I recently had the pleasure of hosting my wedding reception at The Rec Room's meeting space in Calgary on July 15, 2023 and I can't express enough how delighted we were with our choice. We were aiming for a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and The Rec Room delivered everything we could have hoped for—and more! We opted for a unique approach to our reception by selecting a variety of appetizers and platters, followed by a poutine station later in the evening. The food was simply divine, and our guests couldn't stop raving about the scrumptious flavors. Throughout the event, the staff took great care of us and our guests, ensuring that everything ran smoothly without being intrusive. The best part was that they tidied up discreetly, so our guests could focus on enjoying the celebration without disruptions. I've attended events at numerous upscale locations in the past, but the level of service at The Rec Room surpassed them all. We ran into a lot of issues when first booking the space, but once the new sales manager, Tee, took over, everything ran smoothly. I must give a special shoutout to Tee, who went above and beyond to make our reception unforgettable. Tee's communication was impeccable, and his warm, bubbly personality created an instant connection. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and added a personal touch that made a significant difference. Additionally, we had the pleasure of meeting Tee's manager, Joshu, who joined the team shortly before our event and it was an absolute pleasure. I wholeheartedly recommend The Rec Room as a fantastic venue for wedding receptions or any kind of event requiring meeting space. The relaxed yet fun ambiance, delectable food, and top-notch customer service make it a standout choice in Calgary. If you want an unforgettable experience and seamless planning, look no further than The Rec Room.
