“A Taste of the Tropics in the Rockies !!!!Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, Sheepdog Brewing in Canmore offers a delightful surprise for beer enthusiasts with their Coconut Porter. Their beer menu is a testament to their dedication to quality and creativity. As a fan of dark beers and exotic flavors, I was intrigued by the idea of a coconut-infused porter, and I must say, it did not disappoint.Upon pouring, the Coconut Porter presents a deep, rich mahogany hue with a creamy, tan head that invites you in with its tantalizing aroma. Notes of roasted malt and chocolate waft through the air, hinting at the complex flavors to come. What sets Sheepdog Brewing's Coconut Porter apart is its masterful balance. The coconut infusion is pronounced enough to make a statement, yet it never overwhelms the classic characteristics of a well-crafted porter. The marriage of toasted coconut with the subtle bitterness of the dark malts creates a harmonious symphony on the palate, leaving a lingering, satisfying finish that beckons you back for more.Whether you're a seasoned beer connoisseur or a casual enthusiast, this brew is a must-try. It's a testament to Sheepdog Brewing's creativity and dedication to quality, as they've managed to craft a truly unique and memorable beer that captures the essence of both the rocky mountain wilderness and the sun-soaked shores of a distant island.“

“This brewery has lots of seating available. The decor was minimal and could be spiced up a little bit. I wish they had more non alcoholic or non-beer options. My husband loved all the beers he tried! However, he ordered a beer and the server told him “that’s unable to be poured currently” and didn’t elaborate on what that meant, and we thought that was super weird.“

“This review is a month late.. better late than never!Group of 6 visited in the evening after a long day of doing some winter hiking. When we entered the establishment we were given the option of two different dining experiences - a more classy experience up top and the casual on the main floor which is what we chose.Martin was our server and was very personable, shared some laughs with us and gave suggestions. His service was prompt and let a great impression on all of us.We ordered some appy’s first - wings, hummus w pita (to die for- SOOOOOO good) and a couple non alcohol beverages. The lemonade is really good!! We couldn’t get enough of it.My friend is from New York City and doesn’t eat red meat. HOWEVER, we all talked up the “Alberta Beef” craze and he decided to order it. Ohhhhh my goodness I swear it broke that man lol. He loved it so much that we went back the next night for him to get it again LOLOL. After he hasn’t eaten red meat in 20 years, their burger just is so incredible he couldn’t help himself.4 of us had the burger which was just so so so unbelievably delicious.A couple friends ordered the warm pretzels, unfortunately they were not happy with them but I didn’t try them so can’t say for myself (however they are huge foodies lol). Also something very cool to add - there are board games to choose from! There is a fire pit outside which was super cool because the weather was hovering around zero that night, so we sat around the fire a bit on the way out.Absolutely fantastic vibes and I will suggest to everyone and I will be going again!!!!!My brother had recommended this place and i am so thankful he did!“
