They loved the food they never had it before I live in South Amboy but I’m from Newark work in Matawan at the nursing home, and they never had the flu before they loved it. Good job, kings.“

“I've recently discovered Vonda's.Parking is fairly easy on a weekday.The establishment is nice. It's spacious and usually no waiting for a table. The artwork on the walls are really nice.The French toast is wonderful!!!! Kudos to the chef!!!!Will definitely return for more.“

“I love this restaurant! We order delivery every weekend! The workers are so nice. The food is delicious. My family and I love the mac n cheese and collard greens in particular. The beef stew is delicious and the fried chicken wings are so good. I am a big fan.“

“For starters, let me just state that this was my first time ever eating African food. I had okra, white rice, and debie. This eatery was highly recommended by a friend, and it was delicious. However, the person cooking was really unpleasant when I returned alone one day, and I nearly decided not to return even though I was really craving it. I returned to give it one last try, and I'm glad I did because I visit this place nearly every week. The individual I interacted with during this interaction was really kind and supportive. I haven't tried anything else on the menu, but the white rice and okra combination is AMAZING. The best part is that there is a lot of food and it is quite reasonably priced.“

“Place is a gem. Food is good. Unfortunately, when I was there and there was a VERY LOUD party of 17 people. We couldn't fully enjoy the meal. That being said, had the weather been nice we could have eaten in their lovely courtyard. I will definitely go again. I Will probably check out their $40 buffet on Saturday or Sunday.“
