“Definitely lived up to the social media hype and no doubt best tavern burger in Queens. One can choose any burger on their extensive burger menu with a side of fries or onion rings for less than 20 bucks, it’s a deal I’m willing to sign up for every day.We went on a Thursday late afternoon and place was energetic and lively, just what you expect from a well-known busy tavern. I can only imagine what it’s like on weekends when they have live band.Donovan’s is the real deal.“

“I have been coming here for over 10+ years and the only regret i have is not leaving this review sooner. I absolutely love this bar. Its everything you can ask for when coming to either have a nice refreshing drink or munch out. The staff treat you like family and i would not replace this place for any other. By the way, if you’re a burger type of person, do yourself a favor and order the woodside burger. You can thank me later by ordering me a whiskey shot.“
“A warm inviting Irish bar with- surprise! A beautiful stage set up with wonderful sound man and of course-Sunday nights the treat is seeing legendary music promoter FRANK WOOD work his magic.Another surprise - the bar regulars actually come to the back room to listen to the music! Friendly crowd , nice bartenders, generous drinks! Easily accessible from R train- come visit this gem of a bar!“

“My boyfriend and I love coming here. The ambience is always amazing and the waitress is so nice and always so attentive. We have eaten at Jack Jones on five different occasions and each time the food was amazing. There is nothing bad to say about this bar, the food and atmosphere is great and I will definitely continue to return.“

“Authentic Irish pub experience. No tourist trap no thrills proper Irish pub in New York. If you want the Irish pub experience look no further. With the best staff excellent prices. Look no further than Geordies joint. Worth the tip out of the city.“

“Great dive bar right next to the 30th St subway stop. When my friends and I noticed they had $3 PBRs, we were sold. Bartender also gave us a buyback on our 3rd beer! Too bad they didn't serve any food though. Very mixed crowd of all ages. They have bands on weekends sometimes and I noticed they had a sign indicating live Bluegrass Sundays. If they ever got a jukebox that only played Irish and bluegrass music, then I would give them 5 stars. But, had to take away a star for the crappy music some people were playing on the jukebox.“

“Absolutely immaculate vibes. Great to watch sports, hang out, grab drinks. Asad is so friendly and kind and really makes this bar a must go-to. I can’t recommend enough! Also, I’ve been coming on Premier league Saturday mornings and Asad has been giving us small bowls of popcorn, which is so thoughtful!“
“One of my favorite bars ever! The ambiance is amazing, old school Irish pub. The bartender Seamus was not only easy to talk to we were on vacation and got a lot of pointers from him as well... 100% will go back on my next trip to Astoria. I definitely recommend this pub for good beers and peaceful conversations...“

“The Tavern is an Astoria classic, a warm, friendly bar that's always a pleasure to stop by. Marc is the man, if he's working, he's my favorite bartender in Queens. I miss the barrel of peanuts from before 2020, not sure if they'll come back, but it is what it is. I have many great memories of trivia nights, watching sports, and St Patrick's Days here, and I hope they're here for many years to come. A proper Guinness pour too!“

“One of my favorite places in queens! Appetizers here are the BEST! Especially the fried ravioli and spinach mozzarella sticks. The staff is always so friendly and attentive, the drinks are so good. The place itself is a little small but very cute. You always have a good time here!“
“Very cozy and common. For being located so close to Wall St, this is ideal place if you don’t want to overspend and get a good cozy atmosphere without feeling like you are out of place for not wearing a shirt and ordering some 20 ingredient cocktail.“

“We had a nice time.. food was good too. Lil bit loud for only maybe 10 ppl inside. It turned out it was the only burger place around.. we didn't want micky Ds or BK or Wendys.. we wanted real food ..Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor no steps..“

“I got the Shepards pie to go and it was delicious. It was a good portion size with a lot of flavor. They gave me an Irish soda bread roll as well which hit the spot. The staff I spoke with were very friendly and the decor was charming. I'm definitely going to come back and dine in.“

“Loved visiting this place with a friend for brunch! The food was great for the price and it has such a cozy vibe. The drinks are a good price as well during brunch and I would love to come back again alone or with friends. It’s small and the seating is a bit tight but it’s a good place to hang out. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area! The brunch burger was delicious and cooked how I like it but the main star for me were the truffle fries.“
