This is a place that looks quite plain from the outside and even from the inside, but the servings are large and the food is very tasty. My family had the Himalayan chopped salad and two different versions of the lamb dish, and I had some lentils in addition to that, served with a heaping plate of rice and all the water we could drink. Come hungry and come prepared to enjoy mild but very tasty food.
I've been to both Yak and Yeti locations in Anchorage and this is more the family-style option of the two (the other is a build-your-own-rice-bowl type of deal). My family and I came here twice during our trip to Anchorage since they have reliably good food at a great value. I got to try their Himalayan chicken, Palak Paneer, Chicken Achari, and Lhasa Momos. This is a Nepalese restaurant not an Indian one. Nepalese food is a regional cuisine akin to Tibet, so those folks expecting a diverse selection representing all of India will be disappointed.
