“Jajaja Mexicana was a nice surprise that came from a quick search in the city. The atmosphere was amazing and our servista was a doll. The food was an exciting experience and lived up to the hype. I would definitely go back there and tell friends about it.“

“Food was great! I got carne asada tacos and split some nachos with friends! I normally don’t order carne asada tacos because I’ve had some with overly chewy meat but these were super yummy! I only wish the price included some rice and refried beans is my only comment. The nachos were good as well. Our waitress was polite as well. The music playing was really enjoyable too. Will def be back“

“We came here on the recommendation of a friend and even with her glowing review, we were still blown away! Every dish was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were a steal. Our family had the truffle quesadillas, the carne asada tacos, and the langosta tacos. We shared an order of guac and the kids had the flan and churros for dessert. Great dinner; we can't wait to return!“

“I cannot sing the praises of this place and the staff enough! We had a long day at the museum and we were all starving and the kids were very cranky. We took forever trying to find a place that they would all find something to eat at but that place didn't work out so we came here not realizing how lucky we were. After having a quick glance at the menu I realized two of my children would probably not eat anything. Two of the ladies that work there helped us work it out to piece together a meal for them with components they already have. It took quite a while figuring everything out but they were patient and helpful. The food was outstanding and the cocktails and mocktails were phenomenal. I wish I lived closer because this would be a regular place for me. Highly recommend!“

“Needed some late night tacos, didn’t expect much, totally blown away. These were better than any sit-down restaurant I’ve been to in ages. Perfect portion, tons of flavor in the chicken, friendly guys, fantastic price. Total hidden gem.“

“Wow. Amazing food and even better service! With so much great food in NYC, it's hard to pick a favorite but our dinner there last night may just be the best meal we've had this trip. Our daughter wanted Mexican for her birthday so we settled on Casa Bocado as it is connected to our hotel. Being from out of town, and staying in a hotel, we hadn't procured a cake for her but when the staff found out it was her birthday, they went completely out of their way to make it special!! We will definitely return to Casa Bocado!!“

“Top 5 burrito place for sureeee. This place is awesome. Unassuming location but the burritos are legit. Started by a San Diego transplant, you can't go wrong with any of the burritos.I tried the Conga with the chicken asado and it was so good I came back the next day for another one. Will have to try the California burrito next time for good measure. The burrito itself isn't overstuffed (like at Chipotle or another fast casual chain) where it's busting out the seams and the fillings are so nice and balanced. The salsa that comes on the side (make sure to get extra!) is also an awesome accompaniment. Couldn't be more satisfied with these burritos and will be back for sure“

“We popped in here on a whim after a show and I was pleasantly surpised! Excellent, elevated Mexican cuisine, all the dishes we had were outstanding! Great guac to start with homemade tortilla chips followed by an amazing tuna truffle tostada and langostine tacos. Even the elote side was was awesome with such great flavors. We caught them at the end of the night so service was patchy, but look forward to giving them another try for the amazing food.“

“Small taco house but taste good. I passed by chance and it’s afternoon. Start with beef taco first and taste good so decide to have burrito bowl to complete my meal. They have small seating space in front of the shop that you can sit to enjoy your meal. Credit card accepted. “

“This place was awesome!! I asked how long takeout would be, and the very kind host said he could make it extra fast. the food was ready in literally under 7 minutes, it was wild!! and delicious! got cheese enchiladas and quesadillas. the vibes inside were great, the decor was stylish - I hope to go back when i’m in less of a rush so I can enjoy the restaurant to the fullest, and try the drinks :)“
“lovely hidden gem on Avenue A between 13th and 14th streets. The place is family owned and operated and the food is to do for. It is reasonably priced, I often find myself trying to figure out if I want a tamale or a shredded beef or pork taco.“

“High praise to the team here for dealing with a mentally disturbed person/unfortunate incident with poise and positivity. The manager Steven checked in on our table to make sure we were still enjoying our experience and had us all laughing, it was a sight to see him work the room. Our server Rosie could not have been kinder or more attentive, she is a sweetheart and the service was perfect start to finish. Also the Talyuda is so good!!“

“Mexican food easily shines at street level, and fine dining. It's tough navigating the mid level. Expectations are for familiarity and wow, especially superior produce. Everything here was ok, but not really elevated. Nothing to pique your interest or ask what this was, or how to make that. The dessert was the exception. The corn cake was delicious and mysterious. No idea how they got it so light. The service was solid, without any wow, and the place is clean and charming.Vegetarian options: Good choices“

“Great!! As someone who grew up in TX, I’m usually disappointed in Manhattan’s Mexican food options, but this is actually authentic and delicious! The consumé in particular was phenomenal. Only way this could be better is if they also sold horchata or tamarindo aquas frescas?“

“This restaurant is phenomenal. The food is fantastic! So much so that we came on Cinco de Mayo and waited for a table just to get in. They do have 2 for 1 specials on drinks, but otherwise no other deals or happy hour specials. The seating is well spaced considering the restaurant is smaller. Being able to see into the kitchen as they make the food makes it that much tastier. I really feel connected when I can see them fresh pressing the tortillas ? It's very cool. I will say, the fish taco was my least favorite of the foods we ate. I felt like the actual fish got lost under the delicious sauce and well seasoned breading. It was overall tasty, but I wasn't getting much fish flavor with all the other stuff going on. Regardless, EVERYTHING we ate was BOMB and we will be back!Ate: guacamole, pulpo, tacos- fish, birria, al pastor“

“Discovered this beautiful cafe with equally beautiful boulangerie and pâtisserie products. The flaky croissants and the pain au raisin was to die for! We bought a box to bring to other family members. They were so reasonably priced with the size and authenticity compared to lesser known cafes for the Michelin quality JG has. The patisserie was not yet open at 9:15am but the security was so friendly and welcoming, he allowed me to take photos of the cookies to satisfy the Cookie Monster in me. He suggested a few other treats to try. What a lovely employee to have! We shall return tomorrow.“

“Came here for a drink Saturday afternoon. This place definitely has a vibe. Cool mural on the wall and even on the ceiling. You order everything from the bar and seat yourself. It does get loud when it’s busy and when people raised their voice. They have a great selection of draft beer, draft cider and draft wine. The price are really reasonable. Menu isn’t big but has good Mexican food selections. Happy hour only weekdays 4-7pm“

“The tacos were delicious. Just pick one. You won’t be disappointed. It’s more of a take out place. A few tables inside and out. The people working there seemed like they all had a gun to their head. No napkins in the dispenser and there was no hurry to fill it although a steady stream of customers were in and out. It happens I guess. Take out is the way here.“

“Food/Service/Atmosphere are all 3s but giving it a 5 anyways because when you need Taco Bell, Taco Bell is there. Taco Bell is like that one friend you don't hangout with much until it's time for a night out. When you go out and go too hard, he's taking care of you while you're regretting that one extra shot. You're thankful he took care of you when you weren't feeling good, but honestly would've just been better to not go out and stay in.“

“My team and I came here for a happy hour after work and had a great experience! I worked with the events manager to coordinate a drink package, platter order, and the space for 40 people ahead of time. Night of, the service, drinks, and food were amazing and we had so much fun. Definitely consider for a group / team event! We will be back.“

“From the moment we stepped in, the service was excellent, adding to the overall fantastic experience. The corn, acclaimed as the best in New York, lived up to its reputation and left us wanting more. And let's not forget the frozen margarita which was also very good although could have been a bit more booze forward.“

“I can’t emphasize enough how much we absolutely love BIRRIA LES. Perfect tacos, perfect service, perfect vibes, all at a perfect price. We probably come here once a week, and the food is consistently delicious. The dumplings are juicy and flavorful- it’s my favorite thing on the menu. And it’s all halal! Wide variety of options too. If you’re in the city, it’s a must stop and have situation. Like, MUST. So slay. Also, we love Sumaita; staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. She’s like, Super Slay. They are also open late btw. Anyway, I dream about it in an earnest but also a very critical way. Not even a joke. So yeah you should definitely try it!“

“I had a crispy fish taco (which was delicious), a steak taco (which I didn't care for), & nachos & guacamole (which was just okay). I love mexican cuisine, but this restaurant didn't do it for me, & here is why. They don't have traditional margaritas. They don't use tequila to make their margaritas. They use wine or something that was just weird to me. I tried it, & didn't like it. They don't give you sour cream with your steak tacos. When I asked one of the guys about this, he said that's only at taco bells. I just laughed, because one I don't eat taco bells. Two, I've been to serval Mexican restaurants, that have sour cream, & the chucky salsa. Anyhow, I had a Mexican pineapple soda, that was pretty tasty. The employees there was super friendly. The waitress that had my table was nice & attentive.I'm sure they have other delicious items on their menu, but I don't like the fact, that I would have to go somewhere else to have a cocktail. With that being said; I will go back to try other food items on their menu.“

“Mayamezcal is a super cute, intimate spot in the East Village for hand-crafted tequila cocktails & delicious food!! My friends and I sat at the bar after coming across this spot while wandering around the East Side, and I'm so glad we did! The bartenders took great care of us + the vibes inside this place were immaculate during our visit. For appetizers, the Maya Nachos were my favorite (the muenster cheese really makes it)!!“

“Went to Superbueno after the Bad Bunny conocer with my friends. We were able to be seated ride away, our drinks were tasty and pork belly tacos savory, rich with flavor. My mouth is legit watery thinking back about it. The music and vibe was popping. But what stood out to me the most was the service and workers, they looked like they enjoyed working there, all smiles and friendly. I love that. Would definitely come back!“
