“Best hot dogs I've ever had! So many condiments (some homemade!) to chose from and everything was well worth the price. I sometimes avoid hotdogs because of how they make me feel afterwards, but I was completely fine after eating these- definitely shows the quality of the meat! The owner, Daniel, is such a friendly guy and gives awesome service. If the weather is looking bad, make sure to check their Instagram story to see if they're open that day. Highly recommend!“

Hot Dog on a Stick American •

“No trip to the boardwalk is complete without a trip to Hot Dog On A Stick. In fact, it is the one thing I miss more than anything from my trips to the boardwalk. You have your choice of what goes inside that crispy delicious deep fried batter. In fact sometimes I just want to eat the outside, dipped in mustard. I really love this place.“

“Arguably the best burgers in Santa Cruz. Grass fed beef and plenty of other items like Mac N cheese, corn dogs and grilled cheese for the kids. Pacific Ave does have a bar and will make you a mud slide. The fries are shoelace cut and some kinda panco crispyness, but if they served steak cut fries, I'd give them 5 stars. Always something good here.“

A&W Restaurant Fast Food • $
2120 41st Ave, Capitola

“It was a good idea having KFC and A&W combined. I enjoyed having the choice between the two places or a little of both. I went with three chicken strips and a double cheeseburger combo. Both were hot and seemed really fresh. The chicken was super tender and the burger had a great flavor. The fries were also some of the best I've had in a while. They had a little seasoning on them which tasted really good. The restaurant doesn't have a lot of places to sit but even to go would be a great option. Definitely worth a try.“

Georgie's Cook House Burgers • $

“Open daily through Spring and Summer and on weekends during winter. It's a great pitstop for before or after the Roaring Camp train ride with food that is quickly turned around. Our kids would not have lasted the drive to Santa Cruz with no lunch so this was very convenient for us.They serve burgers, nuggets, fries, ice cream, chili, and coffee.Cheeseburger, slightly on the smaller size so not so good for sharing. Tasted OK, would be good to pair with fries or chips for a more complete meal.Chicken Nuggets and Fries, these were also OK. Nuggets needed a bit more seasoning but the fries were hot and fresh with a good amount of salt.Extra stars for staff who dealt with a super-rude customer. He was cursing at them for letting someone "cut" in line in front of him literally only taking a minute to order and he was waiting in front of the window instead of to the side like everyone else.“

Best In Dogs Food Stands • $

“I've been to just about all the hot dog spots in town, and Best In Dogs lives up to its name! Best in town for sure. Great selection or gourmet dogs and styles and the place had a fun rock and roll vibe to it. Usually some great dad rock playing. If you're lucky, you'll be served by Lucy, she is the sweetest!“
