“We had such a lovely time at Spuntino. The service was excellent and all of the food was delicious. We ordered the Capellini Aglio e Olio and the Lasagna. Both had an Indian spice flavor to them which was great. Ordered the Arancini as well which were very good and they were even kind enough to bring us an order of Focaccia on the house because “it’s just too good to pass up”. They were right! Will definitely be back.”

Temaki Den 3350 Brighton Blvd, Denver Sushi • $$$

“Sushi is one of my favorite forms of food. I did not expect to have the best sushi I've ever had in Denver. But on a recent stay in RiNo, my wife and I tried out Temaki Den. And the experience was amazing. First, the hostess was phenomenal. Amazing service. Went out of her way to improve our experience. Second, we went with the omakase to try and experience as many things as possible. Third, the nigiri and temaki is amazing. We went to a Michelin Star rated restaurant the night before, and while they was great... this experience was better. There wasn't an item served that wasn't lower than a 8/10. And MOST of the items were 9-10/10. To be honest, it didn't make sense to me. I've watched documentaries about sushi and how important fresh fish is... so how Temaki Den is able to get this quality is beyond my understanding. But it's nothing short of amazing. The ambience is probably the weakest aspect of the restaurant. It's not bad, by any means, but it's not "luxury." The restaurant is located in the middle of a mall-like shopping area. That wasn't a big deal to us, but if you need an "elevated" environment to eat at, this may not be for you. But the service and the food is outstanding and this is probably my favorite spot in Colorado. My thanks to everyone who works here for giving us a fantastic anniversary experience!”

BRUTO 1801 Blake St, Denver Tapas/Small Plates • $$$$

“By far the best restaurant in Denver. From the moment you walk in you're welcomed by an incredibly well trained front of house staff, while the open concept kitchen and intimate atmosphere allow the kitchen staff and Chef Michael to interact with the guests in a completely unpretentious manner, creating an all encompassing experience from start to finish. Each dish is beautifully composed and thoughtful, some may call it 'tweezer' food, but this tweezer food has heart, has soul. It's modern and innovative but taste like comfort, invites you to savor each bite and leaves you wanting for the next. While the food is memorable on it's own, the cocktail and wine pairings are not to be ignored, both options are incredible, and listening to the artists that pick and craft these libations explain their thought process is akin to listening a storyteller around a fire, immersive and brilliant. An absolute experience from start to finish that I'm always honored to be apart of.”

Drinks the dirty martini but best part the blue cheese olives made in house. Oysters the West coast Oysters, so full and succulent with a light sweetness definitely worth the cost. I do love that the shucker broke down the protein weight and nutritional components that affirm the cost. That understanding alone is worth a pretty penny. The steaks last but certainly not least we're great. The quality of the meat and the story your able to read prior to making the decision helps your experience as you bite into there perfectly peppered steaks. Sunday Vinyl 1803 16th St Mall, Denver Wine Bar • $$$

“This was our first experience at a Frasca Hospitality Group restaurant and it was, overall, very pleasant! The food was delicious, service was attentive and fast, and the ambiance was exactly what you’d expect—funky (esp the music, couldn’t stop dancing in my seat lol) but elevated! We ordered 9 dishes: beef tartare, salt beets, scallops, and pork belly to start; I had the roast chicken and my partner ordered the pork loin with the potato pave and rolls as a side; and we finished with the honey cheesecake for dessert. The scallops were far and away our favorite, and my chicken was perfectly cooked and a solid portion size. Everything else was delicious too (but the scallops still won the day) however, my partner’s pork loin seemed overcooked and a bit bland as is, but the stewed apple (sauce?) overpowered anything that it touched… So we’d definitely avoid ordering that again. Also a general comment on the pricing—it’s all pretty high for the portions you get, with dishes average $20+ so our bill (along with a bottle of wine) was over $150/person (albeit, we were comfortably full, not overstuffed, at the end of dinner). My last note will be that the music was a bit too loud at our table, as I think there was a speaker right above us so we were having to yell a bit to hear one another. Altogether, a very positive experience and I’m excited to come back to try more of their extensive wine selection and listen to funky jams again!”

“Food was innovative and delicious. Our server, though very nice, cleared my drink before I was finished. I tried to catch their attention but was unable to in time.Adding 20% onto a check for 3 people was unorthodox and doesn’t feel like the right scenario for a restaurant. Fruition Restaurant 1313 E 6th Ave, Denver New American • $$$$

“Let’s start with the simplistic yet warm ambiance of the restaurant. It feels like a special and even secret space. It’s like walking into someone’s home. The staff are absolutely excellent in their field. The host Jen in particular was charming and fluid in her orchestrating our seating. Which by the way was generously offered to us even though we didn’t have reservations, at 6pm on a Friday night (our original plan fell through don’t judge!)Of course last but not least was the fabulous dynamic dishes we were served. We started with a few little bites that packed a flavorful punch; butternut squash and ricotta surrounded in fried golden puff topped with pomegranate seed melted into the mouth exquisitely. We shared the lamb tartare which was uniquely served with the crunchy bit on top of the tartare. Next up we shared a radicchio salad of sorts with grapefruit, meyers lemon, and black olive ash. A total harmony of delight. We continued into our main dishes, which I was trepidatious to choose the vegetarian option of turnip mushroom cakes with lentils, however I adored my dish and enthusiastically preferred it over my companions swordfish. We finished with a sweet note with their chocolate caramel pannacotta. It was a delightful dichotomy of sweet and salt and smooth and crunchy.Treat yourself to their quality service, ingredients, atmosphere and culinary artistry.”

“This place is amazing and I would recommend to all who love poke and want to support a small local business. The brothers who own the shop are running the FOH (front of house), engaging with their guest, explaining how and where they source their ingredients, and sharing their passion behind what they do. They were super friendly, had great recommendations, and it made me appreciate each bite all the more because I knew the ingredients were mostly locally sourced and quality foods. The mix of the flavors was so good and it was the perfect amount of food, not leaving me hungry or grossly full. Go here if you want a unique, quality, local experience with delicious poke.”

“I'm in town from Oregon and I rode the bus for like an hour to eat lunch here by myself. No regrets. The atmosphere: unmatched. Folks were playing songs on the juke box that got me hype for a concert I'm seeing tomorrow, and the bartender's playlist was super dope too. The food: unreal. I got the poodle bites and idk if I was expecting like more of a hush puppy with a little bit of ground meat inside, but that first bite of pure cornmeal-fried sausage absolutely took me out. You must get these. The Gwarled cheese was really good too, you gotta put the pickles on it for some bite cause it's rich. Pork belly was a tad dry for me. The sweet tots were the best I've ever had (and I come from the state that invented tater tots!) The service: awesome. Food came quick, I didn't get drinks but other folks were getting them immediately and cheerfully. Go here and tip well!”

They sent over an unexpected celebratory glass of champagne for the both of us. The service was 10/10, they had wonderful recommendations, kept the table clean from crumbs and dishes etc. Let's start with the drinks- I had the Pisco cocktail which was fun, it's on the sweeter side, if you like a sweet cocktail with mint and grapefruit, this is the drink for you. My partner got the Mediterranean olive oil cocktail - so fun and the presentation was beautiful. The food was unique and inspired. We ordered the set tasting menu, we loved everything we tried. Followed by grilled artichoke, lamb tart also marvelous, a creamy pasta dish w/fresh grated cheese which was sublime, finished off with semifreddo cannoli for dessert. The Regular 1432 Market St, Denver Fine Dining • $$$$

“My wife and I recently went to The Regular. We had the most incredible time. Once we walked in, we experienced a very cool, warm, hip lounge like vibe. The restaurant was beautiful. I started with a Vanderbilt Bunny which is a lighter smoother take on a Boulevardier. My wife enjoyed a Tears of Dawn’s Simplicity which was very light and smooth. It was presented in a beautiful delicate cup with a flower frozen in a round ice cube. Each drink was served in a glass specifically selected. It was very evident that significant thought was placed in every aspect of the restaurant. The plates were beautiful which complemented the incredible food. The variety of food was very refreshing. There was a twist on every appetizer and entrée. We started with the oysters which were absolutely beautifully presented in a bright green sauce served over a bed of shiny pebbles. Each oyster was dressed with three colorful drops of oil. The salmon Toradito was equally wonderful with brilliant yellow and orange colors. The salmon was complimented with a small crispy corn crunch. We then had the Peking Duck and Short Rib. The portions were very large and hearty. The half duck was served with crispy skin, unique blend of spices on a bed of Parsley risotto which was perfectly cooked. The breast meat was super tender and the leg meat fell off of the bone. The short rib (which included two large portions) was easily enough for two. The short rib was decadently delicious. It literally fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. Needless to say, we were unable to finish both entrées. I was able to get a glimpse of the whole Seabass with chimichurri sauce go by to another table. It looked incredible. We concluded with a smooth velvety sweet potato custard. This was also so very unique- unlike anything I have ever tasted before. It was great. Unfortunately it is seasonal.Overall we had an incredible experience. This was not simply eating a great meal. It was an event we truly enjoyed. When you are sitting at the table, you smile at everything. We definitely will be back with Friends.”

Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. “Every course of the meal was delicious and all offerings were appealing on this Denver Restaurant Week menu. The bread was fresh with a crunchy crust. The burrata was generous, flavorful and attractively presented. The minestrone had the right amount of spice and the pasta in it was al dente. The eggplant parmesian was stacked high with a generous amount of traditional red sauce. The limoncello cake was light and lemony and paired well with a double espresso. Can't say enough about the totality of enjoyment in this experience.”

Kawa Ni

Kawa Ni 1900 W 32nd Ave, Denver Izakaya • $$$

“It is not often that the hype of a place lives up to the claims but Kawa Ni is one such place. You walk into a very vibey space with music, an open kitchen and a gong on the wall that they hit anytime anyone orders a beer with a sake shot. It honestly does a good job of transporting you at least a little bit to somewhere else. The cocktails were well balanced and fun, but not so fun and unique that you have to wonder what the heck they are trying to say is in each one. The menu is all supposed to be shareable, for the best experience I recommend going with a group of 4 or more. We got a smatterings of things from the hamachi, a 10/10 by the way, to the shaved broccoli which had such a unique sauce on it and was perfectly dressed, to the cold soba noodles. I want to give a moment to the peanut sauce on those soba noodles, because my god that sauce is a peanut lovers dream! I want it in a jar to put on every rice dish I eat moving forward! Very few things fell short of delicious expectations! Some things were more standout in flavor than others but nothing was abhorrent or made me turn up my nose. Some items I enjoyed but won't rave about, the matcha tiramisu, it was really good, but the way people rave about it you would expect it to be the kind of delicious that could end a long standing feud between scorned lovers, for me it was a decent dessert, but next time I will try something else. Also, The curry dish, I wanted more pow when it came to flavor. It was good, but curry can be so much more. The menu changes regularly which I love because it means I can have a different experience if I go from season to season. Kawa Ni will absolutely be on my short list when it comes to places I want to take people when they visit.”

The bread was good, well made and tender, too much toasted, charred flavor a little overpowering with the earthiness of the beets. Plums bloomed with the wine which was niceSecond course paired with a trollingerBroccoli with an almond creme sauce, came out warm. Very mild flavors, but not delicateCitrus salad with oranges, grapefruits, fennel and pistachio. Was well put together and the way the flavors layered was pleasant.Third course, paired with an East coast zinfandelCabbage miso hummus was warm but a little salty, hearty tho' good mouth feel, and cabbage was cooked but not mushyBy this time we were pretty full, we put it in a Togo, that we brought with us.Pesto style arugula, beans and breadcrumbs and rigati hearty and delicious. The other dish really paled in comparison to this oneFor dessert they brought us a single slice of apple cake. Good cream (non-dairy, with almond milk), meh cake, buuuut.... Get it with the coffee and it's much better.Paired with a sweet vermouth drink, chocolate bitters, very excellent.Though we wanted the Panna cotta and tiramisu. We ended up ordering them anyway. GOLDEN FALAFEL 6460 EAST YALE AVENUE SUITE G20A, Denver Mediterranean • $

“Ok so everything was good but the side salad alone was worth this review of 5 stars. Ordered the gyro plate which was flavorful and nicely decorated but the salad blew me away considering this is a Mediterranean joint… Instead of plain iceberg lettuce, a couple toms and cucs, this side salad had SPINACH, mixed greens, a HANDFUL of blueberries, strawberries, and a lovely creamy sweet mayo-based dressing. Was such a nice touch to the overall flavor experience. Would do again”

“Amazing coffee!! We stopped at their location on 18th/Curtis in the building lobby and honestly what a perfect way to start the day. The lady and gentleman running the stand were kind and most importantly knew their coffee. Right when we walked up you could smell how fresh the beans were. Delicious fresh drip coffee for my boyfriend. Hot, fresh and smooth with no bitter aftertaste. I had a fabulous iced latte with honey and almondmilk. I highly recommend them over your National coffee chains. What a delicious way to start our day!”

“Our recent visit to STK Steakhouse was nothing short of extraordinary. Once again, the team at STK, especially Neil and Thomas, elevated our dining experience to new heights. Their impeccable service was not just about efficiency; it was a genuine commitment to ensuring every moment felt special. Neil and Thomas were attentive, knowledgeable, and personable, creating an atmosphere that made us feel like true VIPs. The attention to detail and genuine care they exhibited throughout the meal were the highlights of our dining adventure. Now, let's talk about the "bag o' donuts." Those little bites of heaven were the perfect sweet conclusion to our savory journey. The combination of warm, pillowy donuts and delectable dipping sauces was a symphony of flavors. Each bite was a testament to the chef's culinary prowess and a delightful surprise that left a lasting impression. “Edit:In addition to the below, we popped for brunch recently and loved the food even more. We tried some bottomless mimosas, the Wagyu Silders (gf version), hungover ramen, and a bao bun with duck. Great!Had a great New Year's Eve experience! Will definitely come back for a regular meal as well.First of all, the place is very cool, and I love industrial design. Second, the staff was amazing, big thank you to our server, Anna, for helping me to save my coat after I stupidly spilled wine on it. Third, we were surprised by the quality and size of the portions - I'm used to expecting less on special occasions, but this was both delicious and huge.It was a 4-course NYE menu. We loved the kimbap and short ribs arepa (my favorite), followed by the entrées, in our case - pork loin and lamb shank. The mains were so big that we were not able to make progress with our desserts, which were sizeable too. Those were least favorite anyway, but still greatly appreciated.Gluten free options are clearly marked and plenty. I love it.It's time to plan another visit.”

“Great seafood in Denver which is an accolade that should not be overlooked in a landlocked state. They fly in their fish and have a great selection from around the world. Oysters are always great and it’s nice to have a selection from each coast rather than just one option. Their sauces really enhance the experience, we like the habanero lime and red onion sauces the best. Servers were very attentive and cocktails were fun and tasty. They also didn’t skimp on their lobster roles.”

“Went here for a business dinner in a group of six and I was floored by the experience. From the moment you walk in the door, the service is truly exceptional. Our server even marked up a menu to highlight what I could safely eat with my food allergies, which I thought was above and beyond. There seemed to be care put into every aspect of the dining experience. The food was incredible, with highlights being the pork belly bao buns, the tempura asparagus, and the soup dumplings. Absolutely worth the trip for this gem.”

“I didn’t want to write a review because I wanted to gate keep this place. This place popped up down the street to where I live so we had to check it out. Being our first time we wanted to try a little of everything so we got a pizza, lobster ravioli, and cheese sticks. The pizza was huge perfectly cooked and melty. I almost licked my plate after finishing this lobster ravioli (MY FAV), and the cheese sticks came with piping hot marinara which was delectable. Also the $8 margaritas DONT MISS. After this, I changed the venue of my birthday party because nothing beats the price, atmosphere, service, and above all taste of this place.”

The photos and artwork were a conversation piece. Now the food, the spicy noodles was on point. A new flavor I haven't tasted. I also enjoy the scallion pancakes and wings. The Blue Fish Denver 1607 Wewatta St, Denver Japanese • $$

“New spot open at 16th & Wewatta downtown -- and I'm always happy to have more sushi around! It's hard with competition like Blue Sushi Sake Grill just a few blocks away -- but here's how I think they stack up. I wish there were more fish/sashimi items on happy hour here (not just the tower and the basic rolls) -- but I also really like the quality of the fish here and availability of things like toro (tuna belly) and yellowtail belly -- neither of which Blue Sushi has. The chef's choice sashimi is a little pricy at $50, but the mega lobster roll is totally worth the $36 if you consider the entire lobster tail inside. Some deets and prices below... LUNCH - Mon-Fri 11am-2pm DINNER - Sun-Thu 4-10pm / Fri & Sat 4-11pm HAPPY HOUR is daily 4-6pm and includes $3 off signature cocktails, $5 hot or cold house sake, $5 Japanese draft beers, $5 house wine, 12 sushi towers (salmon and/or tuna), $5-12 hot bites, and 2 basic rolls for $18. Lunch specials include a sashimi lunch ($25), nigiri & roll combo ($20), sashimi & nigiri combo ($25), poke bowl ($22), spicy chicken or teriyaki bowl ($20), beef bulgogi bowl ($20), and chirashi bowl ($25). Some of my favorite bites I had here: yellowtail sashimi ($20), chef's choice sashimi ($50), and mega lobster roll ($36, but that's with a whole lobster tail in there). You also can't go wrong ordering your favorite sushi/sashimi a la carte -- and I highly recommend the toro (tuna belly) and yellowtail belly! Those aren't cuts everyone carries. Tasty non-fish items are also available, like the kobe hot rock ($30) and wagyu roll (seared table-side, $36).”

“We usually eat at the P.F. Chang's in Lakewood, but we were close to the Northfield area so stopped in to eat at the Northfield restaurant & boy what a nice difference....so much better at the Northfield Restaurant. This is probably our new favorite PF Chang's. Our waiter Zeke was fantastic...super friendly & provided great service. I looked around the restaurant & seemed like all of the employees (hostesses, bartenders, wait staff) were smiling & very professional. We had the GF chicken lettuce wraps & the GF Singapore noodles with just chicken & both were very very good...the noodle dish was a tad spicy but I'm sure that if you ask for less spice they would tone it down. All in all, an excellent waiter, excellent food . We will definitely be back & ask for Zeke if he is available.”

EQ Crepé and Burger Bar 1517 Wynkoop St, Denver Fast Food • $

“This place was AMAZING! Stopped in on my way to an Avs game and was really pleasantly surprised. The staff was super friendly and helpful and didn't judge us for taking a little time to read the menu (admittedly, crepes and burgers just seems like a weird combo). The truffle burger is to die for! I recommend trying it first as is because that was perfection in my mouth. The truffle mayo was delectable! They also have a, I believe, homemade lemonade that was pretty bomb too. To finish it off, I had a strawberry and Nutella dessert crepe which was also soooo so good (it was my first experience with Nutella, so that was interesting). The location was good, the interior was clean and open and the music was nice to listen to (not too loud, not too quiet). Very VERY reasonably priced for downtown Denver too (it was $35 for 2 adults), so this place really is the trifecta of an awesome dining experience (great food, great price, great ambiance/service). Overall, I won't be looking for places to eat on game days, this is it. A+++++++++”

“A great addition to the South Broadway beer scene! Sampled two of their beers, the Cold IPA and the BA Quad, and both were excellent. I would love to see more of the "big" beers on tap here in their more walkable/bikeable location, but I also get wanting to delineate from the destination barrel house as more of a hangout spot. Gorgeous building, too, with brick, wood rafters, and the fermenter hanging out in the open.”

La Forêt 38 S Broadway, Denver Cocktail Bar

“So excited this wonderful restaurant is finally open! My friend and I stopped in for some appetizer bites and a cocktail. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful; he offered excellent suggestions and seemed very knowledgeable about the menu. We each tried a cocktail (small portion for $18-22 but the presentation was cool) and split the potatoes, beets, and French onion soup (probably one of the best versions I've ever had). The main attraction is inarguably the pristine forest setting inside; as someone who LOVES trees, this brought such a peaceful and blissful experience to the interior space for me. The bathroom itself was a lovely touch. I'd love to come back for a special occasion. :)”

Super excited to have them off Tennyson!”
