“This was the BEST pho I’ve had in a long time. After switching to halal only, it’s been hard to find good pho. The best part of the pho was the lady that works there. She was the best server I’ve ever had. when she found out it was our first time she gave us samples of all the broths which really helped us make our decision. We got the brisket, beef and chicken. All of them were very good!“

“Enjoyed pho and vermicelli. The food was fantastic. Not overly salty as it tends to be in many other places. Tons of flavors and very fresh. We are picky eathers and could not find anything to complain. Service was excellent. They were attentive and even apologized serving the spring rolls slightly delayed as the first batch was burned. Even the water they brought was done thoughfully I'm Caucasian and got class of cold water and my wife who is Asian got a glass of warm water. I recommend wholeheartedly this place.“

“I’ve always seen this place in passing for so long and wanted to try it since it’s close to my home, and I’m glad I finally tried it tonight. Very fresh and tasty, definitely one of the better bánh mì places in Calgary. I will definitely be back.

“Food and ambiance A new eatery in an old place“

“Update: dec1 2024, -16 c out. Walked from hotel to TO ME vietnamese subs. Ordered again, chicken coconut sub with extra cucumber, second time I just walked up on there door at 730 pm...hungry, 2 minutes later, sub and salad rolls while one other car was ordering.. got back to hotel, sub was still toasty warm and salad rolls, the same. Hopefully you read that in a 1940s detective voice,but if not.... point is, you CAN walk up to ,TO ME vietnamese subs. It's not just drive thru any more, I hope. And, I hope my pics reflect how huge these subs are for price. Also, realize they do have peanut sauces in case of allergies. My next sub purchase is going to be the saute beef and hopefully I can get some peanut sauce on the side to sprinkle on and use my extra chili sauce for a little heat. This place IS a hidden gem in calgary. Oh, and they had no problem customizing the order. It may be standard to charge 2$ for any extra veggies or meat. They seem really accomadating, but I would assume it would be like ordering extra meat or veggies with their noodle offerings.

Saw reviews for this little bahn mii shop and was staying in a hotel just down the street. I didn't know if I could just walk up and order, so I knocked on the door and at first they found it weird ,but were happy to take a walk up order. I just thought of liability concerns if I ordered at the drive thru window while on foot.

My order came fast and I didn't need to sit in the cold for long. I got the coconut chicken curry sub and they gave me separate chilli sauce to spice it up myself. Personally , I only added about half of one container to keep it mild. But this was so good. Nice coconut flavor. They do use lemon grass, and for me ,adding that little bit of chilli sauce for some heat on the back end was so good! Loaded with veggies and next time I'm going to ask for extra cucumber. Because, there definitely is going to be a next time.

I also ordered 2 orders of their spring rolls. They packaged it in a reusable bag and tied the top down so I could carry it back. Everything was still warm, bread wasn't hard.

If your walking by the place, check it out. Wish they had a walk up window just for safety reasons. But definitely worth checking out. I've never had a sandwich make me smile before. The prices are very reasonable. Especially since most of the restaurants around this shop are more expensive. Very good for people on a tight budget. You may not get away with knocking on their door if the line of cars is long. I went later on a Saturday night where there were no cars ordering. Please, TO ME vietnamese subs, create a walk up window and you'll definitely get support from the surrounding community.“

“Superb customer service - I misunderstood a menu item as in past I've ordered a rare beef satay soup at other establishments and it came with a peanut sauce stirred through. Here it meant chilli oil, which was already added to the soup, and unfortunately was too much spice for my lips or belly to tolerate. As I was scanning the menu for something else to order the staff brought a smaller bowl of broth and noodles without chilli oil, complimentary. The depth of flavour in the broth was exceptional, truly delicious, and I left a very happy customer.

“I am VERY happy I found this hidden gem! I have never heard of this place, but I am so stoked we came across this place.

You know it's a family restaurant from the moment you go in, and the hospitality matches the warmth. We were met with the friendliest lady, mentioning there was no meat--which is why we came. I eat vegan and my cousin and I chose this place due to the menu looking enticing.

We ordered the Banh xeo as an appetizer to share (RECOMMEND!) and were basically full when our main course came. The bun bo hue looked FULL of proteins and vegetables, and the broken rice with shredded tofu was SO good. The tofu was so crispy and flavourful.

I am very excited to try this place again!!! Very vegan friendly and obviously, everything is fully vegetarian!!!“

“I had the opportunity to take my parent to try uncle ten last week. We ordered an xl house special pho, the grill pork rice with egg and shredded pork, and the beef and chicken skewers. Not only were the portions very generous, the food tasted very authentic, it reminded my us of Vietnam. The pho broth was stew to perfection, rich and flavorful. Absolutely our go to for pho.“

One of the best soups & banh mi's I've had in my life and that's coming from an Asian.
The wonton soup w/ egg noodles & the house special traditional satay beef pho w/ peanuts are my go-to's along w/ spring rolls.
They also still have the original sriracha bottles w/ the rooster. On top of that, hoisin, fish & satay sauce readily available in to-go ramekins.

They're 1 block away from 4th St. Station by the C-Train beside Deville right across the courthouse making it easily accessible.

The owners are wonderful and I feel so lucky to live nearby to easily enjoy their delicious food.“

“The business itself is hidden a little bit but have done a great job in getting your eyes attention. If it wasn't for the canopy, I would've missed it altogether. Service was very prompt all the way through and very efficient, from the time we walked in, was taken to our table , ordered our food and food being delivered to our table was somewhere in the 5 - 10 minute range. The food was excellent and very tasty as well as having good portion to price balance. The restaurant itself was very well done and looked after very well. Dishes were great size. We ordered Banh Canh Cua, Ngheu Hap Thai and Goi Cuon Tom.
In the beginning, we were asking the staff that if Banh Canh Cua contained meat at all (we could only eat seafood), but when it came out there was pork on it. As we were kinda disappointed but we were fine as we didnt want to make it challenge for staff. However, staff came out and offered to remake it for us. We appreciated the service and their understanding. Great dinner and would def recommend if you want to try Vietnamese dishes“

“The best sate I've tried thus far. Different from other shops as it's not the weak orange color & tastlessness like some other places. Its more creamy & peanuty with some spice. Seriously, do yourself a favor & order the sate.

Location wise, coworker says it's been around for a long time (like 20yrs) so it looks pretty unassuming from the outside. The interior has lots of indoor lighting but is darker then most places as it is an older building with smaller windows so not much natural light but it does have a welcoming cozy atmosphere and the lady who took our orders was very nice.“

“Fast, affordable, and delicious.

I routinely order the chilli chicken sandwich and it's super good, well cooked chicken, spicy, fresh ingredients.

Even when you add cheese it's only $0.50 cents (unlike other places who charge stupid amounts for extras)

Great value. Highly recommended.

Only downside is if u got a car, parking is not easy since it's right on 17th Ave...“
