“The food was good and and a fair amount. If I had my choice I would rather have my meal in something other than an aluminum tin. The price was also a little higher than what I would have expected for mostly carbohydrates but the food was tasty. The service staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was typical of a small place and as I remember was clean. The cheese cake sounded good but would have been over the top in price.“

“We visited Guard & Grace because it is a Michelin inspector recommended restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice. The food is awesome! Just a bit salty for me. Not many restaurants season a fish 24-hour ahead of time, the black cod is really tasty! Filet Mignon was also really good, loved the desert as well!“

“Food was innovative and delicious. Our server, though very nice, cleared my drink before I was finished. I tried to catch their attention but was unable to in time.Adding 20% onto a check for 3 people was unorthodox and doesn’t feel like the right scenario for a restaurant. I’ve heard of adding gratuity for parties of six or more, but adding to a three-top is not standard practice.“

“Be aware they are now charging a “service charge”. It’s was not noted on the menu nor did the server inform us of the charge. The only reason I found out is I requested a printed receipt. The receipt recommended an additional tip be between 2-7% on top of the charge. Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. The unfortunate part is I didn’t look at the receipt for over a week after I visited. I’m very disappointed that I’m being charged a “service fee” and at no time was it ever brought to my attention that this is a new thing.“

“We both love Duo. Our meal started with the asparagus soup which was delicious. Then I had the mushroom main and my wife had the delicious chicken main. Since it was a special occasion, my birthday, and we told the waiter who was very professional and nice, brought us a little mango ice cream with a birthday candle beside the ice cream cup. It was a lovely birthday dinner evening.“

“We were given a gift card about 2 years ago for The Plimoth and we finally went with friends last night for dinner. Why did we wait this long on going here ? The food and service were amazing. You can tell the chefs cared what they put out as well as the bartenders. We split 3 shareable apps. The asparagus, the arugula and kale salad, and the Pork & Garlic Quiche. All were good but I could have devoured the quiche all by myself. My husband got the asparagus and potato soup. This was unbelievable! I never thought asparagus would be good in a soup and its lick the bowl clean good. Would love to have their recipe for this. For dinner I had the Pork Jägerschnitzel. The flakiness of the crust and the tenderness of the pork was incredible. The lentil and pea trio complimented the pork perfectly. My husband had the lamb and didn't leaving anything left on his plate. Our friends got the halibut and the schnitzel and all enjoyed their meals. We all said we would definitely go back. Would recommend reservations for sure on the weekends and most likely during the week as well. In the summer they have a nice patio and would be nice to enjoy dinner el fresco. Kudos to The Plimoth on a job well done.“

“Came here for drinks and snacks and my companions swapped out and then we stayed for dinner. This is a rather small space, but in a more convenient area of downtown in that it's on the fringe. It was quite busy the night we were there, which is great. The wine list is great, of course as a somm is a co-owner. We shared the big charcuterie board, which was awesome and definitely lots of delicious items. My husband was the late joiner and he ordered the farmhouse chicken. Unfortunately, it was super salty, but otherwise good. I still need to try the scotch olives! I'll definitely be back.“

I tried their waffle fries, corn dogs, and corn nuggets. Waffle fries and corn dogs are the average but corn nuggets were sooooo delicious! The service was great and fast. “I haven’t been here for a minute… and I really am feeling like I have forgotten a gem… great bar close to union station.. local vibes, feels and wonderful bartenders! Very welcoming and easy to chat with! I meandered in for the surf & turf burger special… and a nice bulliet rye on the rocks. I was hesitant to say the least.. all the added things… but I must say “creative genius”.. burger?? perfectly prepared… falling out the burger breaded crayfish! Lobster hollandaise??‍♂️..melted my senses…then to finish it off some montanegro!“

“We went to dinner at Sunnyside supper club on a Saturday night with a party of 7(3 adults and 4 kids) for my birthday dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by everything they had to offer. Everything was fantastic. Service was incredible, our waitress was just so Amazing. She was super knowledgeable and extremely attentive. She had an ability to know what we needed before we could even ask. Every bit of food we ordered was stellar. We ordered calamari, the meatballs and the deviled eggs as appetizers and they were all delicious. Loved the meatballs and polenta-- the marinara is perfectly done here and the best I've ever had. The calamari was perfectly breaded and fried to a beautiful golden color but not greasy or chewy. The deviled eggs were smoky and delicious, perfectly seasoned. We also ordered a Detroit style pizza as well as the Neapolitan and the crust on both were to die for! The Detroit was hands down my favorite, something so perfect about it, light and airy but thick with a nice crispiness to it. They have somehow figured out how to make the perfect pizza dough and marinara sauce. We also ordered the chicken Parmesan, and pear walnut salad which were both equally as delicious. Everything was specially sourced and made with love, from the marinara sauce to the Buffalo mozzarella, to the pizza dough. Hands down the best pizza I've ever had. The pasta is made in house and so good and the kids loved every bite. We finished off with the beignets and ice cream for desert which the kids went wild for. The beignets are made from the same dough as the pizza and tossed in a simple syrup and cinnamon sugar. Super light and airy yet satisfying and not overly sweet. We had 4 children with us, ranging from age 9 down to 8 months old and they all enjoyed the food!! The owner was also working, clearing plates and making sure customers were taken care of-- it was wonderful to talk to him and understand the for-thought he has put into selecting recipes and ingredients. Overall the place had a great ambiance and was very family friendly but still having an upscale feel. I was surprised at how many families with small children were there enjoying dinner as well as folks out for a date night. We will definitely be returning in the near future!“
