“We always buy cake from this place to celebrate some special occasion, their mille crepe is the best, especially the seasonal chestnut flavoured, have great value for money. Few days ago we got a small issue according to the cake we bought, and they deal with the issue and find the solution immediately.“

“They make the best matcha drinks, much tastier than the Starbucks nearby. I love the iced espresso matcha latte and get it almost everytime. The service is friendly and interior has improved since they first opened.Giving a 4 star since my only complaint is they advertise the opening time at 7am but it doesn't open right at that time. I was dissappointed when I stopped by 7:15am today to find it was closed. They also don't have much of a bakery selection as they use to, I miss the fatty's cookies they use to sell here!“

“I stumbled upon Cho Kwok Lat bakery on Main St N while picking up an order from the Too Good To Go app, and I'm so glad I did! This cozy bakery turned out to be a delightful find with its high online ratings living up to the hype. The danishes and pastries here are good. What impressed me the most was service; the staff kindly provided reheating instructions to ensure that we could enjoy our treats at their best.I've had the pleasure of trying a variety of items from their selection, and I must say, everything was a hit! My personal favorite is the sausage danish!Parking: Parking is behind the store.“

“This is a nice little mom & pop diner in an industrial area, so people expecting some swanky new digs and haute cuisine are looking for the wrong thing. At the end of the day, the food is great and has that home-cooked taste, portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and service is friendly. I'm not a regular, but I come back here from time to time. You should try it!“

“Why would you go to an overpriced Starbucks or Second Cup when you could visit this cute place?Inexpensive, very good coffee and food, cute and should be a must go at least once to see the difference between a "boutique" and an actual “

“I've been itching to visit Stae Cafe for a while after seeing one of my friends camp out here almost every week. With a new seasonal menu, there was no better time! We came here on a Easter Sunday and while it wasn't busy when we first arrived, it started piling up fast! The inside of the store is quite small and can seat about 15 people. The tables are quite large though, which is really nice for people who want to sit for a couple hours and do some work. You order at the counter and they will bring the food to your table when it's ready. We got the following items: - STAE bagel: Tasted like what I expected - delicious. Smoked salmon, cream cheese, arugula, and some onions and cucumbers. I find the "bagel sandwich" to be a lacking item in the Toronto/Markham food scene (maybe I'm just not looking hard enough) so I was very happy to see this here. 8/10 - STAE poke toast: At the first bite, I found it very fishy. I'm not sure if that's how it tastes usually but in comparison to the bagel above, it was a bit surprising. However, I'm not afraid of fishiness so I pushed through and it kind of grew on me mixed with the other toppings. I wished they did it with tuna poke to have a bit of variety as salmon is already in the STAE bagel. 7/10 - Sakura latte: We had this with oat milk. Quite interesting and had hints of a nice flower taste. Sweet but not overpowering. I probably would stick with coffee next time though as that's their specialty. 6/10 - Spanish latte: Fantastic. No wonder it's a fan favourite. Sweet and very strong, just how I like my coffee! Both drinks also came with a very teeny tiny Madeline cookie which was super cute and a nice touch! 9/10 Very cute cafe that's in the east side of Markham - I urge everyone to try it. What a nice way to start off my day!!“
