“This couple has been running the sandwich shop for more than 10 years, maybe 20 I don't know what's a long time. They're very personable. They have soup beef barley and such. They have great sandwiches, and they are primarily a lunch sandwich shop. I think they close by 3 p.m. They have excellent food, great service. They are a little off the beaten path but all the local workers seem to know them. Their prices are more than Fair, this is a great stop for reasonably priced lunch, and their soups are Excellent.Parking: We have never had a problem parking.“

“One of the few farmers markets closer to the south side that runs all year long. There's a good mix of vendors here where you can find all sorts of things. It doesn't have the same sort of energy as the strathcona farmers market, but it's larger space so it feels more relaxed in that regard. There's a good variety of food vendors with cuisines from around the world. They happened to have live music playing here when we came on this most recent visit. I met up with a friend around 5:30 for an early dinner on a Thursday night and we were the only people there. I was surprised as I'd heard reservations are recommended as it can get busy. It turns out we were just early though. By the time we left a couple hours later, the place had filled up with a large group who were clearly regulars. The vibe completely changed from a quiet dinner spot to a great hangout venue. I'd definitely like to come back on a Friday to see how it feels when it's really busy. They have a fairly small food menu but it has a few options for vegetarians to choose from. The spicy habanero pasta was on special and I really enjoyed it. I also tried 2 of their house cocktails, both of which happened to be set on fire tableside in some capacity.
