“I wish i could give this place 100 stars. Very unassuming location but let me tell you.. outstanding in every possible way. Delicious food, amazing value, great people, and welcoming atmosphere. This is a gem just like the people who visit this location i got greeted even by the customers. Theyve streamlined the service and everyone behind the counter is amazing. I had the fried chicken- crispy yet juicy and tender and the portions are not for the weak. The mac was amazing the candied yams will be callin me in my dreams! The greens were tender but not mushy still had a bite and flavorful to the max! Get the corn bread and please do your taste buds a favor and go with the red velvet! (The sweet potato pie was recommended by a young lady behind the counter and i got it on my first visit she was right it was amazing as well) theres a special mix for the drinks that was out of this world so was the sweet tea . I will come back to this place everytime im in town.“
“I remember the food testing really great for the price! After that, the Sleep Monster whispered to me and made me take a nap and have sweet dreams. All wishes and efforts to spend time with family and participate with any other activity seemed to disappear, for the day.I loved it! Great food, friendly, service, nice price.“
“this was a last minute place we picked to eat after a visit to the space; man, am I glad we fid....the food was not only good, but freshly cooked, by highly talented people I ple....then the place we sat and ate, was a bar and dance club....Very nice and professional people....next time I'm in that city....i will be there...please put the address in your maps and go.....pleased!!!“
“Tastes like home cooked, Sunday lunch after church. We ordered the chicken and shrimp alfredo, grilled pork chop, and fried catfish. All were great but highly recommend the catfish! Oh, and my husband said the stuffing tastes like his Grandma's when she made it from scratch. I agree. Very satisfying.“
“I asked my friend to recommend a good place for soul food and knew he'd steered me well before I'd even gotten the restaurant's front door open. The smell was rich and warm and felt like a hug.Smoked turkey melting off the bones and served in its own sumptuous stock ... Slow cooked greens with a bit of potlikker to drink at the end ... Butter beans that were rich and creamy, perfectly cooked and not at all mushy. And a side of homemade cornbread.Mmmm! Yes, ma'am, pleaseandthankyou!“
“I am generally not one to eat at gas stations. I have nothing against them, it is just that they aren't part of my normal pattern for eating. New Orleans Lunchbox is the only one to get into my lunch rotation list. And I am told everything is good there, but I have never gotten past the Jambalaya. The first time I went I bought a quart because I was in a hurry and have never gotten past it on the menu because it is so good. It is thick with a variety of meats and some heat that gives it a little kick without any tears or need for buttermilk to sooth the burn. These people make a tasty mix for Jambalaya. It is at Holmes and Jordan which is easy access from Redstone or Research park and they do have some seating, but I always get mine to go and eat it on teleconferences. Great stuff. Great people. Definitely worth the stop.“
“I either received someone’s order, or they gave me what they wanted me to have….I’ve got to start checking my order!Good thing the food is good and the folks are friendly. I would give the service all stars if I had received what I ordered.(Also did not get the cobbler I paid for…. I know I didn’t need, but I wanted it. . )“
“We called an order in and was treated to the best fried catfish in town!! It was still hot and fresh when we got it home. And the hot sauce included is? The fried oreos are amazing, too, just so y'all know. Thanks for doing what y'all do and we'll definitely be back!“
“My mom and I had lunch there today! Everything was perfect! The service was great, the food was great. The catfish was cooked perfect, the chicken and dumplings were great. The black eye peas and turnip greens reminded me of my grandmother cooking! I will definitely be back next time I’m in Huntsville“
