“I ? Buunni. Proprietors, Sarina and Elias, live in and care about our community. They are so much more than local successful business owners. They serve wonderful Ethiopian coffee and now fresh delicious Ethiopian food! They host neighborhood events and support local artists. Can't say enough about them and their cafe! Congratulations on earning a Nextdoor "neighborhood fave" award. ☕??“

“The coffee here is just consistently so good. Had a bike trip recently and stayed around their E 20th St location for a couple of weeks. Would often ride by and get a good fix any time of the day. They only serve Colombian coffee and their beans are always fresh, always just ‘days old’ before it gets in your cup. Super good. Now that I’m away I think about this coffee every day.“

“The best coffee in my opinion in the neighborhood. The beans are freshly roasted, ground and poured. It has great operating hours, it catches the early riser and the late night coffee drinker. The pastries they have are delicious, and staff is friendly.“

“When you walk in, you will be greeted by everyone behind the counter. The energy they created in the space is amazing. There’s lots of areas to sit and have a coffee, or do work. If you’re in the area and need a pit stop to rest your feet, or just good vibes, this is the place to be!“

“TL:DR - great food, cozy space, beverages are hit or miss depends what you get. 4 stars. David the barista is great! 58th st location.Details:Service 5/5 - shoutout to David for the exceptional customer service. super cramped in here but it's kind of cozy. They have wifi but it's super intimately spaced and I feel like I'm going to break my neck on those stairs, this place is short people friendly.Food: tastiest chicken Empanada I've had in awhile that isn't from the Criollos chain. It was juicy without being wet and flavorful. Wepa!!!!Drinks: my buddy got the Tres Leche and I had fomo because that thing was GOOOD. Drank half of hers lol. I got an iced Coquito latte because I'm a sweaty human even in winter and it helped regulate my temp but the taste was just OK. Her drink was hot and I was happy to sweat for it.Note: the iced drinks come in those clear bags with a straw like when Covid started allowing people to drink out of plastic bags from bars. We went to pick her kid up from tennis and I looked like an unhinged day drinker trying to relive spring break.Misc: Stopped by with a buddy to wait for tennis to let out over on 1st ave. Got a chicken Empanada, a Tres leche coffee and a coquito *flavored* latte. ( they have actual spirit infused stuff but i didn't get that).“

“Great coffee, tranquil atmosphere and amazing customer service! Maria helped me out, she was very patient with me and guided me through the menu to choose the best coffee for myself. I got the dulce de leche served in a bag and it was fantastic. The atmosphere was peaceful and the store has great air ventilation, keeping the customers cool like a cucumber during this summer weather! 10/10!“

“This is the first time I stopped in the cafe for just a Horchata Latte but the café mixologist who was knowledgeable about the bean recommended a Rum infused with notes of cinnamon and dark chocolate - non alcoholic of course. The first sip had a robust favor of horchata but a mild hint of rum infusion. I recommend any coffee lover to stop by for a cup of exquisite hot or cold coffee beans flown in directly from Puerto Rico!“

“Such a great experience I had this morning at 787 Coffee! The barista was super welcoming and excited to walk me through the options available to order. I ended up walking away with a coquito latte and banana bread both equally delicious! Can’t wait to go back.“

“Nice cosy coffee shop with plenty of seating out back. Had a latte, which felt a little weaker than I would have liked. I imagine perhaps the beans were a lighter roast which maybe would have been a lot better as a pour over. Maybe if you are getting a latte or milky coffee, opt for an extra shot if you want it a bit stronger.“

“Coffee was exceptional! Best we've had in New York. The Barissta, was friendly and genuine. One of the highlights of our New York holiday was meeting Marcella - one of the locals, a legend, an incredible woman who clearly is a beautiful and enigmatic soul. Loved it all. Grateful and thankful to you all.Loved Harlem❤️“

“10/10 recommend!! 787 Coffee is an amazing place to stop for a great latte. The coquito latte with rum infused beans was delicious! Alex helped me out here today and was such a pleasure and very informative about the coffee and the spot, so much so I bought a bag of the rum infused coffee. Can’t wait to make lattes at home, but I will definitely be a regular here. Great thing they have so many locations across the city ;)“
“Wonderful iced latte! lovely staff, delish little breads and donuts.“

“Ordered a latte since I’ve been meaning to check out most coffee places in Greenwich Village. It was good, and I’m impressed by the decent pricing. Better pricing than other coffee shops nearby. The quality was good. The only drawback would be that it isn’t just a coffee shop, and as a result, coffee isn’t the main focus of their business. So if you just want coffee, perhaps there other places will satisfy your needs. This is more deli-like. ?“

“Vegans rejoice for an exciting new plant milk, a HOUSEMADE nut milk! I felt personally attended to from the staff in a way that is rare for New York City's chic coffee spots. Plus my drinks were great both times I went! The interior design alone is gorgeous enough to spend an entire afternoon admiring.Vegetarian options: Plant milks are available, including a housemade nut blend milk! (May be subject to surcharge, I am unsure.)Dietary restrictions: Plant milks are available!“

“A takeout specialty store. I had a latte and an Americano and both were very good. The coffee was moderately strong, and as the store promotes it as a specialty, the acidity and heavy coffee taste are well balanced. It's one of the best coffees I've personally ever had. The price wasn't bad since New York is so expensive. I don't think New York's service is that friendly compared to other areas, but that's about it. It's not a friendly place, but it's not an unfriendly place either.“
“Dropped in to the Chelsea location 2 weeks ago while vacationing in NYC. Great coffee, great atmosphere, great price. What’s not to like?“

“Small space, perfect for a quick stop. Both the drip and the cortado we had were amazing! And I would definitely recommend the lemon honey cornbread slice, it was delicious! The drinks already come standard with oat milk, but that would've been our choice anyway, so it worked great!“

“I’m from Michigan & my husband found this coffee company online. We ordered it & it’s so smooth & delicious. So when I planned a trip to NY to see my favorite band perform twice over the weekend, I bet I made a trip to see them in person & stock up. Highly recommend Gotham Coffee if in town or to order online & ship to your home. Diner Coffee is perfect when you just need a great cup of Joe!“

“We stumbled upon this place, realizing it’s a place we were years ago. Service is still great, coffee still amazing. No flat white on the menu, but the Cortado is equally delish. Oat milk they serve is Oatley. And today, our take away coffee was made with a bit of extra love, see picture. Thanks guys, love it.“

“This location is an absolute favorite of mine to experience not only for the clean and triumphant environment, but the aspirational, healthy team of interdependent leaders. There’s a vibe here of accountability for the sake of the weakest link; meaning? the co-workers here in 2024 have each other’s backs. Ask for Day and watch the sun rise. Catch up with Elliot welcome the best crystallize. It’s not a challenging offer to come here, but just know that while you might have to wait in a longer than average line to get your drink? It doesn’t take long at all and there’s a level of precision and accuracy that is bound to leave you impressed. Go here. Bath on bottom is a great concept for enhanced speed.“
“Found this gem just across from our hotel on 45th NYC, delightful delicious cappuccino! Definitely make this one of your stops when you are in NYC.“

“Love this place! Stumptowns always incredible but this specific location is honestly my favorite. I just wish they had more seatings, because they’re usually taken up so quickly. But other than that, lovely place to sit down, have a good cup of espresso and read a book“

“Joe Coffee. I’ve found a sense of community, and home, at the location on 68th and Columbus.I’ll run through the operational stuff first.Food: The vegan peanut butter cookies are phenomenal. It can be a challenge for me to sit in the shop without having one of the cookies. There’s a new cookie available featuring dark chocolate and cherries. Also a great cookie! Friends have really enjoyed trying other things on the menu, especially the scones and the breakfast tacos.Drinks: I’m usually a pretty consistent, simple drink person. So: The espresso is always a great option. I’ll occasionally do a cortado – and it’s always been a great option. Joe Coffee has a bi-annual drink competition for their staff. It’s a very cool experience to see the staff-created drinks that are placed on the menu. But beyond that, I really appreciate the energy, passion, and creativity that folks put into designing drinks. It’s a unique energy, especially at the location on 68th and Columbus. So, that’s the food and the drinks. Coffee and snacks are widely available across the city. What sets Joe Coffee apart? It’s the people.I’ve had so many great conversations and shared laughs with the team – and the regulars - at Joe on 68th/Columbus. The conversations and the laughs are the signs of a sense of a strong, warm, and welcoming community at 68th and Columbus. It starts with Chrystal, multi-unit manager. She brings an incredible amount of experience, expertise, and insight to her stores. She’s brought a team of stellar people into the location on 68th and Columbus. Chrystal’s experience and strong sense on culture shows in the warmth and welcoming feeling that’s always present at the 68th and Columbus location. This has such a profound impact in a place like New York. The team at 68th and Columbus is operationally excellent – the drinks are always good, and the team is great for recommendations if I want to try something new. But it’s the sense of community that keeps me so happy to be at the shop. You can teach skills, but you truly can’t teach personality – especially the genuine, great personalities at Joe on 68th and Columbus.“
