot Pot I visited. The food here is great, we get the half and half for the broth and the frozen meat is good enough after taking a boiling bath in the broth. “we took the drive frm Simi valley and let me say we'll worth the drive. try the beef stew noodle. oooo man finger linking good.”
“Visited here 2 weeks ago.. the vibe is awesome. The location is tiny but a great use of space and great energy. Shout out to Cindy she is a rockstar! I think Monday nights with Mindy are the best kept secret at this place. Thanks for bringing joy and care into the world through painting (and Boba)... See you soon!”
“Great Dim Sum spot for classic dim sum food and not too long on wait for a table.”
“They have the best pizza and the environment feel like your at home.”
“Volcano Bowl is the business! Friendly service in a small restaurant.”
“The ingredients and flavoring were very good, but all the dishes were drenched in oil. Gave us a bad tummy ache for 2 days. Toilet is in the kitchen so you need to walk past the cooks when using it.”
Outdoor Dining
“There aren't that many good Taiwanese breakfast spots in LA/OC and this is one of the more well known ones in the SGV. The shop used to have seating indoors however since the pandemic, this is now just a order at the door and take it to go type of place so just be aware there is no seating here. Dan Bing/ Egg Omelette - This is soft and fluffy and one of my favorites here. 4/5 Green Onion Pancake with Egg - This has the potential to be good but because it is togo, unless you eat it right away, the crispy pancake gets soggy very quickly - so I rate this 2/5 Pork Baos - these are delicious and full of meaty filling. I bought some frozen also to steam at home and they were great. 4/5 Soy Milk - I had this cold and this is sweetened. Enjoyed this and tasted like the ones in Taiwan. 4/5”
“In-N-Out...after 75 years... continues to serve up their signature burgers and fries that are ALWAYS tasty...this coming from someone who's been a customer for over 40 years! My favorite meal is a double-meat hamburger, no onions, add mustard with fries and a diet coke with a squeeze of fresh lemon. The Monterey Park location always good...with friendly faces to go along with your favorite In-N-Out burger!”
“Great rolls. Big selection.... fresh.”
“Today we had a hair in one of our sandwiches and all they did was remake the sandwich. When we refused to continue to eat, we asked for our money back and they refused and said you think any other restaurants wouldn't have a hair in their food? wow! just wow, I don't know about you guys but if any other establishment would have this reaction to a serious problem I would want to know... Beware.”
“Absolutely! Our family loves their pizza! It's always a request when we have family festivities More importantly they offerVegan pizza as well and being a Vegan for almost 8 years and have eaten numerous pizzas myself Their Vegan Pizza is one of my favorites! We love love love their pizzas”
“We came here for a late night snack after being at the nearby arcade. We got the churro and ice cream with some chocolate syrup. Deeeelicious. We also got a sandwich i never had before. It was interesting. I liked it. They have a area you can take pictures, that was cool. Its a small shop on the corner of the plaza. The churro went perfect with the ice cream. Yom yom yom yom… the sound of a good shnack?. See more on my ig, jwardhooper22”
“The food and services are excellent. We eat here every time we visit!”
“The fried chicken here is pretty good, but it's not out of this world. I'm not a big fan of fried foods, but kids usually love fried chicken and the kids definitely ate this well. :)”
“The noodles they serve up are pretty generous, no denying that. But gotta say, feeling a bit let down by the skimpy meat portion. On a happier note though, the soup packs a real punch in the flavor department!”
“Every time I gofull of satisfactionThe whole family likes itIf you like duck meat, give it a tryI highly recommend you try itBetter than the duck I ate at Vegas HotelIt tastes better”
“My family has been coming here since the time they still only had like 5 items on the menu. They still taste the same, DELICIOUS! My go to for here is the Shrimp Spring Roll. Must be at this location only. I love it here because they put the crispy fried roll inside the spring roll itself. On top of the peanutty-hoisin dipping sauce, that's another layer of thoughtfulness. -- pork spring roll and shrimp spring roll have different kinds of dipping sauce. My family also loves the Bun Bo Hue here. They say it's the best at this restaurant and we come here specifically for this dish. The menu changes. There are some updates that I haven't been on track with. Sadly the banana dessert is no longer on the menu. I would love to try the rice dishes sometimes. @tableformin”
“The place so nice, great view. The food was good specially the streak and the salmon. Our server Ivan was great, very attentive towards our night. Noticed we were celebrating our anniversary and complimented us with a delicious dessert. Will definitely come again for date night. Ask for Ivan for good service. 10/10”
“Ordered take-out. The Bulgogi Bibimbap is delicious! Worth the price and will definitely order it again. A bit disappointed about the Rabokki. It's a bit bland but maybe it's better in-person rather than delivery.”
“My first time here and I absolutely loved the place. The atmosphere was very cozy. Our server went above and beyond and offered us amazing choices. He was super friendly. Made us feel very welcome. We ordered the Margherita Pizza and a salad. They were both delicious. We had some bread before hand with olive oil and that was spot on. Our server brought us some delicious spicy sauce, which was his recommendation and that was mouthwatering. I ordered the house Cabernet wine and it was tasty. Overall very satisfied with the service and food. I will definitely come back and would bring my hubby, I think he will enjoy it as well.”
“Manuel was great Tacos and quesadillas were on point”
“Endroit hyper typique ! Bonne musique, cocktails d’un excellent niveau et à un prix tout à fait honnête, tous les classiques sont dispo et le barman tient la corde niveau cordes vocales !! Excellente carte de dîner ! Nous n’avons pas testé le grill … seul regret de la soirée. Il faut qu’on y retourne, absolument”

“The ingredients and flavoring were very good, but all the dishes were drenched in oil. Gave us a bad tummy ache for 2 days. Toilet is in the kitchen so you need to walk past the cooks when using it.”
“Breakfast is a must here! It is always consistent and delicious. My go to order is the pork and preserved egg congee with noodles and hot milk tea. You can now order and pay online. Super convenient! The order was ready by the time I got there.”
“pineapple bun curry fish balls pork fried rice honey ribs Great food, prices, and service.”
“This place i ate some food but it kind of tasty like mcdonald's. The oil is too much for me but very yummy like shrimp. I am happy and fat. The service was super cool and they gave me free food. The ambiance was kinda not cool because I no like.”
“One of my all time favorite restaurants to go to it's a Chinese style restaurant with fairly fast service and decadent dishes. Personally my family loves to get the hot tea, seaweed fish, juicy soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings, mabo tofu, and stir fry seafood udon yum! If you go to the actual restaurant they have a shaved red bean dessert/drink available too”
“Authentic Cantonese dim sum with the ladies pushing the carts. It was great! I definitely don't get this on the Westside. Located on the second floor of the Atlantic Times Square shopping center. Easy parking garage underneath. We lucked out and got seated immediately and three ladies with carts came by. We had har gow and siu mai on the table in less than 30 seconds! Service was on point. I speak some Cantonese which may have helped speed things up. It's an authentic Chinese restaurant with nice decor in traditional red and gold. You can tell they do wedding banquets here. It was a little pricey at nearly $70 for two people, but we did eat lot. And everything is expensive these days. It definitely hit the spot for good dim sum!”
“They have really good handpulled noodle which I loved. I've enjoyed the shrimp stir-fry noodle is chewy and has a nice smoky flavor. Their potstickers are not bad as well. You have to try their beef wrap. It is really good better than PP pop right from across. they are also reasonably priced.”
“If you're looking for a casual skewers spot grilled with charcoal, King Charcoal is a good BBQ option! Their outdoor patio is more spacious, as there's only a few tables indoors. For a group of 4, we ordered lamb, lamb belly, cattle, chicken gizzard, pork belly, oysters with garlic, Taiwan sausages, potato slices, and cucumber salad. They came out fast and fresh. The lamb selections are all good! Their skewers are flavorful with tasty seasoning. The oysters are a must get. The gizzard was too dry. The pork belly was juicy but fatty. An authentic skewer place!”
“This place is tucked into a small plaza right next to the Courtyard Marriott hotel. We went here twice in three days. We were a little skeptical at first because of the review but the food is superb and is traditional spicy Hunan cuisine. If it matters to you - no MSG used in the dishes, you can tell. We had stir fried cauliflower, diced frog, pickled green beans with minced pork, stewed red chili tofu, all were tremendous. Portions are good and not stingy.”
“This place is still KING of the sliced means (I tried Miao Yun, VERY GOOD, one-stop-shop for all your hot pot meats) but this place still has a better quality beef slices. I will give credit where credit is due. This place has been cash only for years and years, Miao Yun opened up in this plaza as their competition and took credit cards, Deerfield Garden took notice and also started to accept credit cards. Their meat is priced reasonably similarly (just a little bit more) but I found that little extra in the price you are getting your value for sure. The meat definitely tastes fresher and the cuts aren't as fatty. They're a lot more consistent here in the beef slices. Miao Yun sometimes is very fatty to sometimes less fatty, every day is a little different. Neither Deerfield Garden or Miao Yun are bad choices. If you're looking to save a little money and not have to go to 99 Ranch to pick up the rest of your hot pot fixings, Miao Yun, they're perfect. They also have a wider selection of weight to choose from, so you're not stuck with just 1lb or 3lb of meat. You can easily get 2lbs if you want. They're very flexible with that, Deerfield Garden on the other hand isn't flexible with its weight. If you're looking for a high-quality hot pot experience with high-quality cut beef or meats or making a meat dish that requires sliced meats, go to Deerfield Garden- their meats always make my hot pot taste like it's from an expensive hot pot restaurant. Maio Yun meats taste more in line with 99 Ranch, with a more made-at-home flavor and quality to it.”
“Food is amazing. They have the veggie version of the favorites. Pork, chicken etc. atmosphere is family dining and sharing. Service is amazing. Really nice place and convenient across the street from courtyard hotel.”
“Came here on a late late night and the owner was sooo nice. I think most people come here for the hot pot, but we only came for the skewers for a midnight snack. The skewers in general - 8/10 I really enjoyed the seasoning and texture of the skewers and there was nothing wrong with the cooking of it either. I'm just not sure if it's worth the price you are paying for. Cucumber salad - 6/10 it was really just average. The subtle technique of crushing your cucumbers to release more flavor and the seasoning of the salad itself made it taste better than normal, hence 6 instead of 5. Eggplant - 6/10 kinda just a roasted eggplant with seasoning and garlic. I enjoyed eating it. The staff and owner is really nice and the food is decent. Therefore, 3 stars + 1 sounds fair to me.”
“Every time I gofull of satisfactionThe whole family likes itIf you like duck meat, give it a tryI highly recommend you try itBetter than the duck I ate at Vegas HotelIt tastes better”
“Sink your teeth into tender Australian lamb skewers, a savory delight that makes this eatery a top choice for late-night cravings. Whether you're out for a quick bite or a hearty snack, this place delivers on flavor and convenience, ensuring a memorable dining experience every time.”
“The place so nice, great view. The food was good specially the streak and the salmon. Our server Ivan was great, very attentive towards our night. Noticed we were celebrating our anniversary and complimented us with a delicious dessert. Will definitely come again for date night. Ask for Ivan for good service. 10/10”

“Wheelchair accessibility: My husband is in a schooter. No one help him to open doors. He is a disabled vet. They should have a button to open the door. The door are very heavy. I will complain to the person in charge of handicapped rules and regulations.”
“Best tofu soup in the San Gabriel valley. Everything here is very delicious from the sides, sauce, and main courses. I always end up getting the short rib dinner set with a bowl of spicy tofu soup.”
“We went here on Sat around 12:00 noon. The plaza is doing remodeling now. You only can take elevator to the restaurant on the 5th floor. You check in with a lady and she gives you a ticket with a number. You wait in the lobby till your number is called. The service is slow and you need to be aggressive to ask for food, and services. Overall experience is fun and food is good.”
“The ambiance is quite elegant. The children also love it, especially since they can make many dishes half spicy, which is particularly considerate for families like ours. Parents enjoy spicy food, but the kids cannot.”
Takeout Restaurants
“This is THE place to get popcorn chicken in the 626! I've been coming to P P Pop for awhile now and I have yet to have anything I didn't like. The popcorn chicken serving here is huge, and the chicken is really moist and flavorful. I get mild spice and it's pretty spicy imo! The beef noodle soup is also a favorite of mine. I love the chewiness of the noodles and the beef chunks always fall apart. The drinks are served in huuuge cups so that's also very worth the price. Service is always great and they're very comfortable speaking English.”
“Visited for the first time. Great service, large space, free wifi. Fun decor and vibes. Got the lychee frosty and it was good ! Not too sweet and complimented the fries. Got a large fry (half bbq and half sour cream) . Great place to get your potato/fry fix and cool part is that they offer variations of fries (waffle/curly/tots/etc). Great place, would come again the next time I'm in the area!”
“mhmmmmm. this place is on my must visit list any time I hit up SoCal. everything always taste good no matter what i order. many locals are always there too so that must be a good sign. and the Iced Hong Kong milk tea is one of the best. perfect balance between milkiness and tea.”
“I've been coming here for a long time and let me say - one of my FAVORITE go-to's in the area. The furikake ahi I crave at least once a month! I haven't ordered a bad item from here, and they always come for decent prices and a small, family-run vibe. There was ONE time where my food was late, and they gave me some desserts to apologize. I cannot recommend this place enough!”
“Good sushi. Fair prices. Clean environment. As a regular traveler it’s nice to find locations like this where you can sit down and enjoy good service and food.”
“Great food priced right! One of our favorites places to eat at’”
“MOMO BAKERY is part of a large center with multiple good eateries. The center has a large free parking lot with plenty of available spots. The set up is like a regular Asian bakery - grab a tray and use the tongs to pick your pastry from the display case, walk up to the cashier and pay for your stuff. They have some not-so-common baked goods like moon cakes in a wide variety of flavors. They also have macaron ice cream sandwiches and SESAME ICE CREAM.”
“They have the best pizza and the environment feel like your at home.”
“The 24-hr boiled Tonkotsu broth is very thick and filling, rich in protein and collagen. The braised egg is wine-flavored. The ramen is al dente chewy. The seating area is simple and spacious. Plenty of parking.”
“Manuel was great Tacos and quesadillas were on point”
“Sink your teeth into tender Australian lamb skewers, a savory delight that makes this eatery a top choice for late-night cravings. Whether you're out for a quick bite or a hearty snack, this place delivers on flavor and convenience, ensuring a memorable dining experience every time.”
“popcorn chicken is tasty and the shaved ice is delicious. will come back”
“Great customer service and terrific food. Love the breakfast burritos.”
“This is one of my favorite restaurants! My son and I love the food and all the delicious desserts! We visit this amazing restaurant every weekend especially on Sundays for brunch.”
“This is the most authentic bun I ever had in the US during the past 10 years. The flavor so northern taste that I feel back to Tianjin. Each order comes with 8 bun. Ordered delivery from hungry panda, and it took about 1 hour to deliver because all the meat bun is freshly made. When I got my food, it's still hot and fresh. Salted tofu soup is also delicious as it always be. The food portion here is huge. What I ordered is good enough for two people. Total spent $27. Great value and super good food. Worth to give it try.”
“With so many Chinese restaurants in Monterey Park, it is hard to find one that has that right balance of food quality and taste, service, Cantonese cuisine style, ambiance and convenience as well as price. We had gone for many years to the Empress Harbor restaurant but its closure more than a few years ago had left a void in restaurant choices for our family. But Seafood Palace may have filled that void. We had a very nice meal there last week with good variety and taste. We need to go back to try more dishes, including some of their signature dishes. Posting a current menu as well.”
“this was my first time here after seeing so many adverts of this place in the hotel elevator. me and my boyfriend had ordered the onion rings, chicken melt and the short rib quesadilla. all of the dishes we chose were so good! their happy hour sounds like a great deal which is from 4-6pm. I wish we made it that night. definitely check this place out!”
“Authentic Cantonese dim sum with the ladies pushing the carts. It was great! I definitely don't get this on the Westside. Located on the second floor of the Atlantic Times Square shopping center. Drive-Thru Restaurants
“We visited yesterday and had a wonderful time; our children enjoyed it so much. All the staff were super nice to us, food and drinks are yummy and fresh. We will visit again soon.”
“Qué son muy amables y la comida Está muy rica y no está muy caro”
“First time and we had a late night meal at 11pm. We got the sandwich combo and kids combo and I wasn't expecting much. When I took my first bite of the sandwich, I was BLOWN away! I loved the crunchiness and juiciness of the chicken tenders. It's definitely addicting if you are a lover of chicken, especially the crunchy coated kind. Fries were fine. Lemonade is watery . But the chicken is definitely 10/10 for a fast food place.”
“Freshly renovated as of 04-27-2024! Check it out. I knocked off a star because they didn't get my order right. As always, check your order before leaving the store. I've always enjoyed Yoshinoya and this particular store has always been pretty consistent with their tasty dishes.”
“If you're looking for a casual skewers spot grilled with charcoal, King Charcoal is a good BBQ option! Their outdoor patio is more spacious, as there's only a few tables indoors. An authentic skewer place!”
“The tempura soba, beef udon, and spicy tuna roll were well prepared and fresh, the taste of each dish is well-balanced. While the restaurant was empty tonight, the service provided by our waiter, Kevin, was not. Kevin has been attentive and consistently courteous, which made our dining experience greater. I am truly grateful for his patience and excellent service.”
Cheap Eats
“I came on a Friday 20 minutes before closing. There was no line. They weren't out of anything. They still had products on the shelf. I got their Portuguese tart and their egg tart. I came in because it was on Instagram that there were lines out the door after thru were featured on Netflix. I mean, the egg tarts were good. I was turned off by the dark, burnt crusts. But biting into the tarts, you can't taste it. The egg filling was cooked just right. The flaky layers were very good. Was it the best I've ever had? No. It's comparable to most dim sum places I've been to. So, I happen to driving in the area but would I drive an hour to come here specially for these tarts, no. Service was fine. It wasn't great. The place is very small. You have to grab and go. There's no hanging around here.”
“Rarely is there a place in LA specializing in Shanghainese baked goods. I used to come here over ten years ago and loved the "Xiekehuang" or "hakowang" in Shanghai dialect. Reminded me of all the great stuff my Shanghainese dad used buy me in places like Shanghai and Taipei in the 80s and 90s. Life got in the way and just haven't been able to make it back to Dean Sin World since last week and I was so excited to take my 90-year old mom there for lunch. Unfortunately it's now only a take-out.It was always a tiny place with a few tables but COVID must have forced them to change. They must have discovered that take-out is a more lucrative business so is now sticking with it. But does the lady need to be so rude and arrogant? We still bought stuff to go but it was like she didn't want us to interrupt whatever soap opera she was watching.I noticed that, like many SGV Chinese restaurants and dim sum places, things are getting bigger not for the better. What used to be delicate pastries are now bigger and crude. Is it an American Chinese phenomenon? Bet you won't see it in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore or.... China.Five stars so it sticks around, improve and serve our culture right.”
“You go for the food! Very reasonable prices. Every dish we ordered was tasty. I'm told a husband and wife own and operate the kitchen and dining room. The server/wife speaks Mandarin and no English, so you'll have to communicate by pointing!”
“Kim Kee Noodle is a hidden gem for noodle lovers! Their menu offers a variety of delicious noodle dishes that are both flavorful and satisfying. The prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for a tasty and affordable meal. The service is usually quick and friendly, adding to the overall dining experience. Whether you're craving classic ramen or something more adventurous like dan dan noodles, Kim Kee Noodle delivers delicious flavors in every bite. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for some comforting and tasty noodles!”
“I just got a bowl at the new spot by USC. Juicy chicken, nice fluffy rice, The chipotle sauces are tasty and service was fast. I'll get another bowl for sure.”
“GYAT this was so damn good. We called in the order at 3pm, but they said they were too busy to take on anymore orders. We left our number and they called us back at around 4pm. We placed our order and asked us what time we would like the food ready. We said 530 and it was ready for us when we pulled up. Crane and Chicken teriyaki bento was so damn good. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Potato croquet was fried perfectly, california roll and tempura roll was on point. Like seriously the calfornia roll was so damn good. The sausage/salad/egg was delicious as well. Haven't had a good bento box since Japan, and this really hit the mark. The salmon/yellowtail sashimi bowl was also delicious. It just melted in our mouths. Everything was amazing, my only regret was we didn't order more. I live 5 min away from this place and wish I knew about this place earlier. Def will be hitting up this spot again Also check out their IG for the full menu. @sushiongarfield”
“Oh my gosh, I found the food here incredible. Only place in LA that serves the 菠菜面 version of the classic 西安 油泼面. Very fragrant and well-spiced sauces. Excellent 口感/QQ of the 凉皮 and 油泼. The cumin lamb 肉夹馍 had great texture and was very comforting to eat. This place reminded me of great noodle stand experiences I've had in Shaanxi. By a narrow margin (because LA now has a good selection of 油泼面 places), my favorite Shaanxi spot in the Southland presently.”
“Nice little place that stays open late. Our group just finished dinner at Mandarin Deli next door and stopped by. We all ended up with drinks from its Stormy series. Refreshing and no caffeine.”
“A quick, affordable, and no frills dumpling spot in the SGV - how much better can it get? A humble storefront tucked in a Monterey Park plaza, QDBF is a hidden gem. We arrived at around 3pm on a Sunday. After finding free parking in the back lot, we were the only patrons in the ~5 table restaurant. Upon receiving a dim-sum style write-in-your-quantity menu, we ordered pork, leek, and shrimp pan fried dumplings; pork and cabbage bread dumplings; and beef noodle soup. All three were fantastic. Both dumpling dishes came with 12 pieces, had wonderfully crispy "skirts," and each ran about $14. They also paired well with QDBF's signature, very garlicky garlic sauce (think Mediterranean garlic toum but chunkier). The soup came with plenty of thin noodles and a few pieces of tender beef. All in all, our total was $46. We'll be back soon!”
“I can’t praise this place enough! The food was beyond incredible with a generous assortment of meats that left me absolutely satisfied. The pricing was unbelievably fair, and the service was impeccable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit - consider me a loyal customer!”
“Un lugar muy limpio. Y la comida muy rica. Su personal muy amable .Es un restauran familiar.”
“Crossing the bridge noodles came from a legendary story in China. Regardless of the story I love love love these noodles. Piping hot soup in a stone pot and you add all the topping in yourself. This spot never fails to satisfy my noodle cravings.”
“The decor is kind of dated, but don't let that fool you. The sashimi was very fresh and tasty, and grilled salmon was perfectly cooked. No wonder this restaurant has been here for decades. Highly recommended!”
