“We were staying at the Marriott hotel for a wedding and decided to come here for lunch between 4 and 5:30 PM. Every single person that was working that shift needs to get a raise! We had several people come up to us and ask us if we needed anything. They didn't just bring our food over but napkins. You tentales, for the kids. They were so attentive and the sweetest people. We have ever met. We wish we lived close. We would dine here every day.“

The favorite thing I tried all night was the fried artichoke and calamari dish - omg a must try! My aunt had the cod for her entree which she loved. The portions are on the bigger side. The hostess, the staff, and Chef were all so friendly and welcoming!“

“I was in the area for a doctor's appointment and wanted to pick up some brekkie. I found Bagel Nosh close by. It was a Tuesday at around 9 am. I called ahead for pick up and my order was ready in less than 10 minutes, and piping hot. I ordered a sausage and cheese on a toasted everything wheat bagel, which hit the spot.l. Some places will only give you one sausage patty even when you don't order it with egg but this one came with two. The bagel itself was pretty good and they have more options than most places. It's a pretty heavy/greasy brekkie but you get a bang for your buck here, and it's nice for a once in a while treat.“

“I was once, several years ago (& prepandemic) down in Florida somewhere, at a Seasons 52 for dinner with friends we were visiting. I remember way back then, being impressed with seasonal vegetables, reasonably priced and reasonably sized portions. My lunch in NJ with two friends was just as good! Apparently the menu changes seasonally, hence the name. One friend had the caprese sandwich, the other had the crabcake sandwich, and I had the chicken and farro salad. All 3 were beautifully presented, well prepared, and tasty. Mine was a variety of greens, a small scoop of perfectly cooked farro, watermelon radish slices, very pretty and delicious. Normally we wouldn't have had dessert, but my friends asked our kind server, Cartier, for the dessert array. I thought it was an odd way to ask for a dessert menu...but in a few minutes, he returned with a spiral rack that held several small dishes. He described each one lovingly, but started by telling us that those weren't real, so he could touch them to demonstrate what was in each one. Three of us ordered, each a different kind! My friend told Cartier that he gave the best presentation of any time they'd been there! So I rarely take food photos in restaurants but I had to take our 3 mini desserts! And I would come here again.“

“The diner looked clean, and the booths were already set for dining. The waitress was quick and paid attention to us. The parking provided by the restaurant was full, so I had to find a local parking spot. They manage the booths well, cleaning them up when people leave. They play 90s music, which gives it a relaxed vibe. Since it's close to the high school, I believe lots of locals come here for lunch, giving it a friendly neighborhood feel. The waitress got my order in and out, and the food got out 10-12 minutes, though I just ordered a cheeseburger. The food prices seemed typical. It wasn't overpriced, and the burger tasted great!I went there during lunchtime, and it started filling quickly, but the waiter handled it pretty well! The booths give off this relaxed 80s vibe, and everything was clean despite the rush. It's an excellent spot for a quick bite, especially if you're into that nostalgic feel and are okay with the parking situation.“

I live in the city and was visiting a friend in West Orange and we decided to come try Gioia Mia, which came under new management and owner a year ago apparently. Let me tell you, the food was out of this world! I don’t think I had a better dinner in my whole entire life. They are BYOB, which I didn’t know, but they have a liquor store down the street that delivered my wine in less than 5 minutes of calling it in!!!The dinner starts with a homemade focaccia that was amazing. We also decided to step out of our shells and ordered the chicken liver mousse. When I tell you my friend would never even think about eating liver, she absolutely loved it!!! It was such a perfect pair with the strawberry rhubarb! The asparagus tabbouleh salad is also something I would have never thought would be in the same dish, and it was delicious! The scallop tiradito - oh my god. The flavors in that was perfection!!!! We then had agnolotti, malfadine, and cavatelli. The cavatelli and malfadine were on point!!! Agnolotti was also very good but out of the 3, it was my least favorite comparing how flavorful everything else was. And to end, we had a hanger steak and the pan seared scallops. The scallops were amazing!!!! And the steak was literally cooked soooooo well and how it was coated in au poivre couldn’t be more perfect.What a culinary dining experience this was. Can’t wait to come back again!!!!“

“Step into déjà vu restaurant in Garfield New Jersey and enjoy the allure of Balkan food. I started off with some great appetizers and I highly recommend the melted cheese dip. I really enjoyed the chicken rolls wrapped in bacon and stuff with provolone cheese. Don’t skip out on dessert, then Nutella and banana crêpes are homemade and a must try. I also enjoyed a very delicious strawberry margarita. The staff was very attentive, and the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. The spot is great for a girls night out, date night, a family dinner. It’s also a great spot for a celebration“

We had a meeting with the owner who was very nice and helpful towards me and my partners. The food was delicious (highly recommended penne w/ pesto) and the restaurant always has a great environment. “This place is WONDERFUL. I came here with my son after spending the afternoon at Urban Air Adventure Park. We got two half box orders of boneless thighs (original crispy and soy garlic/sweet & spicy), fries, and water. The chicken took about 15-20 minutes to cook, but it was well worth the wait. My son (the pickiest eater in the world) LOVED the boneless thighs, and even the French fries. I thought everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The flavors were all fantastic, with the soy garlic being my favorite. The fries were also some of the best fries I've ever had. Super crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The food also came with Cole slaw which was DELICIOUS, and I say this as someone who normally strays away from Cole slaw.Customer service was excellent. The woman at the front was very friendly and clear with describing the food. Their presentation was top notch also. The food was packaged beautifully and even the bag it came in was just really well designed. It was like opening a holiday gift of delicious food. I would highly recommend paying this place a visit, although you'll probably have to do take out since they have limited seating. That's probably the only downside I can think of, but they still deserve 5 stars overall“

“Bendix diner is like stepping back into time. It's nice to see an old school diner like this. Don't let it's facade fool you into thinking that the food is greasy or average. Quite the contrary, the quality of food is very good, the portions are of good size and the prices are reasonable. There are artisan hot sauces on each table and counter, the syrup is maple syrup only but with cool flavors like Madagascar vanilla, cinnamon, habanero and others. Also the tea, they use premium tea leaves. All of that struck me as odd in a good way. The owner John and his son Michael are wonderful. They are attentive and provide good service. Their food is excellent. I had a turkey club there that rivaled 4 star hotel restaurants. It's truly a hidden gem“

“When my 5 yr old wants hot dogs randomly i thought of hanks franks from passing by so many times. Why not try it? You get a mom and pop feel. We ordered 2 dogs 1 with ketchup and 1 with cheese and cheesy fries. I have a gluten sensitivity so I took a small bite of the dog and it's great even my lil Eva ate all her fries and the rest of the hot dog. I would definitely go back!“

“Always such a delight to eat at Friendly’s considering how many they closed up. Never go wrong with a Patty Melt( it was taken off the menu for a while but happy to see it back) , a fishamajig melt, or a BBQ tenders melt. Then to finish off with a sundae with the best peanut butter sauce . Our server Harvey is always the greatest . We only visit a few times a year but always remembers us and greets us with such enthusiasm. Highly recommended !“
