My family adores this restaurant! We sometimes go several times a week. We love the food. A new fancy Mexican restaurant was built down the street. It's brand new, shiny tiles, fountains, nice atmosphere, but the food is just like any other Mexican restaurant all over the city....sort of "commercial " for lack of a better word.We love Tulums much better! The food is authenic! The people are very nice with generous smiles across their face. Many of the employee's know us on sight and bring our drink orders without asking . Several even know what we usually order for our meals. When my son passed away unexpectedly, a few of the employees showed concern that they had not seen him recently. It really meant a lot that they paid attention and cared .On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays they have game nights, which we also enjoy. No, it's not fancy with shiny new tiles or a sparkling fountain, but it's great food and great people!!!Parking: It's a small little thing shopping strip with Tulums, a sub sandwich shop, and a hair salon...so plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: They have your standard kids meals as well as Mexican fate with rice and beans.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp right in front along with 2 handicap parking places

Best and most authentic Mexican food, in addition to best quality of food, I’ve experienced here in Huntsville. I’m from El Paso and Los Angeles where Mexican food is outstanding. The Chef at Tulum combines flavors that are genuine to the food culture and meat cuts are quality. I’m super picky about meat and thoroughly “inspected” my meal the first time. It was perfect!! The chicken was tender breast meat, grilled wonderfully! We have been several dozen times since my initial “inspection” ? and have always had consistent quality meals!! Wouldn’t think of going anywhere else!!
I order close to $50 worth of dinner for pickup. The food was ready in time. Arrived & was given my order after I was asked my name. I arrived home & discovered half of my order was missing. I called & instead of just apologizing… they blamed it on DoorDash not realizing, I actually picked it up. I returned & was greeted with eye rolls, no hello, no sorry, no thank you. While checking the remaining part of my order, I noticed the chips but no quest. When I asked alerted the ypu g lady, she proceeded to charge me again. I refused & decided to chalk it up as a loss. The customer service was awful. Not too mention, the burria tacos were dry, no cheese, not tasty at all & seemed overcooked. I was only given barely any rice to go with meal, the meal was pathetic & comical. The nachos were soggy , but the steak in it was tasty. Chicken Tacos are always delicious, but I probably won’t return after this experience. Ironically, they were quite pleasant to the white patrons coming in as I entered/exited, from my observation. Totally disappointed in this place & even more-so since I live within a 1/2 mile of it.

My first visit was very nice. Staff was attentive to our requests and food was tasty. This is an American style Tex-mex, low in spice and heat, but well prepared and portioned. A gluten free diner can find some tasty bites for a nice meal. Tulum is in our go-to list of casual dining.
