“Here is why I rate them so high: First when I walked up to the area where they are serving it, I wait because of a customer they are talking to. While I wait, the lady infront of me has ALREADY ORDERED and I only have to wait about 1 second! As I start to walk up to one of the employees, he complements my shirt and immediately gets my order. He even adds "Take the time if you need it," and faces a little menu infrastructure of me on the counter. After ordering, he helps me with the cashier machine, and I obviously tip for how good my experience had been so far. I wait for about a minute until he signals me over to get my order. In all, I am definitely going again, and as an added bonus, the TEA was amazing with so many options and combinations to choose from. [Even ones that are not Boba]Kid-friendliness: I could see them being very kind to younger people!“

“The staff were extremely accommodating when half of our party was running late to our reservation due to traffic. Everyone was extremely friendly, and the meals came out promptly. “I have been eating here for over thirty years and having the all you can eat lasagna that is phenomenal on Thursdays or the Richman sub that has olive salad on it that just makes the sandwich if you like olives, it is great! I do enjoy eating here on the patio. They have had an older patio but just renovated the patio and it has a roof and it’s larger. It makes a very nice spot to eat lunch and enjoy the afternoon.“
“I had such a great time lounging with the adorable kitties! You pay to get a certain amount of time in the kitty lounge + it comes with a free drink! The place is clean and well maintained for the kitties to roam around and enjoy. The staff was very kind and the overall vibe was super nice! “I love the atmosphere in General, it is wonderful! I love the maximalism going on, and the cool products for sale all around the store. They serve coffee from June coffee, and they have really good cakes and pastries. This is a really fun hangout spot during the day.“
“I went here to study the other weekend and was not disappointed! The spinach and feta quiche and the vanilla latte were outstanding. Also there is plenty of seating for studying upstairs and downstairs. I also loved that they were displaying art from a local high school in the upstairs space. “This delightful coffee shop is a hub for folks in Crestwood and surrounding areas — a true sense of community is palpable and it makes me want to linger there for hours. I also love that they helped to support the 2024 Faith Igniting Young Adults Conference at Dayspring Church in Pelham. They're a HUGE blessing. “Everything Iz catered our fundraising dinner at the Vestavia Civic Center. The guests said it was the best food we have ever served and we have been serving dinners for over a decade. One guest liked the meal so much he threatened to lick his plate! My favorite is the Carmel cake. It is to die for!! “It's been a year since the first time I dined at The Gardens Cafe. I've dined here a few times since, but thought I'd add my most recent review via my local food review Instagram account, @eatingwithamybham A $20 fine dining experience. Birmingham Restaurant Week begins today. Local participating restaurants will be offering prix fixe menus thru March 3. I kicked off the week with lunch at one of my favorite participating restaurants, The Gardens Cafe. The Gardens Cafe is located at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens & is owned by local restaurateur royalty Kathy G & Co.. Their menu features elevated seasonal Southern favorites in a fine dining setting. The Gardens Cafe's Restaurant Week menu features a choice of entree & dessert for $20. I went with the Pan Seared Almond Crusted Rainbow Trout served over fontina cheese grits, sautéed green beans & classic picatta sauce with lemon, butter & capers. What a stunning presentation. It absolutely tastes as amazing as it looks! I find that trout has a mild, nutty flavor which paired exquisitely with the almond crust & lemony picatta sauce. The fontina cheese grits are silky & flavorful. A bite of the trout with the grits, sauce & briny capers was heavenly. The green beans were cooked perfectly & still had a nice snap. Dessert was Dark Chocolate Mousse with fresh berries & whipped cream. The mousse is decadent, yet light. Just right after a rich entree. The Gardens Cafe's atmosphere is beautiful. It's elegant, but not stuffy. Service is impeccable. Luther always takes excellent care of us, as does the rest of the staff. James, the chef, even came to say hello & made sure we were enjoying ourselves...& we certainly did! I didn't partake in the drink special today, but they're offering a choice of cocktail for $7. I recommend the French 75 (which I always make a "French 76" by asking that vodka be used in place of gin). I highly recommend adding The Gardens to your Bham Restaurant Week "must dine" list.“
“Have been eating here for the past 7 years and have always enjoyed everything, wide range of food. Breakfast is really great, my personal favorite is the cheese omelette with hash browns and bacon. Can not beat the hamburger and that’s what I just ordered for today. Also love the fresh sandwiches especially the roast beef and cheese, ( Boar’s Head Meats ) A lot of co-workers like the Hot Wings also great selection of salads.“
“For someone who has always loved tea, I can say this hands down is the best more freshest tea I’ve tasted to date! The Herbs, are blended so well, the smell is to die for and for the price, I’m completely sold! I got it super fast and it came with much more than I expected! “Nice, airy café with lite Southern comfort and homestyle fare and many products for sale separately a la carte. No line or trouble finding a table at lunchtime on a Saturday. Service was very friendly, and food was ready fairly quickly. Ordered the Andy Mac Burger and Apple Havarti, both with mac & cheese, and a slice of strawberry cake. All were good, and the Apple Havarti was a particular highlight.“
“Went for breakfast. The place is very airy and has a good vibe. We were seated promptly and presented with menus. Orrdered Huevos Rolandos and a cream cheese bagel with a side of smoked gouda grits. Everything was really good. Service was also great.“
“I’ve been to Ragtime Cafe at least dozen times now for take out food and dine in. I absolutely love all the staff. Their menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. I usually get the beef tenderloin and blackened shrimp salad. Their beef tenderloin is melt in your mouth tender and so flavorful. Everything I’ve tried there has been delicious. Their bartender V is hilarious, fast, and knowledgeable. She remembers everyone’s names and things they like. She can have a million things going on and still be getting drinks out perfectly. I wish I had time to dine in more often instead of grabbing an order to go. They are well worth a try! They have indoor and outdoor dining and can be perfect for a date night or a night out with friends!“

“This place was amazing! One of the best burgers i have ever had!! The owner/chef and Angel were so so so nice. I can’t thank them enough. We were driving through from STL to FL and stopped in for a quick lunch with some family. I am so glad we did. We have a 1 year old and 3 year old. The 3 year old didn’t like the sauce on the burger (moms fault) so they got us a new bun and then we asked for some hot water to make a bottle and the owner went above and beyond and boiled water for us so it would stay hot for the rest of our car ride! Thank you so much for the amazing food and kind service.“
“I’ve been eating Clean Eatz for almost a year now. I have lost 26 lbs, my blood pressure is better and my A1C is down. I love the freezer meals. They have a great variety each week so you never get bored with eating the same thing over and over. The staff is alway friendly and helpful. The meals are reasonably priced. In my book it is a win all the way around.“

“Great lunch spot with alot of variety. Now- gentlemen-there will be predominantly women when you walk in but to no avail- there are plenty of things on the menu to choose from if you want something a little heavier than a chicken or turkey sandwich. Olexa is a bakery known for their delicious cake, but the lunch menu is predominantly, soup, salad, sandwiches and a couple of crepe options. What I love is the trio- 1/2 sandwich, cup of soup and choice of salad. I have had both the tomato basil and chicken chili and both are delicious. They have several side salads and I particularly like the Caesar. My lunch partners like the garden salad. The turkey crunch sandwich is good, the steak salad very good and I will try the crepes next. Warm chocolate cake with ice cream or the vanilla buttercream cake room temp are my favorites and the perfect finish to the trio lunch. Usually crowded with a 10 minute wait- service efficient, staff polite and food consistently good.“
