This is just about the best place on the southside. It's a bar but without the bar feel.Parking: There is a pay lot just behind this establishment. There is so much to see and do and we always finish up here. The owner and his awesome dog Nash are there to greet us. Friendly people. Everyone seems to get to know everyone. Smoking Joe's is a modern Cheers!
Great little dive bar. Found this place on Google Maps and saw good reviews, so we decided to check it out. The reviews definitely hold up. Service was great. They have good selections on tap and a ton of various canned beers on the display behind the bar. The food was great and for a good price. I had the BBQ rib wrap and the flavor was excellent, nice and cheesy, BBQ wasn't overpowering the rib meat really made the meal. Plus for a $1 upcharge they gave a ton of fries. Finally made it here after 27 years of living in Pittsburgh. Decided to come for dinner and drinks because we knew Alex from Ruggers worked here also. Wings were delicious and so was the burger, granted the burger was a little on the char broiled side flavor wise but was not dry. Mound of delicious fries on the side. The beers were frosty and shots adequately poured. 100% getting added to the roster of go-to eats on the Southside.
