The bread we were given to accompany was unexpectedly traditional French, with a slight sourdough note -- tasted freshly baked. Do not miss the light & airy tiramisu for dessert!“

“Solid and quick place to eat at. Sandwiches are ok; missing that "deli" taste that separates them from homemade sandwiches. Honestly you could make something completely indistinguishable at home for a fraction of the cost. But overall they were good and I'd come back if I was in a pinch for time.“

“Ate lunch much next door and decided to drop in for a quick espresso - well it's a restaurant, and they had just closed. Oops! He curtly said we could get some coffees and drink outside as they were cleaning the inside and people were still hanging out outside. Stoked he was willing to make a few espressos and a latte to go. The espresso was sized like a doppio, and the flavor was good, but thinner and more volume than I wanted, not as strong tasting as I would like, but he didn't overdraw it. This is just their style. Grateful he let us get coffee, but since we had real cups for the espresso, we 5 stood around a table for 2 outside (the only open table) finishing our piping hot espressos - so it took a few minutes, and we were sort of clouding a party of two at the next table - Sorry! So sorry! Well happy to finally try the espresso at this place. Check hours before you come, totally reasonable that they would close at 2pm. My bad!“

“I had the linguine with clams, which was delicious! My husband had the special branzino which was also excellent. We shared the Rosa Di Mela (hot apple tart with vanilla gelato), which disappeared in an instant! We had a lovely server, who was so helpful and knowledgeable. All of that was wonderful and we'll certainly be coming back for the food & service. The only negative, is that sitting outside, you are right on the sidewalk by a road. If they could perhaps put up a bit of a screen or trellis, or maybe just some nice pots of flowers & plants, it would make the entire experience tremendous!“

“This is a real deal m, high-end Italian home-cooking spot. This is coming for a person whose family had lasagna and ziti on Thanksgiving, in addition to the traditional fare. So is the type of place where about half the people who entered brought their own bottle of wine with them…a pro move.This was one of the most delightful dining out experiences I have had in quite some time. The service, the ambience, not to mention the perfect preparation of each course!I left feeling high on cloud 9 & wine and 100% satisfied. My wife and I rolled the dice on a new place and hit big time! We will drive from San Francisco to San Mateo for this pleasure again soon!“

The staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations. The order took about 20 minutes and we had a drink outside while waiting. I HIGHLY recommend the shrimp and grits. “We were craving a carbonara but we tried plenty of other items on the menu as well. We must have been hungry because we ordered a garlic shrimp and a bruschetta for appetizers. Then a risoto, bolognese, tortellini and a medium pizza Pompeii. For dessert we shared a limoncello tartufo. Service was great. The style was more of an old school Italian, nice sauces, perfectly cooked pastas. The pizza bread was thick kind and the toppings tasty. Our favorites would be the tortellini and bolognese but the rest were equally nice. The dessert was divine and I am usually not a fan of lemon. Bread is served with dinner with butter and a nice dipping sauce.“

“My favorite place in Foster City by far! Its a quick walk from my office and a nice place as most of the seats are outside. The salmon risotto comes with a salad and a piece of whole bread. To be honest, the salad is a bit generic but with the price it comes with, I cannot complain. Now comes the risotto. This risotto is out of this world. For $14, you have a big piece of seasoned salmon that has a perfect salt taste that reminds me of a tropical place. The risotto has a mushroomy taste that reminds me of a forest. Overall, I come back here every business trip. I will continue to come here for many years“

“Mr.pizza Man is by far one of the best pizza places on the peninsula. There are so many different pizzas places on the peninsula. I sometimes try other pizza places but always come back to Mr.pizza man! They always use quality ingredients their customer service is great and their pizza just is delicious. The Mozzarella cheese they use is top notch plus I love their crust. Not to thick bit not to thin..perfection!!“

Until, we talked, I stopped ordering from Terun on principle. I was a frequent client. Takeout customers must be honored for requests that are gladly honored when in the dining room. Takeout customers should be thanked for not causing dirty tablecloths and dishes -- and LOYALTY. Jessica reinstated that loyalty. I truly hope that the owners appreciate her. The crust was nice and crispy, and the toppings were yummy. And let me tell you, the Bucatini Shrimp & Pesto pasta was on point! The flavors were really good together.The vibe there was pretty chill.
