“2/24/2024 After waiting patiently for a table and then another 40 minutes on our food, the food was wonderful, cooked exactly the way we ordered. I understand it was a Saturday night, but we were there at 5pm. Then waitress kept coming and just standing looking at us, she would take empty plates and glasses, that part was ok too. but when she came back after we paid and insinuated, we needed to leave because we had been sitting there an hour and that was long enough. I told her we were still eating and trying to enjoy the drinks we ordered. We had only gotten our food 2o minutes prior to this. needless to say, we hurried and finished so we could give up those 2 precious spots. Probably won't go back and if I do it won't be for a 1st date like that was.”

“We came for dinner Friday night, and it was busy. The parking lot was full, so I immediately got in the waiting list online as we were trying to find a parking space. This system worked well, we got a text message about 10 minutes after arrival that our seat was ready. The highlight was the quality of the food, minus my husband's steak being overcooked. The spinach dip appetizer with pita chips was excellent - I would have been happy having that as my entree. Salads were cold and freshly made, and the vegetables were freshly cut. I had the 12pc Red Rock shrimp entree with Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were nice and crispy and had a sweet/buttery drizzle of something on top. The shrimp were nicely cooked and well seasoned. My husband had a sirloin and shrimp combo - he did get a little cup of a butter dipping sauce for his shrimp, which evidently was missed on my plate. His side item was the macaroni and cheese, it was creamy and had tons of bacon bits inside. Kid #1 had kids chicken fingers with fries, kid #2 had an adult hamburger and fries. Everything was great. One tiny thing was there was zero bussing of dishes through the meal. I know they were busy, but we ended up stacking up all of our bread plates, salad bowls and appetizer plates and had them sitting on the table the entire time we were there.”

“Never judge a book by its cover! We are new in Decatur, trying a couple different local places here and we decided to try this coffee place, what a pleasant surprise! Coffee is delicious , had the hot almond joy and my husband the same flavor in frap, the sandwiches were also fresh and taste! The building almost turned us off, is old and it can use some tlc outside, inside is kind of artsy decor, the atmosphere is calm, it can also use some chandeliers or have the lights fixtures cleaned to brighten up the room a bit. Overall a place to enjoy good coffee and grab a deli style sandwich. I recommend this place and we will be back.”

“We decided to finally try Alfonso’s last night for pizza after living here way too long and seeing a friend post a picture of their pizza. So glad we finally tried it. We did take out of just pizza for a quick and easy meal for our family and it was delicious! I think it may be our new favorite pizza. Next time we’ll be trying more on the menu.”

“As usual, Smokey C’s is the best lunch place around Decatur. The food is outstanding and everyone is super nice. You can always tell a good restaurant by the length of the line. Even though the line is almost out the door every day. It moves quickly because of their great serving and cooking team. The flavor & tenderness of their smoked chicken can’t be matched by anyone else. With a large selection of sides, you can get just about any combination you like. Don’t forget an order of deviled eggs.”

“I really love the environment here and the positivity the staff has. I go here almost everyday before work and sometimes on my off days. I am always greeted with a warm welcome and smile. Never have I not been asked how my day is going or what my plans are for the day. If there’s not any cars behind me waiting I usually have a very pleasant conversation with one of the employees. “We hadn’t had iHop in years, so we decided to go one Saturday. They were relatively busy, but not overly so. What made our experience fantastic was our waitress, Jada. She. Was. Incredible! She made sure our 10-month-old got some food first so we didn’t have to worry about feeding him while we were eating. He kept dropping his teething toy on the floor, so she brought us a cup of warm water to rinse it off each time without us even asking! She was incredibly attentive and just an all around great person! We will definitely be back and it’s all because of Jada.”

On August 27th 2025 This Brandi and Tracey duo somehow made this trip completely different than the last pleasant review. They simply took a 5 star rating and made it a 10. I'm not trying to sound cliche at all, but for the very few times I've came in, they remember me like a long time friend you haven't seen in years. There's service and to be serviced. While be serviced, though there was no wait, you wouldn't even acknowledge the wait due to such a genuine, comfortable, warm felt environment! I am now working in the medical field as a nurse but I have been in the food industry for 10 years and I have waitress 7 years and I must say that place of business got it going on. As soon as you walked in your are greeted by the front lady (ASIA) who also was the cashier she was very friendly and made sure my call in order I had placed for the doctors office was ready and on time I will be back”

I recommend pork as the safe bet and turkey the same. The Chicken you may like, just texture was off.
