“We recently had an anniversary party at The Wine Loft and it was so wonderful! We had our wedding reception there 10 years ago, so we were excited to host another event at The Wine Loft. The whole team worked hard to make it a successful event (especially Kristin). We hope to be back in another 10 years :)“
“My first time at Red or White and loved it! Daley took excellent care of us and had wonderful recommendations on what to order off the menu. I started with the wood fire oysters and finished with the Rosemario pizza. Chef Greg prepared all of our food perfectly. I enjoyed being able to watch the kitchen prepare all the dishes going out. Will be back!“
“We have had our company party here for the last couple of years. We have 20 seated in their party room. A little cramped but still workable for all those folks. Food and service has been outstanding!! Any food choice will be above average but the Apple beignets are a must have and truly special.“
“If you have never been before GO. The atmosphere, the customer service, THE FOOD, is all impeccable. I have been twice this month with my husband. The food is fresh to order and they have the best garlic bread ever. Even just going in to sit at the bar is a great experience. 10/10 and definitely one of our favorite places to eat. ♥️“
“Avine was recommended to us by the owners of one of our regular hangouts, Bamboo. WOW, what a beautifully well designed space. Pleasant atmosphere and the drinks are amazing. The Whiskey Sour is one of the best I’ve had in a while. The Popcorn is a MUST!! Will definitely be a new place to go for dinner and drinks.“
“Classic Wine Company is a godsend! They truly care about customers, evident through their handling of curbside service during a pandemic and their amazing staff, like Rachel Mobley, who helped put together a perfect case for me when she wasn't even scheduled to work. I'll never buy wine anywhere else in town!“
“I could honestly go on about this place forever. The pizza is incredible. The venison is the best. The servers are all friendly and attentive. This is genuinely my favorite restaurant in Birmingham. I am bias though because I'm Italian, but it truly is an incredible place. Such a good bang for the buck.“
“We have gone to Freddy’s many times and always had an amazing experience! The service is always amazing, the wine plentiful, and the food delicious and consistent. We had a party for my husband’s birthday this past weekend and were so impressed by the execution of service. If you want to be truly taken care of, come to Freddy’s!“
“Stop thinking about it and just do it. This place is AMAZING! Family owned and it is spectacular. I’ve never had such a good meal. The drinks were perfect, large portioned meals, extremely friendly and helpful staff. 10/10 Marcus was the best bartender we’ve ever had and he was so kind. Can’t wait to come back again and try the rest of the menu!“
“Service was absent. Waitress argued with my dad about an appetizer quality. So he refused to order any more food little did they know he was picking up the check. Food was okay. Not 5 star. Took us 4 hours to eat and get out. Waitress had 6 tables with 39 people in upscale restaurant. Been waiting years to go here. Service really was worse than Applebees“
“Dinner date with my SOYmate! My wife & I had a fantastic date night at Chuck's Fish. This Chuck's Fish is located on 280, but there are 5 other locations across Alabama, Georgia & Florida. They specialize in fresh seafood & sushi. We started with the Kimchi Brussels served flash-fried with bacon & cilantro aioli. I'm such a fan girl for good Brussels & these were PHENOMENAL! Brussels sprouts have that earthy, almost nutty flavor which paired incredibly well with the tangy umami of the kimchi. They were perfectly crisp on the outside while nice & tender inside. The bacon also played a huge part in this dish. These were no bacon bits, rather generous strips of real bacon. It has been a few years since we last dined at Chuck's Fish. The last time we dined here, we tried dishes from their dinner menu as well as their sushi menu & decided sushi is definitely the move here for us. Last night, we ordered Salmon Nigiri, the Meatloaf Roll featuring yellowtail, green onion, spicy sauce & tempura topped with avocado & tuna tartare as well as the Red Dragon Roll featuring soft shell crab, smelt roe, green onion & spicy sauce topped with tuna & avocado. The Salmon Nigiri was super fresh & had the perfect rice to fish ratio. We both thoroughly enjoyed the Meatloaf Roll & the Red Dragon Roll, but the Red Dragon Roll had the slight edge, for me. The combination of sweet soft shell crab, the pop of the smelt roe, firmness of the tuna & creaminess of the avocado was delightful. I really dig the atmosphere at Chuck's Fish. It's upscale & modern, but not pretentious. Service was friendly. They have a nice selection of spirits, wine, beer & specialty cocktails. I was pleased with my Pomegranate Martini as was my wife with her Maple Pecan Old Fashioned. They also offer Happy Hour daily featuring 1/2 off select drinks at the bar from 5-6pm. Chuck's is fabulous. The best sushi in the 280/Greystone area, imo.“
“This bar is located smack dab in the middle of the Pizitz food hall. It has ample seating, plugs along the perimeter, and the bartenders are cool. I like to come here to co-work since it's an ideal spot to also grab lunch and have meetings. They also have pretty awesome happy hour specials, the margarita is my fav. They also name drinks after loal biz owners sometimes, I loved the Jacqui Jones.“
“I really loved the live music (except the r.kelly song) and the ambiance. Would have been nice to have food served in the bar but there is a good truck parked across the street so it worked out. I really like being able sit outside and eat and drink as well. Will be going back soon.“
“There is nothing bad that you can say about this place! Every single time that we’ve been here, we’ve had an amazing experience. From service, food, seasonal food choices, drinks, and desserts, it’s just a great place to eat, and have a quick meal or a meeting or a leisurely dinner. We tend to go when we have just a little time to go in and have a quick bite and something to drink on our way to an event or something, but we went to a business meeting here a month ago, and it was, a great experience as well. They have a separate room that you can holdings in room for projector screen and such.“
“My husband and I took our 7 year old daughter here for Tomahawk Tuesday and it was fabulous! The child’s three course dinner was cute and had great options. She had the cheese/crackers, filet with fries, and sundae…she is very picky and ate almost everything. We got the chef’s NY strip and filet, spinach, and Fleming’s potatoes, fruit/chantilly cream, and crème brûlée…everything was fantastic. Great service and atmosphere!“
“I was alone in Birmingham and decided to pop in here rather than dine at a hotel restaurant. I'm glad I did. While the bar seating was full, they were kind enough to accommodate me on the heated patio. The food was excellent, so much so that I had to splurge on the Genepy sundae. I will have to come back whenever I am in Birmingham again.“
