“A little hidden, but so worth to try. Empanadas are really good taste authentic, with the chimichurri is way better. Also the sweets, I tried de thin alfajores I don’t remember the name but they were delicious, and the dulce de leche canelones sooooo good. Very nice people too! Not super cheap but so worth it. Definitely I’ll be back!“
“We stumbled upon this little gem by accident whilst shopping in the area and it ended up being the highlight of our day. We received the warmest welcome and the most impeccably helpful service from the owners. That, along with the amazingly enticing food on display, quickly turned a browse into a much longer visit whilst we sampled some of their menu. The pulled pork quesadilla was the best we've ever had and the pulled beef and chicken tacos were also incredible. The accompaniments - pico de gallo and a garlic and cilantro aioli - were both outstanding, so fresh and full of flavour. We also ended up leaving with a pineapple and habanero jelly and some delicious pastries. Can't wait to come back and enjoy more of the menu.“
“Incredible food, efficient service, attention to detail / allergens, super kind staff & comforting atmosphere. Thank you so much! Highly recommend to attend - especially if you’re in a group! ?Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free & dairy free options! Incredibly delicious - you would never tell the difference.“
“Fantastic spot for a bite! Ordered two empanadas and a sandwich. Realized I was VERY late as they were in the middle of crafting the sandwich, asked to just take the empanadas and go. They refunded the sandwich - totally didn't have to.The empanadas were delicious. Will definitely be back.“
“Delicious food & warm, inviting atmosphere. A few people approached me to note that this is the “best place for Colombian food in all of Calgary”. I’m not Colombian, so I can’t confirm but the food is great & tastes like it was made with love. I tried the tamale, empanadas, chorizo, & a soft bread with cheese inside (I forget the name). Everything was great except for the chorizo which I found a little bit underwhelming. Seemed the chorizo was just served on top of an arepa with no sauce or anything… might be authentic but for me personally I wasn’t a huge fan. Everything else hit the spot!“
“Brought my daughter to Gringo Street for her birthday dinner. The food, drink & service was incredible. The team made her feel so special. The birthday card & drinks were such a nice touch. I highly recommend overall and I shall be back for the soursop mojitos. Thank you so much!“
“Yes delicious food, fun place to visit, BUT it's sadly becoming very overpriced to purchase anything on the grocery sides, which is very unfortunate. It is understandable that the import pricing has only gone up but still everything is noticeably higher by a lot and by now you can find a lot of the same products for much cheaper at your local grocery stores.Yet, do stop by for their restaurant, it is delicious and worth every penny!“
“It’s a must try/ have. Just note when you do, all you want is to go back. Everything is fantastic, the food, the drink and the people! And the lime Margaritas on the rocks double shot. Omg delicious! I don’t know anywhere that can top what they got going on.“
“We popped in here on a hockey night without a reso last week but they were full; so the hostess advised she could text me when it died down a bit. She did and we came back an hour later. I'm glad we came back because it was such a fun night for us. The staff were so super fun with us, suggesting different options to try, engaging with us and overall making it a really fun night. Their tequila menu is pretty extensive and I'd recommend going for their happy hour if you want to try various tequila options at 1/2 price; it gives you an opportunity to try different ones without committing to too much. I definitely recommend, and we will be back. A big thanks to the amazing staff who really did make our night super fun.“
“My family and I had a Chef’s Experience for six and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend it for a special event. We got the chance to sample different food and beverages over 6 courses where Chef Josh and our server McKenzie told us all about the curated menu.I want to recommend everything but some of the highlights are: Animal fries, pollo loco and pork belly tacos, pealla (might not be on the menu yet but run when it makes it on there) and the carne asada. Our favourite drinks were the chili mango margarita and the Mexican mule.McKenzie was friendly and attentive and Chef Josh puts a lot of passion into the menu. We will definitely be back!“
“If I could give this restaurant higher stars I would, first time trying this type of food, I was super hesitant with trying but so happy I did. The food was AMAZING! The waitress’s were always on the move and hard working. I’ll definitely be recommending this to whoever wants to try something new or have a nice date night out.Absolutely going back!“
