“Fun, casual place for meeting a group. The culinary approach is best described as comfort food, with something for every taste. I chose Lazy Dog to for a family get-together because it's close to our Foster City relatives, has easy parking, and a nice outdoor area that is dog-friendly. We all found something we liked in the menu. My husband really liked the Cuban sandwich, my older daughter loved the Kraft macaroni and cheese (nothing special, obviously, but exactly what kids tend to want), while my other daughter wanted Asian noodles, so we shared the yaki soba (which was delicious). Most importantly, my somewhat picky 92 year old grandmother, who medically needs to make sure she eats enough (but can't always bring herself to), ate her entire portion of teriyaki noodles. The lunch portion was perfect for her--she can't eat too much in one sitting. What I liked most about Lazy Dog was the service. Anthony was really great. Some of the dishes we initially tried ordering were unavailable, so he brought free dessert--sundaes for both my daughters. And they were extra fun: bowls of ice cream with little dishes of chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, and sprinkles so the girls could make the sundaes themselves. The other staff were also attentive. When the sun got bright, they brought an umbrella, unprompted, to shade my grandmother. There's a deal right now for one small plate for $5, available all day--a bargain.“

“Historically, Godfather's has been one of the best upscale burger joints in town. I got the pepperoni burger with fries, my buddy got the godfather burger with onion rings. We finished off with Chocolate Brownie Decadence, service and food were awesome, glad to see things are going well. Place was clean and everything tidy, Street parking not bad. “This was a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere was stylish: marble topped tables and gold chairs, with subdued lighting. The food was exquisite. I started with the roasted cauliflower, made with dates, mint, and harissa tahini sauce. I ordered it because it sounded exotic, and. . . I thought I’d died and gone to heaven! I will order this again! And I followed that with the Caprese pizza (mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and basil). It was, in a word, delicious! The crust was marvelous: soft and slightly chewy. I shouldn’t be surprised. The Turks have the best bread. I will definitely be back, but also want to try the sister restaurant, Mykonos.“

“The outdoor patio was perfect for our Sunday brunch and our 18th Anniversary. We’ve celebrated many occasions at All Spice and have always had a stellar experience with the staff and the food. Our table felt intimate — we were sharing a large space with four other tables, appropriately distanced. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Again, all Covid-19 compliant. The food, oh the food! The Dutch baby was perfectly cooked and the fruit fillings were gorgeous. The chicken sandwich was out of this world. The Mimosa and hard apple cider beverages were on point. We always love our meals at All Spice and this time was no exception. It’s a total gem!“

“I came across this place while I was door dashing. The menu was unique and the sandwiches sounded good. I got the Tom & Jerry on a Dutch Crunch roll. It came exactly how I ordered it and tasted amazing. There is plenty of sauce on it which I love. The bread was nice and soft too! I wish there was one closer to my house. I'd probably eat here more often. Definitely gonna order again.“

“We had an absolutely lovely experience here! Came for my boyfriend’s birthday, everyone was friendly and attentive. Fantastic high end ambience. The food was almost too beautiful to eat and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. One of our guests said it was the best spaghetti he had ever had! The mushroom risotto was perfection. I had the Chilean sea bass and WOW! The salmon was also amazing. The other two guests had roasted chicken and hangar steak… I didn’t get to try them but they looked amazing and everyone cleaned their plate even though we were full lol! We will absolutely be back. “It's really funny that my wife and I just tonight had our first meal at Number5Kitchen. We live four blocks away, have admired the concept and the menu since it opened, have had pizza there (next-level-awesome) several times, but have never--until tonight--gotten it together to have dinner there. We plan to be back...frequently. The experience was every bit as enjoyable as we have long expected. Because we went early on a Thursday night we had a chance to have really interesting conversation with Henry, the owner / chef. I'm not certain about his detailed background, but he CLEARLY is an accomplished chef, and he seems to know everything about the restaurant / foodie scene from the Peninsula to San Francisco, and for all I know, everywhere else. We were in the mood for something "light" and tasty, and the meal we had fit this perfectly. We started by splitting the "seasonal salad". The greens were fresh and perfect, it had fresh Albion strawberries, balanced by pickled green strawberries and had just the perfect amount of a very subtle dressing. My wife had the scallops. I tried just a taste and, yep, I thought it was the most perfectly-prepared scallop I've ever tasted. I had steak au poivre, and it was amazing. I don't know / remember what cut of beef it was, but it was perfectly cooked, cut into single bite-sized slices, served with a subtle au poivre sauce and accompanied by a couple of delicious fingerling potatoes and some of the best french fries I've ever had. And the french fry comment has to be compared with "frites" we just had on our recent vacation in Belgium (where they are justifiably famous). Henry's fries are better than we had in Brussels, Bruges and Antwerp! And, you know, the bill--with a couple of glasses of nice wine, was VERY reasonable. Thanks Henry! We will be back early and often!“

“Best takeaway option for vegan gluten free (celiac friendly) food that I've found. Have gone back several times and the food is consistently delicious. If you like hot sauce and strong flavors, opt for some of their sauces to dress the bowls up a bit. Plain and simple, it's a great healthy option!“

“This was another adventure for dinner thanks to a Yelp search. I didn't realize the menu concept, or I missed it while checking out the menu online. But, I am glad that it all worked out.Visiting Belmont, we decided to choose this restaurant. I loved that they had hot dogs, sausages, and hamburgers. I am not vegetarian, but there were quite a few options for those who are not meat eaters.As we entered, I heard talking, laughter and the football game. The person who took our order shared with me his suggestions and I went for them. I had the chili cheese tots and the Holy Aoli burger. Didn't realize that all burgers are sliders. My burger was actually 4 sliders! One patty with 4 Hawaiian rolls as buns...yum. I asked for extra green onions on my chili tots, which were plentiful. My mother in love ordered their special Thanksgiving sausage, and my husband had the Reservoir Hog. I yell you, the menu is unique as it is good. Who would have thought that no hormone or antibiotic added meats could be reasonable priced and tasty. I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and our ability to grab our own condiments, too.“

“Clean and modern interior. Very courteous wait staff. Food is solid. Fish and Chips were nicely fried; not overdone inside but perfectly crispy and flaky outside. I can say the same for the fries. Perfect texture; not greasy. Their Linguine Arrabbiata with Chicken pasta was delicious. I loved their French Onion Soup. Light broth and topped with cheesy goodness. I appreciate that the soup was not as salty as most French Onion Soup served at other restaurants.“

They picked food from Chef'x Specials and all was tasty with pretty presentation! Our server was excellent! Thank you Pop! The lavender spritzer was delicate and refreshing ! The ricotta pancakes were ok but not as fluffy as advertised! All in all a nice experience for mother's Day except were a bit rushed by the hostess who told us we have the table for 1 h and 15 min ! I made reservations 2 months ago and we flew from NY ! Possibly we did not need a time frame to enjoy Mother's Day brunch! But I understand!“

“They have many. Places to eat that are familiar to folks like Starbucks coffee, Jamba Juice,Panda Express and Subway. There are also some independent places like the Coho Coffee House and the treehouse now both have very good food and beer available.“

Perfect portion sizes: a meal of an appetizer, main course, and dessert is quite substantial but not humanly impossible to consume. We ordered: Halibut special appetizer - like ceviche but in tomato juice, loved it. Had no idea tomato has enough acid to cook the fish. Did not taste like there was lemon or lime in it but who knows. Burrata - not what we are used to getting as burrata, rather a ricotta filling in a mozzarella shell, unexpected and really great Agrentinian steak: steak absolutely perfect; straightforward sides executed well. Duck main course: meat also perfect, very interesting sides (baby leek and artichoke heart). Basque cheesecake: I wish I could steal their recipe. I make a good cheesecake but theirs is lighter. I am jealous :) Panna Cotta: NOT TOO SWEET THANK YOU SO MUCH Please for heaven's sake get rid of dessert jars. They are just... not a great idea. I had a stronger word there but decided to be a good girl and exercise restraint!“

You'll find classics like burgers, tuna melts, club sandwiches, and even pimento cheese dip (which is delicious). For our mains we split a club sandwich ($15.95) and a tuna melt ($18.95). As you can tell by the photos, they don't skimp on anything. It's really enough food for two meals, and the fries and onion rings, we crushed them while they are hot. All the ingredients tasted super fresh, the bread was perfectly crunchy on both sandwiches. I think for the quality and amount of food you get, the pricing is really reasonable, especially in Palo Alto. For drinks we went with the espresso martinis, and they were delightful and reasonable priced at $13.95. Located at the Stanford golf course, this definitely a hidden spot. If you know, you know.
