“Small Mexican ice cream shop in a bit of a shady area. They have what seems to be the typical Mexican ice cream shop items. The only standard ice cream shop item they have other than plain ice cream is a banana split, they aren't actually equipped to make sundaes. The ice cream itself was actually very good. Someone walking out had a very large fruit thing in a half of a pineapple.“

“Could not say enough about how much we loved Babe's! My family has some dietary sensitivities but we love our sweet stuff and this place really hit the spot. We were not intending to actually eat a whole breakfast here but fate had another plan. Wound up trying almost all of the donuts they had on display. Responsible? Nope. But delicious? Heck yeah. Salt & Straw is located in the redevelopment area of Sac. It is located at the old Ice House. Yes, ice house, where they use to make blocks of ice for early refrigerators.Parking is great. There is frontal parking as well as street parking. The neighborhood is safe and there are plenty of people walking around. Tables out front to enjoy your dessert.Now for the ice cream. My kids had a Lavemder Honey ice cream scoop and my son has the snickers ice cream. Both were very good. Staff here are very friendly and best of all, offers samples . “Went here for a sweet treat after eating around the area. Got the black sesame swirl and the hokkaido cream in a cone. I definitely liked the hokkaido cream more than the black sesame! It was super rich/creamy and it wasn't too sweet which was perfect! The cookie cone it came in was unique and had a nice bite to it. The black sesame was good but it was mixed with charcoal and ended up lacking in sesame flavor. The charcoal wasn't for me personally, but definitely try it for yourself.“

“This is a burger joint and in that context it's a great restaurant. First of all their prices and portions are better than anyone around . They have excellent fries and chicken burgers and the milkshakes are better than anywhere around. We were really pleasantly surprised. Also the customer service is great- it's not your usual burger spot in that regard- the guys working there are really sweet/ hard working!“

He didn't charge us anything for it and turned down our gift, which was our power. He stated that it is his responsibility to look after us as his clients. “Fantastic! I love the staff I love everything that I've had here. They turned me into a coconut convert. I used to hate them but the way they prepare for here is delightful. We used to live two blocks away and I was so sad when we moved because I wasn't within walking distance to this place anymore, I now make an additional 30 minute drive just to buy from here. Well worth it, they also hand make all of their ice creams in house.“

“First time trying this place. I hear it's popular. There were long lines even late at night. I love ice cream, thought it was good ice cream the ones I tried, after having tried a couple samplers. They were very liberal with their samples and the girl helping us was nice. I didn't care for the exotic or crazy seasonal flavors. I found it odd there was a huge line and two people attending everyone and about 4+ workers in the back walking around not helping the customers. The lighting was very low, too low for my vibe.I like that it was open late. No places to sit inside and eat.“

They have daily rotating flavors, so every visit will be different. You can check out their instagram to find out what they're currently serving. I tasted the more "unique" flavors, like cornbread and salted egg yolk potato chip. They tasted fine, but the flavor profiles didn't stand out too much for me. “My boyfriend and I got sandwiches from Melty right next door and sat at one of the outside tables with umbrellas, not realizing they were actually tables for Menchie's. An older man (the owner maybe?) came out and said we were sitting at a Menchie table, so of course he was now forced to give us some free samples ❤️ this was about 30 mins before they opened as well and he went to another group too at a Menchie table, and even gave a couple sitting at an outdoor Melty table free samples too. We tried the sugar-free pineapple and it was surprisingly firm and tasty!Of course after we finished our sandwiches, we had to get some froyo. Their froyo selection is on the smaller side, but the flavors are unique and the toppings are plentiful, definitely the best selection I've seen for those. The box included 2 each of the following flavors: chocolate brownie, sugar cookie with Cadbury Mini Eggs, carrot cake, cherry pie pretzel, chocolate chip & lemon crinkle. Nice, large cookies so we cut them up so everone could sample. The chocolate chips were great and still warm on arrival - a warm chocolate chip cookie is always the BEST chocolate chip cookie. Nice sized chips. The chocolate brownie was my favorite: soft and the perfect amount of chocolately flavor without being overly sweet. Not a huge sugar cookie fan but these are good. Hard to cut but right ratio of sugar cookie to frosting. My husband would be in heaven with these. The carrot cake was super moist and everything I want in a carrot cake. Good ratio of cake to frosting with just a sprinkle of nuts. You can taste the carrot shavings and raisins without them overpowering.“

“Nice clean and cozy spot. Service not there didn't greet , didn't explain things and also notice while there they didn't greet anyone or really help with service. I ordered the orange Popsicle, when I asked how to pronounce it he just translated what it was. I'm assuming one isn't supposed to chew the Popsicle because there were hard seeds in it that could have broke me teeth. If you know what you want and don't need help this is the place for you but don't expect help if it's your first time. At the end one person said " welcome in " the other four did not.“

“The food is just great and their proportions are good!I’ve been coming back here for food & I usually go with their chicken & lamb over salad with yogurt. A great combo, must try, must have!The lamb is prepped good, no smell and the chicken is tender! I go with the spicy sauce, but they also offer mild. “Want to be transported back in time? You absolutely need to stop at Vic's ice cream shop in East Sacramento. There is a small adjacent parking lot and plenty of street parking around. Expect somewhat long lines on warm weekends. You can also grab a seat at the counter or a booth. There is limited seating. They have a small menu of hot food items, but what they're known for are their desserts and ice cream! I got a small sunday of strawberry cheesecake ice cream with hot caramel and fresh pineapple with a cherry and whipped cream. Delicious! Their top Seller is the chocolate mint ice cream which smells heavenly of mint. All their ice cream is made fresh in house. They also have a secret menu. Ask for the suicide drink next time. This is a great nostalgic local shop that's been around since 1947.“

“This is such a guilty pleasure for us We love their cookies! They are big (one cookie is 4 servings) and soft, but if you like crunchier cookies they may not be for you. I usually do an order thru the app and they will bring it out to your car, so much easier with kiddos in car seats in the back! The flavors change weekly, so there's always something different to try. I docked off a star because they aren't always consistent, sometimes the cookies are better than others, and there are some weeks where the flavors aren't my favorite.“

“I just recently visited Del Valle Antojitos y Neveria (located on the side of Del Valle Supermarket), and ordered a custom banana split. I can't believe this place only has one Yelp review so far! Their concha ice cream sandwiches are all over Instagram. I was going to order a concha ice cream sandwich, but they had already sold out of their conchas (which they bake fresh in store each morning) for the day. The shop was so cute, and highly Instagrammable. The walls are painted pink, and decorated with die-cut wooden posters of Mexican sweets. The staff was super patient, friendly, and helpful. I asked if I could change out the flavors and toppings in the banana split, and they said 'Of course!' For my ice cream flavors, I asked for Pistachio, Ferrero, and Strawberries with queso. For toppings, I asked for Fruity Pebbles and Sour Gummy Worms, but she also added the standard coconut and granola, which came out delicious. There was also whipped cream, chocolate sauce, cherries, sprinkles, and of course, the banana. (I also saw a Gansito split option on Instagram.) Their ice cream is made in house, and it shows in the flavor. My favorite ice cream was the Strawberries with queso, and then the Nutella. Although I liked the Pistachio flavor, I thought that it was way too heavy on the Pistachio extract. I was thinking that it probably needs an alcohol content warning (as the extract contains about 35% alcohol). Overall, this was probably the best banana split I've ever had in my life. This shop is so cute, and they offer all kinds of Mexican snacks and desserts, like mangonadas, fresas con crema, elote, Doritos locos, etc. All of their goodies are made "extra," as in lovingly, over the top, and cute enough to show off on Instagram. In addition to the regular concha ice cream sandwiches, which come with two scoops of ice cream, they also have a mega concha, which comes with five scoops, and is meant to serve at least two people. In addition to the regular mangonada, they also offer a 'Del Valle' version with house made chamoy, chamoygetti, a tamarind cuchara and straw, and other Mexican candies (this is what I want to try next). This shop reminds me of the shops I go to when I visit my family in Southern California. This is the first time I've found anything as good in NorCal! I'm so glad I found this place. I'll definitely be back!“

“Excellent first try of Privé! Space is small inside (a few tables) but clean and bright. They have the little sample cups so you can try before you buy. They have a humongous selection of toppings in 3 different areas along with hot fudge and other sauces. We tried the non-fat chocolate-vanilla mix and the NY cheesecake; both were pretty darn good and didn't taste like fake flavors. We got small servings as we had just eaten lunch but they were very reasonable at $3.60 and $4.35 with a few light toppings. It is self serve and the cashier was friendly. They have a purchase 10 get 1 free card. Will definitely return!“
