“Robert and Elsenna Howard celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary and it was the best because for dinner we went to KBC. The moment you enter the resteraunt you are greeted with a smile and warmest southern hospitality. Once we were seated within minutes of arriving (we had reservations), the experience broadens with Renea our waitress and her awesome meal recommendations and of course we were there for the quail and the duck. Renea loves her job, and trust me those are not words you just say to complete strangers. Renea for president!! Dessert was on her and hey that dessert was heaven. The drink and beer options were really great as well. My husband and I looked around as people came and left and the whole place worked like a well oiled machine. The way everyone asked us about the key to 32 years of marriage, and how others shared their longevity in their marriage made it clear we deserved this. For this moment we were with our people. The atmosphere was great, the food was awesome, fresh and hot!!! yes I said hot. The shrimp appetizers was the bomb.com. We are not from Alabama but are very familiar with the Dothan area, we are just trying to figure out why it took us so long to find our new best resteraunt spot in the world. Thanks to Renea, the hostess, all of the staff who made our night unforgettable until next year.. We are small town, hardworking folks, who love good food, people and this was what we needed to celebrate each other once again. Thanks KBC....”

“This simple drive-thru coffee shop has become the highlight of my weekend. My partner and I have been going about once a week for 8 months or so to split an iced latte and it is always well-made with very warm service. I recently got a few donuts for free as I came at the end of the day and it felt like such a surprise treat at the end of a long week. You cannot beat the convenience of the drive-thru and I love the music they play on the speakers outside while you wait. All the workers at this particular location are incredibly friendly, patient, and fast!”

My husband got the plain dog with just mustard ketchup and mayo while I got a slaw dog all the way. His was gone in about 3 bites LOL he said hands down the best dog he’s ever had. And my slaw dog was the best one I’ve ever tasted. It was perfect! Next the Mac and cheese…we shared an order of it and from first bite it was a fight with my husband to keep his paws out of what was supposed to have been OUR Mac and cheese lol this Mac and cheese tasted like Jesus himself had made it. Perfectly creamy. Just the right amount of cheesy. And there Nachos topped with Beef and Cheese….the size you get it’s huge! I was expecting some small little container but nope! We got a heaping container for our money and the nachos were amazingly delicious as well! Woulda been even better if I hadn’t been swatting my husbands hands out of OUR nachos the whole time. Must have cost an arm and a leg right? 2 dogs, Mac and cheese made by Jesus, huge order of nachos and beef, bag of chips, big ole cup of ice cold Pepsi and the best friendliest customer service you can imagine…. All for less than $20!!! As my teens say 10/10 RECOMMEND!”

I’ve followed them through all their location changes, and the quality and service have remained consistently excellent. “Best wings I’ve had in a long time! Loved the honey lemon pepper, it was unlike any wing flavor I’ve ever had before. The chicken itself was well seasoned and flavorful all on its own. The honey lemon pepper was not overly lemony with hints of sweetness and smokiness. Also loved their goat fries! These were saucy and crispy- topped with Cajun seasoning & ranch. They were flavorful & not too spicy. Well worth the hour 45 minute drive from PCB. 10 out of 10.”

I jumped up in a panic, but before I could even explain myself, Vaune appeared like a customer-service superhero. She just smiled and said, “Not a problem,” and seconds later brought me the fried nuggets I should’ve ordered.

When we finished eating, she literally intercepted me halfway to the trash can with a cheerful, “I’ll take that for you.”
And while I took my daughter to the play area, she spent time talking to my pregnant wife, who was having a rough day, and genuinely lifted her spirits.

Freeze them until you need them. I have vacuum sealed a couple loaves of bread instead of freezing and it's worked pretty good for arresting the aging process”

“We stopped by Hots Deli and we're so glad we did! We tried the Turkey Bacon Wrap and the Chicken Caesar Wrap — both were warm, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and very filling. Our sides were Lays Baked BBQ chips and baked seasoned fries. The fries were very well seasoned and tasted great. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the place was clean with plenty of seating. Our food came out fast too! Definitely a great spot for a tasty, quick meal — we’ll be back!”

I asked, “sorry we don’t have any unsweetened tea today”. That in my opinion is unacceptable. It’s on the menu, wasn’t busy, 6 people working, had sweetened tea. If they can make sweetened tea, they can make unsweetened tea, appeared to just choose not to make it. I’ll be back in the hopes this was an aberration and this location hasn’t fallen pray to the apathy affecting many other fast food locations.”

“First things first I would have to say that Barberitos is an excellent A+ competitor to Chipotle and especially here in Dothan the Chipotle is hit or miss depending on who's working, managing, and quite possibly the time of day but my first visit to Barberitos I was thoroughly impressed. It was significantly cleaner, had more options with different tortillas-flour, wheat, spinach, chipotle, wider selection of ingredients that were even fresher in some regards (they sautéed my onions, peppers, and even MUSHROOMS just for my order!) and was on point as far as the end cost to the customer along with giving free chips and salsa with every entrée to top it all off?! The salsa bar is awesome with carry out cups & citrus wedges-I tried all three salsas and all were scrumptious ?
Move over Chipotle and keep up the great work Barberitos cuz you just became my fave!??❤️

“It’s nothing over the top, but that’s what I love about it. It’s always very tasty and very plentiful portions! I’ve loved it every time and have no complaints at all (other than maybe preference with how they do shrimp, not my favorite). We’ve eaten here multiple times a month for about 4 months now, and I’ve yet to experience anything negative. Granted, I haven’t tried any of the curry or shrimp. My boyfriend doesn’t love the way they do their shrimp, but says the sushi is really good.”

“After seeing all the recent negative reviews of this restaurant, I wanted to give my own review as someone who's been coming here for years.

Panda is one of the better Chinese restaurants that I've been to, and my favorite one in Dothan. The food's typically always good, and I've never gotten sick from any of it. There are occasions where the egg rolls will be a little too greasy for my taste, hence the four stars, but apart from that it's usually really good. I particularly like the panda combo, with the pepper steak and chicken with broccoli. And when the egg rolls are not greasy, they're probably the best I've had from a Chinese takeout place. Both the fried and steamed dumplings are just doughy enough to not be too much, but still substantial and tasty at the same time.

As for the staff--which seems to be one of the biggest grievances people have--the woman who works the register has always been nice to me. Sure, she's not the friendliest person I've ever met, but then I'm not there on a social call. She's polite enough and always asks if I need sauce or anything else with my order.

As for the atmosphere of the place, I guess that would probably be its weakest point, but I view it as particularly a takeout restaurant anyway so it doesn't bother me. Admittedly, it's strange how they still follow the covid protocols for safety, years after the pandemic, but again, it's not really a big deal and obviously doesn't hurt the food.

So, in short, I find panda to be an above-average takeout Chinese restaurant, and I wish we had a place like that in Tuscaloosa, to be honest. I miss this place when I'm up there. I put it right there with Jin Jin and Dragon Garden in Enterprise (two other great takeout places, especially Jin Jin).
