“We live right around the corner and this was our first time stopping in. The service is excellent and the food was really good. The gentleman helping us at the register liked my son's Mario sweater and gave him $1 for the toy machines. I thought that was really kind. We'll definitely be back!”

“Every time I visit the Sacramento area, I make sure to get out to North Highlands for some awesome Cuban food at Sol Cubano. It is a small, family owned business with great service and amazing food. My favorite dish is the oxtail stew. It is so deliciously tender and flavorful. A few of the others I also really enjoy are the marinated pork, the Cuban rice, and the empanadas.”

“The best shawarma in Sacramento!!! highly recommend!!!! Despite the fact that there is always a line, I serve quickly and are given a drink as a gift. but you can do without it as the shawarma is very juicy!”

“This is my second time eating here. The first time, I had the lunch buffet. It was very good. Unfortunately, they don't have the buffet anymore, so we ordered off the menu. Butter chicken (which they call Chicken Maharaja), mango chicken, baingan barta, garlic naan, and rice. Everything was delicious! (Yes -- even the rice was special.) And good service.”

“Honestly the best fish n chips I've had outside of the UK. I'm a huge fish n chips fan and was skeptical but now I'm a believer. The owner is the sweetest little British lady and she cooked it herself and said she's "very particular about the way she cooks her fish n chips" when I took the cashier "I'm very particular about my fish n chips. Highly recommended!”

“Great local brewery with many options on tap that are clean and delicious. The owner is the brewer AND bartender...so, talk him up and enjoy the brews. This is a great hangout spot.”

My favorite are lunch specials Mongolian Beef with fried rice, lemon shrimp with fried rice, chicken wing with chow mein, beef broccoli with fried rice and their hot & sour soup!”

“I tried this place for the first time recently, and on the recommendation of a friend. The tacos are awesome and the salsa bar was very good. When I was there the music was loud inside, but I don't think that's normal, I think they were just enjoying it. We sat outside, which was pleasant and quieter.”

“In all fairness, I am highly biased about this place. My dad used to take my little brother & me here, especially after a base open house. Then when I was a cadet there, we used to sometimes walk off base and go there for lunch. McClellan didn’t have and exchange mall, back then. The chili cheese dogs probably aren’t as good as they were then, but it makes me happy to go there, once in a while.”

“I had an horchata after getting my nails done in the same plaza. They had a good variety of desserts and treats to choose from. The service was really quick and my drink was really refreshing and flavorful. I didn't stay as I was on my way home, but I did see others sitting and enjoying themselves. I will definitely return for another treat!”

“Service was okay. Pretty pricey for fresh spring rolls. $11.95?! I admit they were the only thing good, along with my thai iced coffee. The thai boat broth was good, however, they must have used pad thai noodles or something because it's not the regular pho noodles. The meat in it was chewy and hard. Husband did not finish his bowl. We paid and left. Not sure we'll be going back.”

Have had and love so far: wonton soup; egg flower soup; hot and sour soup; green bean chicken; appetizer assortment (spring rolls; crispy wonton; cream cheese wonton; foil wrapped chicken; fried prawns). Lady at the counter is sweet. The building and location itself is awful, but the service and food are great value and great taste.”

“Great little hidden gem in north highlands. We go about once a month and our favorites include the fried crispy pork, green curry and the beef laab . Absolutely delicious food that tastes homemade.”

“Food in the Hood - WestPark Wednesday [Roseville]First time seeing Dubbs Lunchboxx food truck here in Roseville. It looks like they have a restaurant in North Highlands but they also operate a food truck. I wasn't expecting this food truck today but I guess the original scheduled food truck had other plans. Anyway, the menu was classic American food -- burgers, hotdogs, fries. If you love Mushroom Swiss burgers I suggest Dubb's 7-oz patty (charred just right), seasoned sautéed mushrooms and slice of Swiss cheese. Good stuff!! Just the burger alone completely filled me up.
