“Please please please stop coming here all of you folks who don’t care about the care that this place is bringing to you.Make a reservation.Respect the process. This place is gorgeous and is the reason we drink (or the reason drinking is joyful and not just a slow decline).Table side sazerac or martini. Enjoy. Live.TIP THE STAFF! They’re essentially making you a Disneyland level illusion. Not the space which is *chefs kiss* but the movement of the staff. Slow. Intentional. Well educated in past and current manners.Truly this place is special and will stay special if talk show up like you’re in booze church.Put on an outfit goddamnit. Flirt w the bartenders. “Great food and staff went above and beyond for a special request. We jokingly asked if they could make onion rings for a friend at our table. We had the best onion rings ever, along with my favorite pork dish in a LONG time. Great night, don’t sleep on Gus’s.“

“Wonderful experience all around. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive. It was very helpful when it came to suggesting pairings. The wine and cocktail list is great. The food was really excellent. I recommend the Amberjack and Hamachi collar. Dessert, we had the mezcal flan. 10s across the board.“

“While the restaurant has closed they are operating as a food truck. Please check their Instagram to see their daily location. Lately they have been in bed stuy. This review is for my visit over the summer. We went on a Sunday and received the following: seafood mac n cheese; hot honey oxtail sliders; blueberry cornbread and the Cater 2 U which has salmon, shrimp and crab cakes. No complaints on the food, the portion size or the customer service. Everyone is always nice. I've only met the male owner during my visits and he is the best! Sad to see the restaurant go but happy to see that they are still making food. Definitely check them out when you can.“

“Everyone is right, the service is very good! All the seafood was large and fresh. Meats were good. Even the drinks were part of the AYCE and I feel like they rarely are at these types of places. Totally worth it! Go early as it gets crowded later at into the evening.“

“Love this place! The sushi is so fresh and tasty. And reasonably priced. Free green tea pudding with Yelp check in! The pudding is topped with a spoonful of sweetened red beans. A delicious dessert! My favorite is salmon and here, it's melt in your mouth fresh and yummy. My favorite dish here is the Salmon Lover. It's salmon four ways plus a side of kani salad with some roe on top. Thick generous portions of sashimi, also has sushi, salmon avocado roll, and a grilled salmon collar (when available, otherwise you get 2 pieces of salmon belly). This place is so good, in one week, I went 3 times and still not tired of it. Not crazy about the chicken kaarage. The pieces are too small so when fried, it becomes dry and loses its juicy tenderness. Tried some skewers. A tad on the dry side. I'd stick with the sushi. Though the skewers were very popular with the kids at the table. Service. Attentive. Tea constantly being refilled. Decor. It's a small place. Lots of wood decor. The space is narrow with seating to the left and right. In front, a few private mini booth rooms covered with a curtain, line the side of the restaurant. These can seat up to 4 people. There is also a small party room downstairs. In the back, you can sit in front of the sushi chefs if you like, at a high counter.“

“A full 5 star review for many reasons! Dim Sum was AMAZING. Buns were filled with meat, airy, hot, and very tasty. The vegetarian in our group ordered dry noodles with vegetables which seems to contain three different types of mushrooms, and tasted heavenly. Tea was hot and filled often. Service was impeccable. GREAT experience. And one of our group is Asian and has high expectations! We can't wait to return.“

“Pretty good po boys quality wise. I just recommend that they should get some horse radish for the po boys like how it's done in NOLA. I really liked the catfish Po boy, but had to go to the supermarket to get my own horse radish. Sandwich is delicious though, albeit a bit smaller than a hero.“

“Easily one of the best omakase in the city. The otsumami was fantastic, and I really the nigiri. The rice is very unique. Loved the flavor. It’s also a perfect ambiance. High end but relaxed. People talking and laughing. Not the silent / formal vibe you get at some spots in Tokyo and nyc. (Which I always find kinda weird)“

“My favorite ramen joint in New York! Go here on a jazz night if you can, because the ambience with the artists is even more incredible. This is my 3rd time here, and while everything is great, I’d specifically recommend: spicy ramen, spicy tsukemen, oysters mp, and mango kakigori. Between the freshly made noodles and flavorful broths, all of the noodle dishes are the perfect cozy meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the oysters, which came with a yuzu mint vinaigrette that added a bright vibrancy to each oyster. Don’t shy away from getting dessert the end! The shaved ice is a great way to end on a refreshing note without feeling bogged down by sugar. Note that this place fills up quick, so reserve in advance or come early to beat the wait. “Drove by this place several times. Got invited to celebrate friends birthday and I. Can say it was a good experience. Very quick and friendly service by the staff and the owner. I didnt order anything as my friend did all the guessing work away from me, which was good. The seafood was fresh, very tasty. Enjoyed the crab, shrimps, mussels. They also have a full bar which I couldn't resist. I didn't do mixed drinks but variety for tequila and vodka was outstanding for the place.“

“Yes, yes and more yes! We had a wonderful evening here. It hit all of the elements- ambiance, food and service- out of the park. They were so accommodating towards us. We enjoyed the mussels as a starter just to switch it up. It was a wonderful choice. Bread and sauce were delicious. We tried a number of their signature drinks including the pistachio which was unique and very good. The servers were helpful, personable, kind and of course my favorite- present without being overbearing. The short ribs were delectable with very tasty fries. The steak was perfectly cooked. I was afraid that I would still feel hungry since it was served with just a salad but the balance was perfect and I ended up feeling satisfied. We kept off the night with a sweet touch of soft served vanilla ice cream. A perfect way to end a lovely evening.“

“Honestly, I used to think this place was the bomb. But for those who have never tried Umi Hotpot Sushi and Seafood Buffet, you should. There are different locations of Umi and for about $40 per person there are a variety of seafood options along with other kinds of food. There was a brand new opening of Umi on Staten Island a few weeks ago. Its address is 1001 Goethals Road N. There are fresh oysters, clams, drunken crawfish and regular crawfish, stone crabs, snow crab legs, sushi, lobsters, clams, variety of small dishes, and so much more. It's just not worth the $80 anymore for the crabhouse. A lot of the seafood at the crabhouse is cooked in very heavy sauces and there's just not enough variety of food. $80 is not cheap, when it used to be $55 after the pandemic lockdown. I used to go to the Manhattan location. There's also another Umi location in Sheepshead Bay. I've never been to that one before, but the one on Staten Island is bound to have the freshest food options since it just opened not long ago“

“Right off the bat, the customer service is friendly and upbeat. Which is not the norm at Jamaican restaurants. Everyone knows that lol. So that stands out.The jerk chicken rice and peas oxtail gravy is my go to. Atleast 3 times this week . The portion is plentiful for the price hence why I keep going back . Taste is on point .I also tried there wings . Very flavourful . They have a few selection of flavors , I tasted the honey garlic ??. I plan on trying the rest .“

“It’s all about the prawns. Giant, jumbo sized almost as big as a lobster. Buttery, rich, huge grilled prawns.I’ve also had and can recommend:- larb with fried duck skin- rib eye- soft shell crab curryBut again it’s the giant prawn that steals the show. They even have a giant blue prawn in the back of the restaurant hanging from the ceiling. It’s a sign. Get the prawns.“

“Wow! Truly wow’d by this place. New chef Sunny is doing something really great here. The food program is wonderful, we had the Hwe, Spicy Tuna Hand Rolls, and Mochi Cake. The hand rolls are great, tuna delicious! $9 each, so not cheap but definitely a tasty bite. The Hwe was extremely delicious, think of it as Korean poke. The lemon gochujang was very nice, and not overpoweringly spicy. It had a really nice crunch factor as well, everything was definitely well thought out in the dish. We also got their dessert which was told to us by our server, who was great BTW. It was so good!Food fantastic, wine fantastic, service fantastic, music fantastic. I will be back here soon.“

“One of my favourite South-Asian restaurants in NYC. I’ve been coming here for years. “What an amazing dinner we were participating in. It started with a flower that exploded our taste buds through all the variety of sea creatures and sea plants prepared various ways to a light but scrumptious bread pudding and ice cream made with 3 waters. All the dishes were presented like works of art accompanied in artistic dishes. It was most definitely a wild to table experience. Highly recommend. (only allowed 10 photos. “Welcoming our best friends from Virginia at Pilot was a fantastic experience. The vintage boat on Pier 6 offered a charming setting, and the seafood, especially the oysters, was a hit. With a variety of wines and cocktails to choose from, we enjoyed a delightful evening. The added bonus of a downtown Manhattan view enhanced the overall atmosphere.Just a heads up for friends prone to seasickness - the boat's gentle sway is part of the adventure. “I ordered delivery for lunch and the Combo Platter included fried Cod (2), Whiting (2) Fish and 6 Shrimps was an unexpected surprise for $21.00. Lunch arrived in extremely well wrapped sustainable card board boxes and it was hot when I took the container out the bag. The Cod fish and Whiting fish were crispy, that's important to me. I like fried fish however I do not like it "hard" fried which means to me it can arrive hard or even burned. I've had that experience in the past but not at that restaurant, this fish was crispy and light. The shrimps were also crispy, large, and seasoned well. The Olde Bay French Fries were just as tangy as it sounds. Great condiments at your request. No pics because I was at work trying to make all this flow within 45-30 minutes, definitely worth it. I found a small neighborhood business, extremely convenient, and delivers a great lunch via the Yelp app on those days when you can't get out of the office. I heard they not only cook fresh fish, but they also sell fresh fish. I'm looking forward to visiting soon.“

“Food is good but they don’t honor reservations. Made a reservation for my mom’s bday specifically so it would be seamless for a 70 year old, but after checking in, I was told it would be 30 minutes. What’s the point of accepting reservations when it won’t be honored?“

“I’ve never done a review before, but me and my partner had an amazing time here tonight. Just stopped by to have a couple drinks and a snack before heading home. The server, I’m not sure of his name but he was a server in the front section by the bar Wednesday around 8pm. He was incredibly knowledgeable of the wine list and knew all the details about the food we were served. The food runner ran thru each item on the food. Just incredible service. The server picked a fantastic wine I wouldn’t usually go for. The atmosphere was fire. Food 10/10. Recently moved to the area and we’ll be regulars now. Couldn’t rate this place higher. Oh and I also want to mention my partner called ahead and didn’t catch the host, but they called her back in like 1 minute and managed to squeeze us in. You’re running a tight ship!“
