“Full Moon BBQ is always good, but this Alabaster location is the best of the best. Everything we ordered was fantastic: ribs, fried okra, pulled pork, macaroni & cheese, buffalo style tenders, and fries. It was all good. The tea was excellent, too.“
“I was talked into getting the baby back ribs and honestly... I'll never get them again, they were dry and chewy, I like my baby backs to be juicy and fall off the bone, I'll give em the benefit of doubt here and just figure they were under a warmer for a while since it the time I sat down they were bringing it out to me. Held the ribs in one hand by the bone and they just hung there. Staff was super friendly though and had a smile on their faces.“
“Loved, loved, loved it. Food was fantastic. Went based on other reviews. They were spot on.Fried green tomato sandwich, brisket sandwich, smashburger were all very good. We are not fond of grits, but (based on reviews) ordered the smoked gouda grits. THEY WERE AMAZING.Not cheap, average portion sizes, but the quality was top notch. We will definitely be back.“
“I have made a weekly visit to this place in the last three weeks. I've only tried the bacon and fried green tomatoes, the smoked sausages, and the banana pudding, but have thoroughly enjoyed every bite of it. Definitely 10 out of 10.“
“This place is one of my favorite places in Birmingham/Hoover. Food is great. Service is friendly. All artist are amazing. Sharron is my favorite! The atmosphere is definitely for the grown-ups. Perfect for a date night, anniversary, birthday, girls' night out, or a solo date. You will dance, sing, sway and enjoy the music.“
“Well, Jim N Nicks has been in Hoover a long time. It is good BBQ. However popular it may be, I have experienced some issues over time that have lessened my enthusiasm for eating there. The menu now changes annually and several items I have enjoyed have subsequently disappeared from the menu, such as catfish and grilled chicken. If you like their brisket, pork and potatoes you should be ok, but don't get too attached to other menu items. No guys, no one wants Pitmaster Nachos, this ain't Little Donkey. They have removed their grill and that has hurt menu options as well. Food portions have been hit by shrinkflation, but a visit will average 30-40 for a party of two. The staff are generally polite, but may be inattentive at times due to diner volume or tending bar/take outs. The music is extremely loud inside, moreso than most places, so people talk louder. This is the place if you want the music to drown out your in laws' conversation, but not if you are catching up with friends you actually like. As time goes on, my affection for Jim N Nicks changes like their menu. There is better BBQ around at better prices without the ongoing menu regenerations from the marketing department and the inside audio decibels making for an unpleasant dining experience. Stick to the drive thru and eat the cheese biscuits at home.“
“My family decided to try this place out based on the reviews we seen online. I will say the service was good, the restaurant is clean, the food had plenty of options to choose from like fried soft shell crabs, crawfish, fried chicken, hibachi, beef ribs, fresh sushi, fried shrimp, rice, lo mein, fresh fruit, the dessert options are limited or not as tasteful.“
“We stopped here because we couldn’t reach the other bbq place across the tracks and discovered an amazing hidden gem! This place has incredible bbq and service and the owner is kind hearted and charitable. This is our new favorite spot in calera!“
“Food was excellent, as usual. Many of the wait staff are new and there are long waits to be seated. Do Call Ahead Seating from the app and try to go when it is not busy. Tuesday night at 5:30 we had to wait around 20 minute. I went a couple of weekends ago and they quoted an 1 hour and 40 minute wait for 5:00 pm on a Saturday, however the wait wait ended up being about 40 minutes.“
“Decided to try this place out this weekend with some friends!! Sat down immediately despite the restaurants lunch crowd which was a plus! Servers were super kind and helpful when being indecisive on what to order! Food and appetizers came out super fast and fresh! Burger was amazing and chicken wings were good. Will definitely be back!“
“Although I did take out on my visit to this Full Moon Bar-B-Que, I had a most awesome experience. From the time I walked up to place my order to leaving out the door after picking up my order was most pleasant. Tan was awesome ! My food was great. I ordered ×2 family meals 1 with a slab of ribs, 1 with a whole chicken and order of chopped pork each family meal came with ×2 sides, so I got the opportunity to try collard greens ?, Mac n cheese ? ?, baked beans ? and potato ? salad ? ? & the dozen little cornbread muffins ? were delicious ?!!! Those cookies ? dipped in chocolate ? were everything!!! Loved it and sooo did my family!! This restaurant gets a definite ????& ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“My first visit, my co-worker invited me to lunch. I thought she was taking me to "Welcome to Moe's southwestern food. Trust folks don't get this place mixed up with them. The food is excellent! It was a OMG moment for me. I had the catfish platter. Awesome! Next visit will be pork sandwich, if you have not been there run don't walk !“
“Our party of 2 came for a later lunch on a Tuesday, about 12:45-1 pm. We were seated immediately. Our server was great, never forgetting to bring anything, never disappearing for long periods of time. Of course, the bread they bring is amazing. Potato soup is really good. Today, we split the spinach dip-so good- and the chicken tenders and fries. We had tons of food left. I think their chicken tenders are some of the best around. They are seasoned really well, and so are the fries. We got the 6-count tenders but ate some before I snapped a pic because I was so excited!“
