“Had a great experience sitting at the bar recently. They were very busy but the bartender took my order as soon as she could, and she was helpful & friendly. Their selection of amari is definitely among the best in the state. I ordered the arugula salad and it was massive, with a good amount of shaved Parm and a tasty dressing. Enjoyed tasting a preview of a super good cocktail that's now on their new Spring menu, called the "Bee's Peas" (thanks Nick!).“

“My mom came to visit me in town and we came here. So glad we did. Sat at the bar. Friendly prompt service. Good wine. Delicious bread!!! And I loved my entree: stuffed quail and mushroom risotto. Great flavor, well executed. Oh! And the tiramisu was THE BEST dessert I’ve had out! Seriously.I live here in Burlington and don’t go out that much anymore because I’ve been so let down by really expensive meals that aren’t that great. Trattoria was worth it.It was so refreshing to have a fantastic night out with great food and ambience. Mom loved it too— and she’s a tough critic!“

“A very beautiful restaurant with great ambiance and superb food. We stopped in for lunch on a Sat and had a salad and sandwiches. The eggplant parm sandwich was the best I've had. The bread was perfection and really made the sandwich. Arugula salad was simple but quite good. Definitely recommend“

“To keep it short, Folinos is the best pizza I've ever had. To elaborate, the sour dough crust is insanely delicious. Add that to the wood fire oven, the incredibly fresh ingredients and the best sauce. It's hard to beat. We usually have gotten the thin crust but this past time we added a Detroit style. We have had Detroit style pizza in Michigan and Folinos blew that away. Service is always top notch. This is always our first stop after we land at the airport.“

Sotto Enoteca Italian • $$

“Do I recommend it?! 1000%! It was a weekday night and I headed to the Italian restaurant next door. I was solo but there wasn't a seat available, even at the bar. But the greeter suggested I try their sister restaurant Soto in the basement next door. There is a sign but somehow I'd overlooked it. I walked down the steps to a pretty low key door and walked into a fairly small space with a large table and just a few two/four tops and some bar seating. The large table was full of tech execs sampling the large and well curated wine collection but the bar and other tables were open. This was a much more intimate place and was simply decorated and furnished. They share a kitchen with the place next door but have a simpler menu, though I believe you may be able to punch from the other restaurants menu for certain things, like if you needed a vegetarian or gluten free dish. I was warmly greeted and received my drink while i perused the menu. There was no pressure to place my order so i carefully considered what i wanted. I got the local mushrooms as an appetizer and they were unbelievable. After that I decided to get the special which was veal chop with potatoes. It was a very large and thick chop, cooked to perfection. I thought I'd wind up packing half of it home but it was so delicious that I finished the whole thing, nibbling even the bone. The server was very attentive but also let me have my space. This is a great place for a romantic or quiet dinner or if you want to treat yourself solo. Don't let the modest looking door from the street fool you; enter and prepare yourself for a fantastic meal.“

“Some of the best pizza I've had in awhile outside of my own, wood fired, backyard grill pies. Ordered ahead during a busy weekend and arrived at the designated time for pickup. It wasn't ready, but was going in the oven. The kids working there were hopping, trying to keep the wheels going round, and ultimately, the pizza exceeded my expectations.“
