Navigate Fairbanks' Mexican food scene with Restaurantji's recommendations.
“My lengthy quest to find my favorite Mexican restaurant in Fairbanks has finally ended. The margs were good, the Al pastor was a little dry but seasoned well so net positive. The chimichanga was excellent. The mole was a little runny and didn’t quite have the dark, rich flavor I prefer but overall I enjoyed my meal. Miguel’s is my new favorite spot!“
“Amazing food. The rice was so delicious. The beans fantastic. The Birria was so tender and juicy. The staff is so friendly and inviting. I cannot wait to go back. I live in Louisiana and travel to Fairbanks annually. I know good food. And this place delivers all the goods. Food service and atmosphere. This is a must try trust me.“
“My wife and I love this place. We are Mexican and sure this might not be my grandma’s home cooking but it sure is a Mexican spot. I’m not sure where these “non-authentic, texmex” reviews are coming from because I loved this place. The enchiladas and tacos are always hitting jsut right while the staff is as always lovely.“
“We were in town from Southern California for the Aurora, and stopped in for a bite. We have very high standards for Mexican food, but saw it had a 4.1 overall rating.Let us just say this place is great. The food tastes very fresh, servings are large, and service was amazing. Deon was busy but was always attentive and truly cared about customers. The restaurant is lucky to have him.Definitely worth a visit here if you are thinking about it.“
“I am absolutely in love with their fajitas. They are so delicious and cooked to perfection. They come with a side of rice and beans and your choice of a flower or corn tortilla. The staff is very nice but not very observant when it comes to refills or coming by enough to ask a question. But this place is also pricey.“
“The enchiladas and tacos were great. My kid has the burger and said it was very good. The rice didn't have any flavor. The refried beans was a little runny but was full of flavor. The waitress gave us excellent service. The decor was a little over the top. The strange thing is this place has two names: Mayan Palace and Taco Azteca. It seems to be the same place with two entrances and two different signs.“
“First time consumer at Lane's Quickie Tacos. From the moment I walked in I was impressed with how friendly Lane was. He introduced himself, as well as Brady and even took the time to ask my name. He then very patiently walked me through his entire menu. Home made tortillas were so soft and tasty. I tried 3 different tacos and they were all delicious. In fact I ordered one where I was a little hesitant on one of the toppings and Lane gave me a little sample first to assure me the flavors mix and mix very well, that one wound up being my favorite out of the 3 I tried. Upon leaving I said goodbye to both Lane and Brady, even though busy with other customers and Brady busy making tacos they both politely responded, thanked me for coming in as well wishing me a great remainder of the day. Beyond impressed and I will definitely return before I leave Fairbanks.THANK YOU Lane and Brady!“
