“I picked up a cake for my boyfriends birthday. On my way home, someone decided to turn into my lane while I had the right of way. I had to slam on my breaks, and the cake went flying. Somehow, this cake was SO SOLID it stayed in tact. Hardly anything happened to it. A little mark you can see in the picture. I was so relieved, I'm thankful they make such sturdy cakes! “Always incredible. My mom and my boyfriend love when I ask if they want anything from Pickled Pepper cause it's always so delicious. Everyone in there is super sweet and gets my order out quick! Best sandwiches around. I always get the turkey artichoke focaccia with their garlic parmesan aioli instead of plain mayo and it slaps. It comes warm and the cheese is melty. Simple yet so so tasty. “My wife and I love coming here for a beer after a long day at work. For starters, their tap list is always full of interesting and solid craft beer. I've tried many and have been satisfied with each one. The environment is great, and Rainier Growlers has an aura of a bar environment that is seldom found these days. It definitely fosters social interaction and we always strike up a conversation with the many other friendly patrons. The bartenders service is always great, and they go out of their way to ask our names and strike up a conversation. Rainier Growlers is heaven for beer lovers! After visiting many bars and breweries Rainier Growlers stands out as one of those places that brings you back again and again. “Minimal staffing so come with a plan to slow down and relax. Afternoon tea requires a 24hour advance reservation, but there is a decent menu for walk-ins to take out or sit down. I came to buy shareable goodies from the shop section for our school’s Multicultural Fair, but I also wanted my family to experience some lunch items we don’t normally eat. The ham & cheese sandwich is made with chutney as the pickle and only one of us appreciated that. The Ploughman pasty with ham, cheese, onion in a flaky hand pie was filling and delicious. The Cherry Bakewell Tart was a lovely little treat! I had a small pot of Irish Eyes tea which is a green tea but blended so it is a pleasant hint of bergamot, chocolate essence and not a bit grassy. Equally entertaining as our lunch and shopping was the themed tea at a nearby table, not that we would ever eavesdrop. :)”

“I came here after a long day at work and was treated so nicely by the hostesses and was seated immediately, i had asked for my steak medium and it came back a bit overcooked and my hostess Rebecca immediately offered to bring back another one. She had noticed that my voice was a bit raspy from a cold I was getting over and had asked if I wanted a hot cup of tea or anything. This was the nicest experience I've had, their food is amazing as well as the people they have as the face of their restaurant. “I love their food but the wait staff has really gone down hill this last year. I took my family yesterday & the girl forgot stuff three times & she never came back for the rest of the meal until she brought us the bill. Sadly that affected her tip a lot. I was also in the middle of ordering & she basically stopped me to speak over me & said “she doesn’t ask about soups until the end of orders” when I always order a full miso soup order. She brought me one of those tiny complimentary ones & I didn’t even bother saying anything to her because she was obviously just not listening. There were only two other ppl in the restaurant so that was disappointing as we’ve been coming here for 2 years & it’s not the first time in the last 2 months (we use to eat here often) but that they’ve rushed us when there’s not many ppl in the restaurant. Everything was pretty straightforward no feeling of rush or anything, other than the food getting cold quick, it will get cold before all your food is done cooking. “Beautifully newly remodeled with the art work designed about the town. I’m a Puyallup native and recently went to this location after several years. The upgrade was amazing. The service was great. The food was authentically Denny’s. (Although the chef needed more experience cooking a petite sirloin to a medium rare.) My only suggestion would be with the restrooms. Most stalls were out of service (and there aren’t many). In need of repair. Not particularly clean. Everything else was great.”

We got the aloo baingan, bhindi masala, and aloo flatbread. The server also suggested some naturally vegan starters for next time and I can’t wait to try them. “Our (my wife and I) experience has been that the food has always been fresh and good quality. For instance, we've NEVER had a Salad where the lettuce was just on the verge of "turning" or the fish the Fish n Chips had that terrible "rubber" texture (where you know it was old fish). Also, the food offered is not what one purchases in order to "calorie count" and the portions and prices are always to the patrons favor, thus, we have never walked away hungry. The staff have always been friendly, courteous, and helpful (as of late, traits that seem to be getting more difficult to experience elsewhere). Regarding atmosphere, whelp, it's a Pub, so the Food, Service, Beer, Spirits, Billiards, Darts (electronic, I believe), and Pull Tabs are all paired with an ENORMOUS SIDE OF ATMOSPHERIC UNPRETENTIOUSNESS. That said, and I don't share this lightly, it is one of our favorite places to eat, the food and service never fail to impress, and we highly recommend it.”

“Let me first start off by saying I initially had a bad experience. Won't get into details but I reached out to the owners about what happened and they went above and beyond to make sure that my issues were taken care of and addressed with the staff. I'm all about supporting local businesses and when I tell you that their pizza is delicious, that would be an understatement. I see some people complain about either the cost (which should be a non-issue because a lot of other places are more expensive) or they complain that the pizza doesn't have a ton of toppings (again, not my experience so not sure what they're talking about). If you're wanting to try Fat Zach's out I would suggest ordering on a Monday (they have a 2 pizzas for $26 deal). If you've never had a wood fired pizza, it might be a little different than what you're used to. The crust isn't going to be greasy like most chain pizza places, it's going to be thin and somewhat crispy on the edges. The toppings are the perfect amount for the crust. The pizza is tasty (I've had the Fatboy, the NBD, the Fat Zach's, Poly Pig and First Responder) and they have all been delicious. Top notch business from the ownership and this will be a business I will continue to support going forward!”

“I've stopped by this Cafe Elite a few times. This coffee stand is a franchise/chain, so normally you're getting a consistent experience across the board. I love that they start their eggnog lattes early in the season! They also just happen to have the best ones around, in my opinion. The location of this one is nice, as it's an easy stop off of Meridian -- it's also in the same parking lot as the South Hill Goodwill, for all my thrifting girlies!! Having options is nice because I can choose where I want to sit when I'm meeting with clients there.The juices are awesome, I think I've had all of them by now. My favorite is the green one or the Spring Clean, and they always let me add ginger to them.Elements sells bags of their coffee, and it is phenomenal for brewing at home in my French press. The owner Robert told me he has a custom blend from a local coffee roaster that is specific to his tastes, and I can say we both prefer the same blend/roast because it is fantastic.I really like the community feel of this place, and it seems like everyone knows each other in there. Even strangers are greeted with smiles and warmth, which is amazing to see and feel whenever I'm there. Highly recommend!”

“I'm addicted to the Santa Barbara Char and my husband can't get enough of the Ahi Tuna burger.The sides are soooo yummy.Love the spicy yellow sauce that is kept in the fridge.Just one issue, Generally speaking (not specific to one restaurant) I find that there is room for improvement where cleaning of the juice and condiments area is concerned. Not mushy like some places. Crunchy freshly cooked veggies (but not raw) and immense flavors. The staff was super helpful and attentive. This is my new comfort food.
