“I visited Hibiscus Cafe less than an hour before closing on a Sunday evening. The café was really busy, and everyone (including myself) was ordering complicated drinks. A few folks ordered things that required ingredients that were out, and something like that could throw anyone off their game at the end of their shift. However, the woman working was handling everything so smoothly and efficiently, and she was just plain awesome. My matcha latte was also delicious! I can’t wait to go back!“

“I work 12 hour shifts near here and I’m always soooo tired halfway through. I come here for a quick pick me up. The lady behind the counter is the absolute sweetest, drinks aside- she always lightens my mood. The açaí bowls are to die for- not mid. I’ve tried so many spots in Astoria and Vela is consistently yummy. Today. I went in for a milk tea and they ran out of boba. She went an extra mile to charge me for a medium despite me ordering a large! Soooo sweet. ??“

“Visited for the first time today and fell in love. Decor is beautiful as long as you like blue, vibe is relaxed, food really delicious. I had an omelette with asparagus shallots and feta and it was fresh ingredients perfectly cooked. Home fries and toast were top quality. “I called the restaurant today on my daughter’s birthday (2/26/24) to ask for a table for 5 people including two children. I was told there’s not enough seating for everyone but they would gladly accommodate us at the event space next door. I agreed. My family arrived at around 6 and the two ladies took our order and Yvonne took a few minutes to prepare the table for us. When she led us into the room we were so delighted and astounded! The place was so beautifully decorated, and she managed it in a very short time! All the food was delicious! She made my daughter feel so special, she danced with the girls and helped cut the cake! I was very lucky and blessed to have been given this wonderful memory! It was such a pleasure to meet Yvonne, she is so sweet and has such a good heart! “I never physically been here I order on uber eats but let me tell you, the team here is the sweeeeetest. I called a million times for their mango crepe cake (to die for) and they politely told me it wasn't ready everytime I called. “Love this place! I work in the area and was searching for a juice bar and found this place. Food is always hot and delicious. Staff are friendly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Great place to bring your laptop, get some work done, and enjoy delicious bites. If you are in a rush and ordering food, I'd suggest ordering in advance because sometimes the food takes longer than expected. My favorites are the salmon sandwich, patties, and spinach waffles. “I ordered a chai latte on a Saturday at 12:30 PM. It was perfect flavor, sweetness and temperature. I got it with almond milk. I brought in a bagel from another place. However, I saw that they also sell bagels and I heard people ordering an egg sandwich as well as other items, I also noticed they have healthy shakes as well. Since I live nearby I got a punchcard and I hope to visit soon. I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty positive that it's Latin owned possibly female owned as well. There's not too much seating, I believe there's three tables of two inside and two tables outside. Luckily, not too many people stay for long periods of time I was able to stay for two hours, talking to my friend with no problem.“

“Absolutely great time at my son's favorite Italian restaurant in Brooklyn. The food was fantastic - salad, margherita pizza and I had the Cacio y Pepe and it was great. I tried the gnocchi and pacheri were also really good too. Service was great and the negroni delightful. “Great food and great service! The Dukaan Boys grill is a not-so-average fusion diner, serving classic American dishes with Arab and South Asian flavors. The diner is designed to give you that "NYC diner" feel. The aesthetic is chic and very modern with hints of vintage here and there (like their jukebox and black and white photo of the Brooklyn bridge). I love that they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner! My sweet tooth really wanted to get those baklava pancakes but I'll have to come back for it another time. Instead, I went with savory this time around... I got the chicken and beef shawarma platter, the chicken cheese sandwich, their amazing fries, beef and lamb kofta burger, and iced coffee. All the food was tasty! The shawarma platter hit the spot. For me, I would have loved more meat. But nonetheless, I loved it. The chicken cheese sandwich was seasoned so well. I could see myself eating this late at night with such satisfaction... I took my leftovers home so I probably will. lol. The kofta burger is as you would expect it to be! Delicious and giving you kebab feels. The coffee was strong... just how I like it! There is an alternative milk option if you don't drink dairy like me. There's also different syrups to try in your coffee like vanilla, hazelnut, and almond. They also have flavored creamers like caramel, almond joy, and Cinnabon. “This is my second review and after about 6 months I want to commend The Green Juice Bar for continuing to update their model to fit the neighborhood. They've been making incremental improvements and the place looks great. They are now serving lovely pastries, coffee, snacks and they are now expanding their hours. We walked by on a Saturday night and stopped in for a freshly squeezed orange juice and it was a perfect drink. They've remodeled the space putting in more lighting and seats so it's much more welcoming and visually inviting. “I stand by my local delis! Working on 5th Ave midtown there are not many bodega type deli options close by, only overpriced tourist type joints. This place has saved the day. Stocked with just about every drink you could want, I’ve reached the peak of deli ordering where I no longer have to say my order, just call and they recognize my voice and know my order. Service like this is a gem in a land that can feel easy to be lost in. Quality breakfast sandwiches, drink and sand which usually around $10 which is great for midtown. Open till 12 most days with the grill not closing. Literally everything I can ask for, owner and his brother are very nice people and always behind the grill willing to put in the work when busy.
