After eating here, I don't want to have brunch anywhere else. The decor was nice, all the food was delicious, the service was great as well. I went with three other people and we ordered some sushi rolls and takoyaki as appetizers, and we each got an entree, not knowing how big they would be. We decided to split the entrees so we could try all of them. It was a lot of food and we were pretty full when we finished. Regardless, we still enjoyed every last bite.
I had an extremely positive experience at Shijo Cafe! I was lured here by delicious photos of houjicha lattes and sushi I saw on IG and I have to say, it did not disappoint.They have many milk alternatives to choose from for your latte and they do latte art ! Houjicha lattes are rare to come by in Calgary (actually Houjicha tea is not that common to begin with) so I was excited to try it. Woah! Absolutely delicious & fresh food! Ordered Hojicha Pancake & Heaven Crab. Hojicha Pancake tasted of Hojicha tea. Very interesting toppings like Boba, Hojicha tea, extremely fresh fruit of white strawberries, blueberries &green grapes, syrup & cream. Heaven Crab was out of this world! Made up of soft shell Crab Tempura, Scrambled Eggs, sitting on a sourdough bread with very fresh salad mix topping. Comes with hollandaise sauce & ponzu sauce. Will order again!
