“This is a review of my first (but not last!) visit out to Charlie's. After seeing the great reviews on Yelp, we decided to take a trip out to visit. Immediately we were greeted warmly by Charlie who asked if we'd visited before and that we hadn't, how we found him. He then mentioned his belief that you can't buy something without trying it first and let us each try one each! We ended up buying a 12 pack of the minis and asked if it was possible to swap out one of the flavors for another. Charlie didn't hesitate and simply added one of the ones we wanted to swap in! Before we left, Charlie kindly told us how to best store and serve them. As we left, we both agreed that we'd be back for both the tasty cheesecake bites as well as to se Charlie again!”

They only have one thing on the menu and it's a Bò Né aka Shaken Beef Sizzling Plate! I thought everything was so good! The bread was so soft, warm, and fresh. The salad was beautifully dressed in a sweet vinegar sauce. The pate created a nice salty taste to add onto the bread and eggs. The beef was so tender and was paired nicely with a sweet sauce. The onions create, not only a nice crunch to the dish, but also enhances the flavor to the whole thing! I really liked the chili oil as well! I think this whole meal was very well worth the price and it's very filling too! The meal also comes with hot tea! I didn't really get to experience the service, but it was quick and simple! You just order and pick up when it's ready. The place is also open seating so you can sit anywhere. Overall, I would love to eat here again!”

The rack of lamb and veal cutlet were fine, but not quite up to the level of the prawns. But the corn soup was only so-so and the creme brulee was below par and we didn't even finish it. Service was friendly and prompt and the setting was nice.”

“Latin-Asian-Fusion is a great restaurant/catering business. We needed to figure out all the details for a baby shower with about 100 people. My daughter wanted it to be elegant and lovely for all. Roddy, the business owner answered a general search that I made on the internet. He suggested a great event space and every step of the way kept us informed of our plans and food selections for an absolutely fun and beautiful event. The food was spectacular, delicious and served in a first class, gorgeous display. All staff were very professional and kept the party well served.”

“Excellent place with very good food and in a good location. There was a parking garage right in front so didn't have to walk too far. The staff and our host was extremely courteous. We were a group of 5 and we ordered the family style which came withe a 4 course meal with a choice of starters, main course and desserts. The quality and taste of the food was excellent. The quantity was huge and we ended up boxing almost half our food as it was really tasty. I would definitely recommend this place.”

“My colleague wanted pho for her birthday dinner because she was craving so I happened to find this place in downtown SJ; a plus, it opens late compared to the other pho spots. The ambiance is clean, modern, and spacious. There is even a bar for drinks, had I known I would have had drinks here before going to a bar. There wasn't many people dining during the week but our server, Kathy, was quite attentive to us even though we asked her to come back three times since my friend and I were catching up. The food is very delicious and portions were fairly sized. For appetizers, it was our first time having taro egg rolls and they were delicious although I wish there were more than just 3 (priced $8). I ordered brisket pho and my friend ordered wonton soup with yellow noodle. My broth was delicious; clear and not cloudy. The meat portions were fairly portioned in my pho and I was happy with it! I ordered chicken chow fun for take out for my husband. He said it was good but needed more chicken, so next time, I think its better to have in person rather than ordering to go. Overall, service and food were decent and better than many of pho places around. KV Noodle is probably one of the top ones in downtown SJ. “I've been here twice now. The second time was on a Thursday where they have free games. You should come within happy hours on Thursdays and you'll get a really good deal.The drinks are decent and the food is pretty good, surprisingly. I liked their chicken wings. I have tried in crepes - Tuscany and Thai I've tried their sweet crepes - the Jamaican one is delicious. The service is always quick, I've never had a wait longer than 5 mins and I've been here on Mother's Day y'all. The food is fantastic. The waiters are extremely attentive. This place is a must try brunch place because it's got something different to offer compared to usual eggs and pancakes fare we see at most brunch places.”

“Landed @ SJC on Southwest at Gate 36 , we were walking towards terminal, the Yo-Kai Express sign for ramen and rice bowls caught my eyes, I was expecting counter service but noticed the vending machine. My son and I thought it was so cool, I've seen social media post on these machines in Japan. Therefore, I was super excited to get to give it a try. I assumed this machine is new here at SJC, I recall another customer mentioned it's new, she wanted to give it a try but didn't have enough time before her flight. "Disclaimer", Before ordering you will have to consent to the product that is served hot and the soup content may scald, to avoid serious harm you are aware of using this product. From experience the bowl of noodles really comes out HOT, so please be careful. There are alot of noodle soup choices to choose from, even rice bowls. Taiwan beef noodle soup, Tantanmen, Black garlic tonkatsu ramen with soft boil egg, vegan udon, Tokyu shoyu ramen, spicy kimchi pork ramen, & Vietnamese beef pho. Some items were sold out. The prices for ramen varies and will tell you once you click on the item. We ended up trying the spicy kimchi pork bowl which is $13.99, total with tax $15.30, paid via credit card, my son and I was surprised at how this machine's ability to make our ramen. It was making a cool sound, while the machine was preparing our bowls. The only junk part about enjoying this bowl, it is hard to eat sitting down, w/no tables. We were lucky we saw an empty counter which we got to set the bowl down for photos. ( it is covered with plastic and lid) I love the little utensil kit with mini chop sticks, fork, spoon, and napkin, comes in a box. Overall, the bowl came out as pictured, kim chi, half cooked egg, pork belly, it tasted pretty good, a little on the salty side. I loved that it was piping hot, compared to some ramen shop the ramen comes out lukewarm and the broth is hot coming out of a vending machine. Wow! I can't wait to check out this machine again when we fly out of SJC during our future trips. I want to see how the rice bowl is and try the other ramen flavors. Yo-Kai Express is between Gate 33-34, kind of out of the way if you are not boarding near this gate, but worth the experience to give it a try. I am glad we got to check out this vending machine for the very first time, Technology is super cool!!”

His responses to my email did not go through to my email initially, but he made sure that I received the answers, so he emailed me from his personal email, which is customer service right there. The day of delivery (during a storm), he came early just to make sure we would get them on time. The mini cupcakes and fruit tarts were so cute and delicious! Love the mirror in front of the flower wall to make sure you look on point! The drinks we ordered were the strawberry matcha latte, butterfly lemonade, Thai milk tea, peach green tea and a basic jasmine tea. Jasmine was very simple with no sweetener. I like that. The milk used in most of their drinks are lactose free friendly, so you know what won't happen The peach green tea was sweet but still good. If you like a tarty lemonade, the butterfly lemonade is perfect for you. My bf and his son loves it. The strawberry matcha was delicious the matcha was not overpowering and had the perfect amount of strawberry flavor in it. The Thai milk tea was sweet but not too sweet. My stepson enjoyed his sweet brown sugar matcha. Soooo we popped in for six more drinks yesterday night. Only this time I changed ordered haidee's perfect matcha instead of the Thai milk tea. I wanted to try something different. Service was great and staff was friendly! Only con is the sweetness and ice level options.”

“Having read all the raving reviews, my expectations from this place were very high. We got the Bonda soup and the pani puri. The panipuri tasted good, not exceptional, but alright. What was disappointing was the quantity of filling offered. It wasn’t enough for all the puris. Maybe if we had more filling to spare for each puri, the taste would have been elevated. We were trying bonda soup for the first time, so we don’t know what to compare it to. But we weren’t impressed. The Bonda ‘batter’ separated from the fried crust on putting it in the soup. So we were eating the ‘batter’ with soup and the crust with soup, separately. Not a great experience. This was the place I was most looking forward to on our trip to San Jose and sadly, I am disappointed by it.”

“We had a wonderful experience at LB Steak the other night, the atmosphere was great, not too stuffy and perfect for a DateNight! They have a pretty extensive wine list, and from what I could see, the Bar looked pretty well stocked too. We ordered a couple glasses of the Benton Lane Pinot Noir, which was delicious and then decided to order a whole bottle. My husband had the Boneless Ribeye and I had the petite Filet Mignon, both meats were juicy and tender, cooked to perfection. It definitely satisfied our “steak jones” we ordered the Mac and Cheese to share, which is served “Family style.” Let me tell you, I would go back just for another helping of the Mac and Cheese, it was so yummy, the noodles were cooked perfectly and the cheese blend was amazing! We loved everything about the Mac and Cheese! We ended our night with dessert, I had the fruit Crème Brûlée and my husband had the Chocolate Molten Cake and both were outstanding! The crowd leans toward not young, not dive barflies, and below professionals who flash money. A good mix. Gets very loud! Note the receipt says "SH House" but the outside sign remained Song Huong.”

I actually got caught off guard when the barista asked how my day was going because I’m so accustomed to the robotic baristas at Philz that just at scowl at you when you come up to the register. It really feels like the baristas here genuinely want to make you feel at home.2) Lots of seating which is usually rare at popular coffee shops. Being in SP Square means you can easily grab some good food if you need a lunch break and don’t want to move your car.3) Free cup of coffee with unlimited refills if you buy a bag of whole beans.4) Free 90 minutes of parking without the need of validation.Only downside of this place is that it can sometimes feel like a McDonald’s play land with how many parents let their kids run around screaming. And on weekdays, lot of people taking zoom calls and having meetings, so I’d recommend a good pair of noise cancelling headphones”

“A friend of ours was raging about this little pizza place he found in San Jose. So of course we had to check it out. The restaurant is on the smaller side but if you get there early, you should be able to get a table. They have a bar and TV's for those sports enthusiasts. The owner, and staff are very friendly and helpful. More importantly, the pizza was delicious! I love the thin crust. You can order what's on the menu or create your own pizza. However, off late their weekend crowd is unbelievable! So much so that they don't pick calls to take orders on these days! And recently, the pizza missed the mark as it was taken out a bit sooner with still raw-ish peppers and under done crust. But, I will still keep the 5 stars given how they have maintained quality all these years and given how amazing their pizzas are!”

The food was very good but in France, which has very high culinary standards, would probably rate 3 stars instead of 4 here. Little details like the thickness of bread in the French Onion soup were just off a bit.They specialize in cocktails so we were surprised at the bright red color of our Boulevardier...it did not have that darker hue from the bourbon which also tasted like it was missing. Other cocktails sampled were very good however.This place won't transport you back to France if you are looking for their 5-star cuisine, however it does make an excellent facsimile and the food plus setting is a wonderful experience.Parking: There is a large parking garage that was within a 5 minute walk. It was a weeknight and the garage was free but it was almost filled up.”

This is definitely a satisfying meal for gyro lovers. The service was amazing and the employees are helpful and catering towards their guests.”

Got the mini loco moco, and the meat, gravy, mac salad, everything was flavorful and satisfying... the mini size was sufficient for a filling meal. Based on taste, I'd say this would be one of my top 2 hawaiian spots in the south bay.”
