“I shared a gomtang bowl with extra pork with a friend, as well as a plate of mandu. Both dishes were fantastic. The mandu is especially flavorful given that they are vegetarian and made with tofu. They also dont skimp out on the pork in the gomtang, so keep in mind that it will be a heavier meal. The rice and broth are very tasty as well. The kimchi they served on the side was fresher than most korean restaurants I've been to – I'm definitely a fan. They sell 16oz packs of it for just $5 which feels like a steal!PS. I did not get a drink, but my friend who has tried a few of their drinks said she wasnt too impressed given the price.“

“I’ve been a customer of Season Vegan for a while now. Though I am sad to see them leave Harlem. I am glad that they are still in existence as they give vegan around the world hope. The food is so amazing. You sometimes forget that it is Plant based. When I arrived, it seemed as if it was a family welcoming environment, as there was a multitude of people inside of the restaurant who did not know each other before entering the restaurant. I entered into the conversation of what type of food I’m usually into and how long I’ve been vegan .Vegan in New York is a must. I’m proud of Season Vegan. I can’t wait until they expand their business.“

“Roberta’s featured nice indoor/ outdoor décor, good food, a stacked bar and a live DJ doing a livestream keeping the place lively when I was there on a Friday night. It’s a place to go with or without friends, to meet people or on a lil dinner date. The service was excellent, and I love that it’s a Black-owned, family run business. I highly recommend it!“

“Food was very good. Our server was very nice, but absent for most of the meal. Had to work to get her attention at the end and ended up paying the book with someone else and tipping them for coming over to help us. As per most restaurants owned or operated by people under 50, it was entirely too loud. Music was blaring and the three of us were shouting to hear each other. The 20 year old at our table complained about the volume. It's not an age thing, it's a common sense thing.“

“Was a VP3 (Vegetarian Paradise 3) patron and early in when Red Bamboo first opened. There's no vegan restaurant competition in my eyes...Red Bamboo is it.When I'm out of town, I long for and dream of Red Bamboo's vegan soul food. The menu goes crazy...fried chicken, bourbon chicken, Chinese food faves, pasta, amazing sides. Red Bamboo has options for all. And my carnivorous friends love it there, too!Dietary restrictions: VEGAN“

“A very special place of warmth and true Jamaican hospitality in NYC. I have hosted several events here (3 cooking classes for students and a special pre-wedding fun "game night" party) and everyone loves generous-hearted Chef Mom, the delicious food she prepares and the wide open welcoming space. What a treat to have this gem in the middle of the city.“

“A new restaurant and bakery to the neighborhood that services Soul and Creole food. Finally had the opportunity to try it out, i ordered the Jerk Chicken lunch and Oxtail lunch with seasoned rice, candied yams and mac & cheese. Everything was delicious - i love that the meat falls off the bone of the chicken and oxtail... also the candied yams were cooked just right (not overly soggy)i was expecting bigger portions but im ok to sacrifice quantity for quality... They have a bunch of baked goods and pies that i havent tried yet. Also, they may not have everything on the menu as they are still getting going - so worth calling to see whats available that day. Im looking forward to going back and trying other plates“

“I ordered takeout from here on Seamless and got the whiting and catfish with collard greens and Mac and cheese. The food was fire. The fish is super well cooked and seasoned and you get big meaty chunks of fish. All of that cost 28$ which I think is a good deal for what you’re getting. The people inside were sweet. Will def order again.“

“Been to this place twice! Soon as we got off the bus, we headed here. Oxtail is so good! I'm not usually a persons who likes fat on their meat, but they cook and season it so well that u can't help to clean the bone. Mac & cheese is so good and the yams are so sweet! Love a sweet & savory combo. That tea was sweet & refreshing. They were out of the potatoes and chickpeas which was great last time so next time! Such a staple when touchdown.“

Please do your self a favor and go support him, you wont regret it.?????“

“We’ve had Cadence on our list of places to try for a while now, and once we knew we’d be back in the city, we had to make it happen. For starters, the restaurant is intimate without being intimidating, and the staff are all beautiful people who seem joyful and genuinely happy to celebrate their food. We started with the potato salad w pickles and the fried green tomatoes. Ordering potato salad doesn’t usually scream excitement, unless you’re my wife, then it’s basically sexy talk. Cadence’s potato salad was super creamy, deliciously tangy with the pickles, and was the night’s favorite for both of us (A+).The fried green tomatoes come with a savory romesco sauce that really rounds out the dish. I wouldn’t say it was an all-timer, but we definitely enjoyed it (B).Next, we had the buffalo oyster mushroom sandwich, which looks amazing on the plate. It’s a tower of a sandwich that’s not easy to eat without getting a little messy. The buffalo sauce and avocado set it apart (B). We followed up the buffalo sandwich with the maple buttermilk cornbread. This dish, a frequent flyer on their Instagram, is everything you want in a cornbread. Crumbly, sweet, savory, and served with a generous dollop of vegan butter that makes it waaaaay too hard stop. This was a perfect dish (A+), only drawback was we were already getting too full to eat it all. Would have preferred to have it earlier in the meal.Last, we had the lemonberry cake for dessert. Delightful. Lemony, sweet, but not overly so. A beautiful dish. The candied lemon rind was definitely a favorite for me (A).“
