“Order: Guava paloma (drink), Quesabirria, Enchiladas En Mole OaxaquenoBirthday Comp Corn Creme Brulee dessertReservations are highly recommended. We were seated quickly because we arrived right as they opened for dinner. Within 30 minutes, the restaurant was packed.***to keep in mind: rooftop outdoor dining is beautiful on a nice day, BUT the menu is very limited. Rooftop dining does NOT offer the full menu. So, if you insist on eating on the rooftop, be aware that menu options are different. To enjoy the full menu, sit downstairs in the indoor or outdoor seating. We had a very delicious dinner to celebrate 2 birthdays. Mine and a friend. We asked the staff for recommendations and we were not disappointed. The Quesabirria is made with LAMB, which is not the typical meat of goat or beef. I absolutely enjoyed it. My 1 and ONLY complaint is the consume. Broth, that is served as an Au gu. It was more greasy than brothy. The flavor was nice, but the greasy didn't allow me to fully enjoy the dipping. The Enchiladas were super mild. Take it from someone who does not care for spicy. The brown chocolaty moles are the ones I personally prefer, so it was just right. The guava paloma was refreshing and surprisingly smooth.Being that we were celebrating 2 birthdays, we were given a complimentary dessert. There was something intriguing about trying the corn creme brulee. Wow! I wanted several more!!! Interesting creation, but corn and sugar are common in Latin cooking. So, it wasn't odd but definitely different. When I went to the restroom, I noticed a few things and informed the staff. By the time my friend went after me, it was all taken care of. It is very much appreciated that it was handled rather quickly. The staff were very attentive and friendly even though it was a busy night for a weekday. As a 1st time guest, I was impressed and looking forward to visiting again to try different menu options.Disclaimer: cupcakes are not part of their menu. We brought our own dessert but couldn't resist the complimentary one restaurant provided.Parking: There are several parking spots right behind the restaurant. If busy, you may not find parking there and will have to resort to street parking or parking garage. Parking garage entrance is right next to Crepeville.“

Suerte Eatery Mexican • $
100 N Almaden Ave, San Jose

“Finally got a chance to try Suerte! I am happy to have this new addition to San Pedro Square. They were extremely busy, had a consistent line, and the workers kept hustling nonstop! I walked in wanting to try the red enchiladas, but they had green enchiladas for St. Patrick's day and decided to try that since it was a special. The enchiladas were really good and flavorful. My boyfriend got the steak and fries plate with the sauce on the side. The cotija fries were BOMB. The aguas were a cool touch. I love how they deck them all and make a non alcoholic drink look cool. Overall, the food was tasty and it's definitely a place I would eat at again if I go into the market to grab food.“

Cenaduría Tradición Tapatía Estilo Jalisco Mexican • $$
2003 Story Rd # 100, San Jose

“I was glad there was a parking lot with lots of empty spots. As soon as I enter the restaurant I was greeted by the lady cashier and gave me some time to choose from the menu posted in the wall, it was hard to decide because there were items I haven’t tasted before. I decided to go with a mixed plate called Lotería, the plate contained one mini Torta Ahogada, one Taco de Canasta, one Taco Dorado and one Taco de Barbacoa, I paid $18.00 and was given a number on a stand and was invited to seat anywhere. I sat right across of a salsa bar looking over to the patio, the patio had seating for about 50 People, the room blend in with the piñatas and colorful banners with Papel Picado to give it that special fiesta Mexicana theme party. My food arrived on two plates, the torta ahogada had the pull pork look and had the taco dorado right next to it, this two items were plated with a side of sliced cabbage, pickled white onions with small pieces of habanero and pickled red onions, the food was covered by a nice red sauce that you are supposed to sink your torta before you eat, the torta roll had the rich texture as to not to fall apart, the cabbage and onions complemented both the torta and the taco dorado. On the other plate I had the savory Barbacoa with just the right level of spices, the taco de canasta consisted of soft chicharron, the avocado salsa from the salsa bar was delicious and had a bit of heat on it, the other salsa molcajete was spicy hot. Overall it was a nice experience that I will repeat soon“
